  1. The entire run of Titans has been put online once again:
  2. It just seems like the movies, especially the second one, went into a more fantastical escapist route which is why I doubt they'll properly adress issues that's likely going on in their lives. And yeah, Samantha as an oversexed 65-year-old would just be... eeeh. I can see why Kim Cattrall doesn't want to do it besides her dislike of SJP.
  3. Honestly, if they kind of delved into with how Carrie's career is potentially falling apart due to her aging, the media format she used to write for dying and the difficulty of someone in her mid-to-late 50s trying to navigate a very youth-driven market it might be interesting, but also potentially make Carrie look like a very sad and pathetic character which means they won't do it.
  4. I'm towards the end of the second arc and Erica's lookalike Helena and Jean Paul are about to get married. Will it go off without a hitch? Dun-dun-DUUUN.
  5. I think he wrote the last nine weeks out of 195 episodes, so I guess around 50-ish episodes. Sadly, those are not uploaded (or has been deleted) on YouTube. They are available in the way that they've been aired in syndication and there are people selling bootleg dvds, they're just not currently on the internet.
  6. Oh yeah, the pacing of the show is insane - they introduced a character who was going to kill herself and possibly be murdered by Jean Paul, then quickly moves into the Desmond Mansion via blackmail, is revealed to be a witch and then killed off. It all happens in ten or so episodes. There's really not room for a lot of character development, it's a shame that the last 65 episodes aren't available on YouTube (I've only found bootleg dvds via a sketchy site, but I'm not sure I want to spend 60+ dollars on those episodes) as Lemay would come in around episode 150 or so.
  7. Erica (or at least the actress) is back! I loved her so I don't mind. She still seems quite evil. Also, very little to nothing about the Desmond treasure. Witches are just evil.
  8. Oh right, about 30 episodes into the second arc they're letting us know why this all is happening - there's a Desmond treasure and the witches want it. Erm.
  9. Agatha is too funny. First she's going to throw herself into the river, then get murdered by Jean Paul, then blackmails her way into the Desmond mansion.
  10. LOL, so I'm about ten episodes into the first Desmond Hall arc and Jean Paul has now started killing random women. I guess he's technically cursed, but still, we thought keeping Ben on DAYS was bad... oh and there's also something-something about witches and a gay sex dungeon where the ghost (?) of his brother Philip appears at times .
  11. There was a plot about the missing medical journals papers that they could've expanded on I guess - in the end they only found one of five papers that were missing. The medical aspect of Erica's resurrection is just entirely dropped when she reappears; add that early on in the show it seemed like Jacques was trying to keep Erica from getting resurrected, I assume because the doll was in the capsule with her.
  12. Oh wow, I'm done with the Maljardin arc and in all honesty, I don't see how it could've gone differently. It was such a limited concept to base the series on and literally keeping the cast there forever just wasn't going to work. Something definitively did happen around episode 45 though; for one thing they started with Dark Shadows-esque opening narrations. Poor Erica. She was my favourite character for her murderous ways.
  13. For the past 10 or so episodes they've been afraid of a damn rabbit. I'm not even kidding. Poor Raxhl, she wants to make bunny stew so badly.
  14. Kristian Alfonso's exit from DAYS ranks at #6 on TvLine's most shocking exits of 2020, being the only daytime soap represented: https://tvline.com/lists/tv-cast-actor-exits-2020-list/ 6 Kristian Alfonso, Days of Our Lives Photo : NBC screenshot Talk about a mic-drop moment: Over the summer, the veteran actress, who’d played beloved heroine Hope for nearly 40 years, announced that she wouldn’t be returning to Salem when the soap resumed production. Later, she revealed that she’d taken a powder rather than be benched for a few months before starting a new storyline. Finally, we found out that because of the timing of Alfonso’s decision, Hope’s last scene would be played opposite — no, really? — a framed photo of her “late” daughter.
  15. Actually, the McKenzie house would cost you a bit over a million dollars today: https://www.coldwellbankerhomes.com/ca/granada-hills/16972-crystalaire-pl/pid_39199775/?fbclid=IwAR0aPxkN6GlZ_VHexqJQLH78eXkupxl8oAZdG7KH4q5bvLlwJDrbVEdmNuE Either way, the reruns for the prime time soaps were lousy, hence why they produced so many episodes while they were still profitable.
  16. Let's be real, this is still the case today. Any time a potential "lead" (especially if they're still considered for romantic pairings) change their appearance in a noticeable way producers and showrunners freak out. Just look at the [!@#$%^&*] Freddie Smith got for his weight gain and how his storylines changed once he started fluctating in weight; it's just that they're being less vocal about it these days.
  17. The Carrie Diaries were going there in its second season by introducing Samantha, but obviously it was cancelled before they got to the part where Carrie meets Miranda and Charlotte. I guess this sequel could open with Samantha's funeral.
  18. Looking at it more closely, it wasn't. The movie was shot in Dallas and the original Peyton Place set was at 20th Century Fox studios. In the movie it's clearly not a set, so I assume they just found a square that looked similar. Here's a contemporary shot of the OG set:
  19. It's actually not the actors fault - it's the set designers: Seems like an odd change, but maybe there was some time between filming the pilot and the second episode?
  20. I've started watching this since I'm finished with Peyton Place and it feels like an appropriate companion piece to Dark Shadows. Already in the second episode there's an inconsistency with when Jaques was born - in the first episode he's born in 1760 and died in 1789, then in the second episode that's suddenly changed to 1660 and 1689. I'm not sure if it was originally a mistake by the set designers or if they just changed their minds and decided to pull him back a 100 years randomly. Too bad "only" the first 130 episodes seem to be online and the last 13 week arc isn't. I wonder if it'll ever be reuploaded to YouTube again? The first 130 episodes have been up for almost 10 years now.
  21. It did look like the same square, but the interiors were entirely different.
  22. Watching The Next Generation and I can see why it failed - the concept of Allison's daughter coming to town isn't a bad concept per se, but it does rely too heavily on people having watched the original series while at the same time changing important details such as Matthew suddenly being a female and named Kelly (which was Jill's baby's name that she tried to pass off as Allison). It's a shame because it seems like Peyton Place would've been ripe for a revival in the 80s (especially with Barbara Parkins as a HBIC), but the execution of this is horrible.
  23. Oh wow, Murder in Peyton Place is horrible. Why is Norman suddenly married to Jill? Why is Stella Chernak suddenly a super villain kidnapping Jill? And the remade flashbacks where they end up calling Joe Chernak "Joey", which never happened on the original series.
  24. I just finished the series and am now watching Murder in Peyton Place... what a mess and I'm only a half hour in! Dorothy Malone clearly couldn't be bothered acting sad over Allison dying.
  25. I thought Star was better than the concurrent seasons of Empire tbh.
