Now that was classic ATL. Tonight was good.

Good. I hope Brandi is out. Once she leaves, I'll consider coming back to Dallas. I always felt that if they were going to get rid of Leeanne, Brandi needed to bounce too.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh it is gonna happen. She is gonna overplay her hand along with Whitney. I think this ploy of trying to put Jen on an island is gonna backfire. Especially, once Jen and Mary really repair their relationship and start comparing notes alongside Lisa and Meredith.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
She really rubbed me the wrong way this reunion. I think next season is when the mask will officially drop with the mass much like Gizelle or Kyle did with the fans. Bravo is placing too much on her when she isn't the actual star.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I know most people love Heather but I don't. I find her to be sneaky and at the crux of a lot of sh-t. She gives me Kyle Richards vibes--protected by Bravo and one to throw the rock and run. I found it boggling how she was so anti-Jen and peeved because Lisa wasn't. I didn't like that she kept trying to pinpoint that Meredith too. If Jen were smart, she'd make Heather's fear a reality and dump her. And Mary...😑 She was caught in so many lies...ugh. I don't know why the other women didn't call sh-t out, but I guess Jen was the intended target of the night, so Mary skated off. Yeah, Lisa and Jen are the only two I care for. Whitney and Meredith are OK. Mary and Heather are both problematic for me.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
All of this above just makes it even harder to believe that this genre is on its last leg. Especially, when you have passionate fans devising WAY better story projections than those writing on these shows. And yes, networks play a pivotal role too but still. You'd think at this stage, these networks (if they really want to keep the last 4 alive and kicking for another 5-10 years) would dump all the hacks they have now and start surfing forums for fans to take over on these shows.

Mysteriously dropped Storylines
Y&R really missed the ball with that one too when Adrienne Leon occupied the role.

That's interesting. Is she saying that because Blake was thrown into the orbit of Phillip? From what I've seen, I just don't see Chelsea doing some of the things Blake did. Plus, it wouldn't've been as fun because we wouldn't've had Roger and Holly return because of that. And from my previous statement, which I want to elaborate more on, because I do think Chelsea could've became Blake-like had she returned in the late 90s/early 00s as bitter, washed up singer hellbent.

I've been touting for the longest that Mindy/Mallet was the money couple, not Mallet/Harley. I never saw it for Mallet and Harley. And with Chelsea, from what I've seen of her, it seems like no regime really tried with her even though she had potential. Dare I say it, but I would've loved to have seen Chelsea return in later years and how she would've meshed with the canvas. Especially with KDP having become a big star within the genre at that point.

I doubt they would've ever brought Nathan back had he not been character assassinated. I think at that stage of the show, Y&R felt there was only room enough for 4 Black characters and Nathan wasn't one of them. That was enough to fulfill the quota. I think 4 is the magic number on soaps in general with the exception of AW in the early 80s.

I loved Hamp even though he was a stubborn old bull. Rewatching this unnerved me and reminded me how this show cast Hamp and Gilly aside once Nancy Curlee left. What was done to them was criminal. It always bothered me how GL (along with Y&R in the early 90s) flourished with diversity and nuked it to h*ll by '95.

Tonight was a cute episode of RHOA. Finally! I'm seeing potential with this group.

Married to Medicine
Bravo is disgusting. Mariah's replacement is not lost on me. Bravo never wanted to display Mariah/Aydin's background but now they cast a brown couple in their place? Full of sh*t. I hope Mariah wins in her case against Bravo and Purveyors of Pop.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Oh, OK. I was wondering because the dialogue was somewhat suggesting that he debuted not too long ago. And finally seeing Cathy Craig onscreen makes me happy. I've only read about how much of a mess she was from various synopsis. Glad to finally put a face to her. I am praying more soap clips from the early to mid 70s keep emerging like they have lately.

Agreed. And both of them are already the "poor little rich girls." Dare I say it but I would've liked to have seen Jordan tossed in Kia's orbit too if they weren't going to have her with Spencer.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Good for him! It always boggled my mind how GH didn't reward him with the headwriter role of the main show after Night Shift ended.

@slick jones, I think Laura might be getting her own story with Tyrone's sister. I just get a feeling that these 2 are going to lock horns soon enough. And I am glad that I am not alone with Spencer/Olivia. And can they develop JJ more this season? That is my ONE gripe with this show--some many characters that I care for that are criminally underdeveloped (re: JJ, Kia, Chris, Darnell, Cam...).

I know that the mass want Spencer/Liv but I don't. One thing that I've grown to like about them was that they had that brother/sister relationship or friendship. I'm one of the few that actually likes Liv with Asher. I always wanted Kia (Spencer's ex-girlfriend) to have a bigger role. And I am interested to see where this arc with Tyrone's sister goes. Something is very menacing about that one despite her being an attorney.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Caroline Stanbury and LVP (returning to the show) together would be delicious TV. They'd eat Kyle, Rinna, Dorit, and Erika alive. It would warm my heart. RHOC: The entire cast needs to be fire or end the show at this season and move to another city in CA--preferably Santa Barbara.

I always loved the interworking of WSPR with Holly, Gilly, and Roger. Those 3 always had soft spot in my heart with the shady mess they'd do at that news station. It always bothered me how it was phased out in the mid 90s. I hate how career ambitions, which created so much drama on this show, was phased out around that time too. If you didn't work for Spaulding, Springfield PD, Cedars (which they hardly ever showed), or Company, you literally didn't have a job. I never saw it for Harley and Mallet. IMO, Mark Derwin had chemistry with Kimberly Simms. Mindy and Mallet was where the money was at.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think she and Porsha are draining to watch at this point and y'all know I love me some Kenya. I am so over Kenya v. Porsha x1000th. It's stale. It's boring. I'm to the point where I want Bravo to can everyone and find a new batch of a women. I don't think it'll pick up at all. They are about to drag out stripper-gate much like they did with the fight on Potomac or Denise/Brandi on BH. If these shows are going to focus on dragging out one story all f*cking season long, cut the episode count down to 10-12 episodes for each show in the entire franchise. Hell, I think they need to do that anyway. Every city is stale and it all boils down to production being too heavily involved.
