  1. I don't know if anyone post these on here but I found it fascinating! Now this was an ingenious way of promoting the daytime dramas on The Price is Right.
  2. I am assuming this is when we're the show threw Holly into Daniel's orbit. I hope more episodes from this era pop up. Can I just say that I miss at lot of the female characters from this era of GL? Holly, Gilly, KM's Mindy, Alexandra, Vanessa, Blake, Maureen... This show was endearing with strong, complex working women. All of them being ambitious and juggling complex personal lives with an even more complex work life. I miss this era of the show. I miss this era of soaps. Now that I am older and am experiencing workplace drama, I appreciate dramas like this even more.
  3. Did you all hear about Nene's son, Brent (23), having a heart attack and stroke? Please keep them all in your prayers.
  4. I think Mia had a cancer scare/misdiagnosis and she spoke too soon. We've all seen that Mia interprets information wrong all the time. I'd imagine she really interpreted what the doctor said as she was possibly hysterical and scared at the time. I think Gizzy was tacky for questioning Mia they way she did. She could've done it with more tact like Karen did. I partially get why Ashley is getting a house with Michael but then I don't. That situation is confusing, but as long Ashley comes out victorious, that's all that matters. Next week is the start of cheating claims with Chris...
  5. Doubt it. I think I just read that Kyle is doing Teddi's podcast with Rinna and Erika in the near future. Again, she's choosing friends over her sister. I hope it is worth it b/c I do think that Kathy really meant it when she said she'll destroy Kyle's family. And I doubt it'll be hard for her to do that.
  6. Mia's ex-friend, Jacqueline, who is the official friend to the show this year, engages in domestic violence and Mia has called her out on it as they are currently beefing online... This season is about to be MESSY!!
  7. The first few minutes of Potomac has been released:
  8. That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying, @Paul Raven! Was Mindy already starting to mess with Roger at this point, or was this around the beginning of their rendezvous? Either way, it now makes total sense why Mindy found solace in Roger as Rick (once again) was wrapped up in saving Beth with Phillip. Sam is a one character that I am always shocked that GL didn't bring back in later years as she was fully connected with a lot of people on the canvas. It would've been interesting to see how she would've been when Phillip returned in the late 90s or even the last year of GL. I always felt they didn't explore Phillip's relationships with his siblings post this era. And Lil Billy being heartbroken over Billy not showing up to the wedding broke my heart. Bryan Buffinton was such a good actor and it never made sense to me why they let him slip from their clutches.
  9. Not surprised. Dorit has always been a snake. She's just sneaky about her sh*t. This just further proves that the Fox Force 5 have been plotting and scheming to remove threats (LVP and Denise) or try to (Kathy, Garcelle, Sutton) by planting stories in the press. Sadly, I think that we are just scratching the surface.
  10. I can believe it. Kathy would be nuts to not wield her power in this manner. I'm surprised she didn't take Rinna to task long ago. Rinna just better hope Kathy doesn't have Harry blacklisted too. Harry will leave her a** real quick if he has to choose between her or his career.
  11. Oh, honey! Kathy ATE! Finally, another Richards sisters that ain't scared to take Rinna to task. However, unlike Kim, Kathy has power and connections. She's about to run Rinna out of Hollywood without lifting a finger. And can Kyle stop with the damn tears? Had you put a stop to this years ago, Rinna wouldn't keep violating your family and close friends, thus further putting you on an island. Andy needs to take Rinna's bluff and put her on pause forever.
  12. I did not realize there was such tense dynamic between everyone in the Hughes blended family. I would've just assumed that everything fell into place once Bob and Kim married as they all knew each other for a long time. And who would've thought Lisa of all people would've been a smidge jealous! I'm hoping to find more episodes from this era on Youtube! And Steve...😑 Not shocked at him being peeved that Betsy helped him get out of debt. I try and wrap my head around why he was so popular with the audience. He was so damn brutish all the time.
  13. What about Search for Tomorrow, The Secret Storm, and Love of Life too? Soap promos, while unique and endearing from back then, used to be odd from what I've seen on Youtube. They'd only typically promote a handful of shows while disregarding the other shows in their lineup.
  14. Well I am sure they are kicking themselves now for not capitalizing on talent when it was staring them in the face. Yet another reason why this show is on its last leg. That's what I am saying.
  15. Never have a seen a show allow an EMMY winner, who won in LEAD, leave the show shortly after their win. Most shows would throw everything including the kitchen sink to ensure they stayed and had story. But different time, different era. I have other thoughts too, but I'll digress. Onward and upward to Mishael. I hope she lands something big post Y&R, so yet again, this show can have egg on its face for allowing their talent to leave their clutches so easily.
  16. Wasn't Cricket an honorary Abbott at one time? They've completely forgotten about that connection and haven't addressed that in years. I'd add Sharon and the Winters too. It has always boggled me Sharon didn't have more of a presence/connection with her best friend, Dru's, kids. She should really be a presence for them now more than ever now that Neil is gone too. Sadly, Sharon is reduced to pouring coffee for everyone.
  17. I've always been an advocate for the fandom taking over and fixing this genre, as many of us have our fingers on the correct pulses anyways. And there lies the problem. Brad still writes Brooke like she was written 30 years ago. They need to let that go and start adding layers to all these characters. B&B has the most one-note characters (IMO) in all of the genre. No one is really multi-dimensional. No one really possesses much character growth. Sheila and Stephanie have been the most complex characters on this show, hence why they have/had the strongest followings. Sadly, Sheila has been reduced to doing dumb sh*t, and nowadays, I realize why Susan Flannery stepped away from this drivel.
  18. Did Whit have issues the Hughes? From what I've read or little I've seen, they've always had him fixated on his hatred for Steve or Margo. Furthermore, that is one episode of ATWT I am still itching to see--the murder of Whit. I've watched the trial, but I am surprised no one has posted earlier episodes from that era.
  19. (re: RHOA) I don't know what it is. However, if they are punishing the show because of the lawsuit where they settled with Nene, that's dumb. The women on the cast did not win at all in that lawsuit, and Nene stayed subtly jabbing the women throughout the process as she felt they didn't support her or declared Bravo isn't as bad as Nene claims. And yes, Kandi mentions it on her Youtube channel with Drew that they cut out Drew's near altercation with Sanya. You can tell they cut out a lot of stuff (too) to protect Marlo and Sheree. But backtracking to the promos, I feel like if anyone should get promotional money, it should be RHOA as they are the housewife show that put the entire franchise on the map and was number 1 for the longest. I do think that Bravo is self-sabotaging themselves because what network doesn't promote their own shows?! I've seen more promotions for network shows on Bravo than I have anything else. Now that you brought it up, I wouldn't be surprised if they are doing all of this to move content over to Peacock, which is still trying to find its footing. I mean we see how they moved DAYS over there to try and coax that audience to join the platform.
  20. Would that rich, new guy would've possibly been Whit McColl?
  21. See... Even that p*sses me off b/c do they just do that for BH or do they do that for all the shows? B/c my mind instantly goes back to how the women of ATL had to pay out of their OWN pockets to create promos for this past season. If the stars have to pay for promos then that's a major problem. And ATL's reunion had plenty of content. Apparently, it was on the cutting room floor. Production apparently decided to cut out the big exchange between Drew and Sanya where they almost got physical. At this point, I strongly believe Bravo is self-sabotaging themselves.
  22. Damn. It is sad that SLC premieres tomorrow and Bravo hasn't done anything to really promote the upcoming season. This just will confirm to the fandom that this upcoming season will probably end up being a dud with the exception of Jen's pending sentencing. Bravo needs to get it together and start promoting their shows like they used to. The only show this entire year I've seen them promote the hell out of has been the upcoming season of Potomac. I don't even think they promoted Dubai that great for their inaugural season. Bravo's marketing department needs to probably let some people go and head back to the drawing board where Bravo had glamorous promotions for all their shows.
