  1. Okay, I stand corrected. She said it before, also, when no press was present. Of course, we are amazed at her arrogance in going out of her way to repeat it to Michael Logan. To me the most important thing is that she did not get away with saying it!!! She seems to have been enamored of her words. What a crock. This is her legacy. She wiped away her whole life's accomplishments. She will always be remembered for saying this truly evil statement. But, she thinks she's right! I thought the recast was just another slap in Zas's face.
  2. Do I imagine this sweet boy Throwing a Temper Tantrum? Surely not!
  3. A clichรฉ, yes, but, frankly, so what?
  4. The EVIL thing she said was not in an interview. She didn't say it for publication. She just said it right there in front of the assembled parties. In front of God & everything. That she would possibly believe, she was just making it clear that we wouldn't want that for the fans. Sarcasm isn't strong enough to hit this statement. Thank God someone published it. If not she might have gotten away with it.
  5. I'm not sure we'll ever get Spencer back. Could be, but ...meh. I can just see it now. Kristina gets into an argument with this woman spouting politics in her bar. Kristina is patient for as long as she can stand it. Then, that's it! ๐ŸซฐA quick call to an enforcer.
  6. What a triumvirate!!!! I could never, and would never, disagree with this assessment.
  7. I'm so sorry you lost your grandmother to this dreadful disease. I wish Science would find an answer. But, there are so many types of cancer & within types so many variations. I despair of it happening, well, at least in my lifetime. However, I will live with my surviving it. For me it is enough & that's a very good thing because it's what I'm stuck with. And
  8. Well, the thing is we don't know who made the actual decision. It may have been above both Rauch & MADD's heads. But, what she said, even if it were out of her hands what had been decided, I mean, just thinking of it now, it is so egregious, appalling, disgusting and unforgivable, that her part in it stands out.
  9. A few things. I think Labine very likely was interested in the show & attempted to learn it. I don't think her problems were in that vein. Instead I think her problems were those of clashing, conflict, etc. I know that some things she pitched were shot down. I think GL was wrong trying to have the town of Springfield & its residents and the Santos mob family and the island principality. I agree that the show was trying to tell a princess storyline. Just look at the Cassie/Richard wedding & it's right there to see. Who were these other writers that Paul or MADD could not get to come to work for them? Fascinatingly enough, it seems no one knows! I have always been suspicious of no one knowing any tea. I could go into so many criticisms of Rauch and of MADD. Not so of Labine but only because she had so little power or agency, so a very different kind of animal. Oh, yeah, at OLTL Labine did write Crystal's Maggie as some kind of a clown thing. The only conclusions I could see is that these people simply did not work together, didn't mesh, didn't gel. I think of cognitive dissonance when I think of this wreck. And, when it comes to the situation with Zas, we cannot forget MADD's "contribution."
  10. Sure, it could be that. That timeslot, I think of it as perilous. So many shows have had problems, right before or at the lunch hour. I guess it just never was a thing in my head since it was Y&R. I knew it was a problem for PC & for Sunset Beach. (BTW, Sunset Beach was supposedly aimed at a young, urban group, but why was it on at noon?) Anyway, thanks for taking a stab at my question.
  11. I love this performance as well as loving the song. I am a breast cancer survivor. After my bilateral lumpectomies I had to undergo radiation therapy, 3 days a week for 18 weeks & they had us pick music, which would be played while the targeted radiation would be shot at us. Anyway, you get the idea. My lead song which was my theme was this song. So, it's very meaningful to me.
  12. Of course it doesn't make sense. But, all these different networks & individuals, typically EPs misuse focus groups & may also misuse other things that should be valuable tools & this has been going on literally for many years. I was at a Popular Culture con in New Orleans in April 2002 & I met a Sociologist/Statistician who ran research for NBC & he told what I would call horror stories where, for example, they'd show head shots, ordinary B&W pictures & ask these "panel members" what did they think about this couple? Etc. Well, you can't tell anything from b&w head shots!! That's stupid.
  13. It really better have been at the actor's choice.
  14. You, too, huh? I literally screamed NOOO.
  15. Yeah but remember last year when they burned up Holly in a huge fire. I imagine this will be the same kind of thing. Fake-out.
  16. She first put Kevin & Lucy together as a couple. Definitely see the GENERATIONS catfight. Those two women almost destroy an apartment. Takes a very tall adult male to physically pull them apart. (And usually I'm not a fan of catfights.) On B&B she wasn't the lead (Mulcahey was.) but she was a part of Maya's story. At GH when she wrote the revisitation of the Luke & Laura rape, she used her own rape, Liz's rape & Audrey's rape to get at the original rape. (No idea why Guza gave this to her. Maybe just really smart.) I'm sorry but I have no idea what she got to write at Santa Barbara. Besides her, people speak very highly of Susan Dansby.
  17. But, it was an act on Michael's part. He went & immediately saw picture & headline of Willow in DC on his phone, turned the phone around, called Diane & told her what had happened & asked what can they now do to Willow, who has just taken his son across a state line without permission, or having even notified Michael. I mean I'm pissed that they didn't give us a ton of DARK MICHAEL, but right then & there, for one brief shining moment ๐ŸŽถwe definitely got SCORCHED EARTH MICHAEL. The dude is just a cool dude.
  18. BTW just in case anyone doesn't know Pratt not only screwed over Beth Ehlers & way more importantly he offended & appalled Susan Lucci & MEK & a whole slew of AMC actors, basically telling them all to forget everything they knew about their characters, history, the whole town, adding that he was there to shake things up. Now, back to this fun topic, Cameron Mathison as Ryan Lavery on AMC & Drew (various surnames) on GH. Technically not an actor at all but definitely acting in a cameo role & definitely unpopular, Brian Frons as God on Santa Barbara. (This can definitely be seen on WLS.net & maybe on YouTube as well.)
  19. WOW. I was so sure ... D'oh.
  20. Elsewhere someone, presumably a Sam fan, replied to my post, adding their thought that in a similar situation Sam McCall's actions would have been EXACTLY THE SAME AS LULU'S. Made me go hmmm.
  21. And, I know we can all confirm the mullet but I'm not sure if he's got anything on the curls, which I always thought were naturally his.
  22. Okay, regarding Cameron, earlier on his IG, who here thinks someone at the show told him to take down the bare-assed pic? Show of hands? ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™€๏ธ
  23. I'm glad you could tell from my string of emojis that I was joking!! Charlotte would just turn & say, "Here, PahPah."
  24. Not a problem. Karmically, I made an effort, so ... ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‡
