Ava Haddad and Elaine Princi really would have favored had they been on the show at the same time. These Carla/Ed scenes really are nice. Not sure that I ever saw Carla and Ed interact with Dorian.

We went to vote after church on Sunday afternoon but the line was sooooo long and it was freezing so we had brunch instead. I kind of wish we had just rode it out because once you're already awake, it's so much easier than making yourself get up at the crack of dawn on election day. Luckily my voting spot is right across the street from Mickey D's and Starbucks so I look forward to my Egg McMuffin, hash browns, and Pumpkin Spice latte as I eagerly anticipate helping my president win his second term.

The actor who played Charles was a good, solid actor/soap opera presence, with a quality not unlike Peter Francis James. He would have been a good choice for Evangeline and Layla's dad, who unfortunately was dead. Wow, this clip is REALLY making me miss the soaps. Just great memories of eager anticipation for The City, such sadness to see that Loving didn't work out after years of fighting the good fight. I missed a lot of the serial killer episodes and I wonder if I'd even bother if I had the chance to see them all again having seen the end.

I agree. That's your one chance a year to really grab your audience's hearts and remind them why they love these characters and this show. AMC always did holidays well. I know a lot of people would roll their eyes at this these days, but I think what Viki says to Cassie at 7:32 is so lovely.
