Per usual w/Hillary though, the ill-conceived "CP time" joke with DeBlasio threatens to overshadow this. Maybe Hillary needs to ban anyone named "Bill" from being a surrogate. I don't think that's a big deal. It was an awkward joke but it was obviously scripted. I think the point was to remind everyone that DiBlasio's wife is black.

Hillary meets with the New York Daily News editorial board. The level of detail she goes into is amazing.

The best description I've seen is that Trump doesn't want to be president but he does want to win the election. He's so insecure and narcissistic that he craves the attention but he has no desire to do the job.

I'm enjoying people saying that it couldn't be true because it's the Enquirer only to be reminded that N.E. was right about John Edwards.

This is the first time I've hoped something like that was true. He's an odious, hateful sociopath and there has to be something really nasty in his past.

Exactly where did it come from? What sparked it because I obviously missed something. I'm guessing two things. Sam's death and Maggie's pregnancy. IMO, Carol's Achilles heel will always be kids because of Sophia. She tries to harden them up in the hopes that they'll be able to survive but in this case her attempt to harden Sam up is what killed him. Even if she doesn't know that he words were in his head were what made him freeze, she has to know that she damaged him. I suspect that's why she visits his grave. Carol's seen a lot of dead kids and one of them she had to kill herself. I think Maggie's pregnancy has brought the person she used to be back up to the surface and it's screwing with her. Throw in Morgan's pacifist stuff and the fact that this was essentially a paid assassination and I can see where Carol's getting squirrelly. That doesn't mean that I think they are writing it well but MM is playing it beautifully. In the hands of a lesser actress, it would be driving me crazy.

Good. Forgive me, as I just recently started becoming more interested in politics, but who was that one guy who was running for president maybe 4 years ago, or 8 years ago, and his campaign came to a crashing halt overnight when he gave that goofy overly energetic speech about how "and we're gonna take New Hampshire, and we're gonna take Ohio, and were gonna take South Carolina.... whoo!!!!" or something to that effect. Howard Dean. I never understood what it was about that moment that made people turn their back on him. He went on to become chair of the DNC and I'd give anything to have him back.

I've been enjoying all the people who say "I don't watch TV for politics!" As if politics isn't in the DNA of all Shonda's shows.

The beauty of watching each GOP candidates suddenly knuckle under for Trump is that it shows the party for the morally bankrupt hypocrites they truly are. "Trump is a fraud and a con artist but I'll support him" lays out perfectly how these people have no values, ethics, or morals. All they care about is the quest for power. They now have zero credibility. The mouth breathing base won't care but independents, moderates and however few thinking conservatives still remain will be able to call them out for their craven weakness.

I don't put much stock in conspiracy theories of people defensively voting for others. I have no doubt some people do it but not enough to be concerned about. Only a handful of people care enough to play that kind of chess game. I think the issue is that polling is tougher in the post landline age.

I'm terrified about what will happen at the convention this summer. Between the Trump fascists and Cleveland cops still freaking out about the consent decree, it's just a powder keg waiting to blow. I was going to leave town that week but part of me thinks I should stay.

I think Daryl's going to be the one to die. Jesus is pretty much his replacement. Of course I could happily wave goodbye to Abraham. I had to laugh at Rick trying to explain to Carl that this thing with Michonne just happened. Like literally a couple of hours ago. I liked Jesus telling Carl that he was waiting for "your mom and dad to get dressed." BTW, where is Carol? Is MM working on another project or something?

I think that's where Liz Warren will come in. She hasn't endorsed Bernie or Hillary and I think that once Bernie's done she will be the bridge back to the party. As for Bernie, the best thing he could do would be to stay in Congress. One of my biggest complaints about my fellow libs is that we focus too much on the White House. If we can flip the Senate, we can get a lot done. The House is a lost cause until after the census.

I continue to forget that Carson is even still running. All I know is that Hilary or Bernie better win come Nov b/c I am packing up and leaving if Donald wins. At this point, I think the two need to grin and bear it and run on a joint ticket b/c it might take both of them to defeat Donald. The Castro brother who is rumored to be Hilary's running mate can take a position as Secretary of State and be groomed from there IMO. A joint ticket won't work. The whole point of a vice president is to have backup incase something happens to the POTUS. Also VP candidates should be someone who can reach out to other demographics and someone who can then run for president when the time comes. Plus the Berniacs would never accept it. They've convinced themselves that Hillary is a murdering she-devil who makes coats from dalmatian puppies.

Kasich is my governor. Do not be fooled. The difference is that Kasich doesn't say horrible things. Instead he just quietly does them. Unfortunately I've all but given up on the media ever taking a hard look at this zealot and seeing the damage he's done to Ohio. He and his cronies decided to rig the data on failing charter schools in order to keep the cash grab going. Ohio's school rankings have plummeted under him. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/09/03/ohio-department-education-records-release.html He's an utter zealot when it comes to reproductive rights. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/07/wolf-sheeps-clothing-gov-kasichs-reproductive-rights-record He's jumped on the defund Planned Parenthood bandwagon. He's also cut funding for domestic violence programs and for programs to reduce infant mortality even though Ohio has one of the worst infant mortality rates in the country. (45 out of 50) He signed a bill that cut funding for rape crisis centers if they even mention abortion. He's stacked the state medical board with his right to life cronies even though many of them have no medical experience. Also under his administration, Ohio remains at the bottom of job creation rates. http://www.cleveland.com/opinion/index.ssf/2014/01/dismal_numbers_on_ohio_job_gro.html

Rubio is Mitt Romney all over again. He's lacking both in substance and charisma. If Trump gets the nomination, the electoral math just isn't there for him to win. He's alienated every group that anyone would need to win. I am curious whether he would be good for turnout or bad. I was talking with someone who says he think that Trump on the ticket would make a lot of moderates sit home but at the same time I wonder if he's motivating white nationalists who haven't voted in the past to come out. Of course he's definitely going to increase Latino turnout and he's already driven away a generation of potential Latino voters. As for SCOTUS, this blockade has the potential to take down my senator, Rob Portman, who is already quite vulnerable and selfish as it is that would make it all worth it for me.

After the Sanders mob went after John Lewis I just quit. I don't engage with them anymore, even the ones who are friends of mine. It's talk to the hand the moment Sanders' name comes up. I've unfollowed all of them and some of my fellow Hillary voters because I just need to keep the toxicity out of my news feeds. The Bernie or Bust folks are every bit as ignorant, nihilistic and vicious as the tea party. I just hope that when this election is over they fade back into the woodwork and don't become a permanent fixture like the tea party has.

I'm not a Richonne shipper but that was a nice earned moment. I usually quit shows once the leads hookup. House, Bones, Castle, are all shows I abandoned due to shipping but I think I'll stick around. I think the only thing that would make the fanbase happier is when Daryl finally gets his nasty self into a shower.
