  1. This post gave me life! So true to everything. And you know you're wrong for that motorbike shade.
  2. Who was he trying to pitch the soap to? And I wish the bible was accessible too. I'm still pissed that I didn't save the Capitol story bible when I had a chance.
  3. You didn't like Josie?! I actually liked her until the end where they had her sleep with Cameron and becoming pregnant when Amanda and Gary were presumed dead. Oh and I keep forgetting about Reva/Phillip. Because that led to India giving Reva that epic read in the bathroom when she assumed Reva was trying to take Phillip and Kyle. I remember that clip from YT early on.
  4. Thanks. I remember him coming back sometime around Paul/Isabella's engagement and marriage. I didn't know he was there for a few months or that he dated Diane [again].
  5. Who did you want to slap in the face? Lily? I know for fact you wanna slap Courtney and my boo, Rosanna. I agree. I think that Marland's friend, Lemay, squashed the whole ingenue-type female on AW, hence why female characters like Rachel, Cecile, Blaine, Felicia, Vicky, Paulina, Donna, Lorna, Lila, Cindy, etc. excelled while saccharine women like Alice, Sally, Brett, Lisa, Sofia, etc. flopped. If you were not flawed on this show, you flopped. I can see the strong male characters that Long produced on GL [i.e. Billy, Josh, HB, Kyle, etc] but I am drawing blank on the friendships. On episodes from her era that that I've seen, I see friendships but again they were mediocre. Plus, her male/female friendships always had underlying feelings, like one party wanted to be with the other [i.e. Maureen/Fletcher OR Rick/Beth] and it wasn't just platonic [like Cass/Felicia, Ryan/Frankie].
  6. Didn't Paul's friend, Andy, end up with Faren. Didn't he [Andy] return in the early 00s for a few episodes? If so, did he mention if he's still with Faren? How did old school Y&R fans like the Faren story as a whole?
  7. But I think his writing would've been well for AW. Especially for a blue collar family like the Frames. IMO, he would've had a field day with Sharlene, John, and Josie on that farm. I think he would've had fun with Iris too. He would've probably mirrored her after Lucinda but it would've been better than what happened to Iris in the long haul--shooting Carl and being hauled off to prison never to heard from again. I think the only thing he might've struggled with was the friendship/hybrid family aspect of AW. While he had strong friendships at ATWT, they were mediocre [and much of daytime] to the strong friendly bonds AW displayed. He would've needed a strong co-head writer with history on the show to help him cipher through the waters, but once he found footing, I think he would've excelled. But I'm iffy about Pam Long. While I've enjoyed what I've seen of her writing, I don't know if she would've meshed well with AW. I know some posters have said that she did well at SFT but again, I don't know if she'd excel at AW. I think she would've did well with the Hudson [mainly Vicky] and Harrison clans, but flopped with the rest. Early 90s soap was heading back towards character driven stories [thanks to Bell, Nixon, Curlee, Malone, Labine, and Marland] and were straying from action packed stories [which were becoming a thing of tomorrow but would be revitalized thanks to Reilly in '94/95-ish] that Long excelled at.
  8. If they had moved Marland, I wish he would've went to Another World. I feel like he would've been the show's last hope. Marland is one of the few writers I think could've revitalized and stabilized the show. re: The episode I posted earlier: Carl, I noticed that kiss between Scott and Margo too. I found it to be odd but just tossed it to the side because of their closeness. But I loved how Scott blended in with the Hughes and accepted them as his surrogate family. He should've been brought back in later years to give Lisa and Tom story. I am actually enjoying Frannie's story--at least the affair part. I could care less about who killed Darryl's ex-wife. I like how it ricocheted and affected Susan and Larry's marriage too. Susan has been annoying in the episode being posted lately but I understand her insecurity. Plus, I am beginning to love Larry McDermott. Again, I hate that Pass-the-Salami's hack ass would make him into an egg-napper in later years. He seems like such a decent guy. IMO, his character should've remained a mainstay on the show and in the hospital. Did Ed Fry opt to leave or did they write him off? I know fans who were watching this in real time were sick of Marland drawing out the 'Holden is alive' bit. I am a bit by watching it now, but I am still endeared to the story because I know it'll lead to big payoffs--Julie and Lucinda's worlds being blown apart. Plus, I am glad that Seth is speaking his mind unlike many other characters. Most are either ignoring the situation or giving Caleb & Julie a pass. Maybe because I like the gentle soul that is Angel. Or at least of what I've seen of her. I love to hate Julie, which is odd because she'd go on to pass the crown as resident bad girl to all my favorite character, Carly.
  9. Magali would fit perfectly on BH & NY so well. BH more though b/c her and Vanderpump [and Gina of RHOMelbourne] would be such a joy. And I'm thinking that Ampika has Asian in her but IDK. Hopefully she discusses it more in future episodes because it is something I've been wondering about. I could see Tanya and Porsha being compared. Tanya talks about her marriage to her husband much like Porsha did in her first season. We'll see how long her marriage lasts. Men grow tired of trophies and aspire for newer models. Tanya is definitely giving me trophy wife vibes. Dawn, Leanne, and Lauren do too. Magali & Ampika's spouses are the only ones who spouses sincerely display unconditional love for them. I forgot to mention in my original post that I felt bad for Ampika's ex. You can still tell that he loves her and wants to be with her. I think he's handsome in an older man kind of way. He's not as hideous and old as I imagined him. If Ampika wants kids, she might as well boink her husband and have more kids. He did say he'd always be there for her and their son. Might as well have more kids with a man like him with no strings attached [with the exception of the wellbeing of the kids].
  10. Napping on it, you guys know who else should've been on this list? The Ferreiras. That whole family was so underrated.
  11. How long were Derek & Chase on the show? And wasn't Derek the one that raped or sexually assaulted The Bug?
  12. It was so refreshing to see a glamorous fashion show and for there to be actual story being built up around it. I miss this era. The BeLieF/Sheila Carter era was the best. Sheila was slaying in that dress. And Lauren is crazy. I would've need a drink after that quarrel with Sheila. I would've skipped the show. Eric would've been just fine. How she got pulled together and still went to the show boggles my mind. I'd be hauling ass back to Genoa City in fear that Sheila might come get me.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL8Lk7KN7Gg
  14. I'm glad Sharon is getting a little better too but I feel like she is nowhere near where she needs to be. Sharon should've clobbered Phil for having a part in Dennis' death. Instead, she overlooked it and married him. IDK how she's going to explain this to Denny when he learns the truth later on in life. But it would be pure poetic justice if Denny was the one to murder Phil in later years.
  15. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy on Bianca. She quickly became one of my least faves this last run. I hope she never returns to the Square.
  16. I'm glad they added Alan too. I just hate that we'll probably never see him again b/c his fate was sealed when Santer offed Billie. Glenda was another one I was happy to see on the list. I think they got rid of her too fast.
  17. Who me? And on that list? I thought the list had it right for the most part. I would've personally added Chelsea Fox b/c I enjoyed her while many didn't. It was refreshing to see a Black vixen on a soap, who gave her white female counterparts a run for their money. Especially drab ass Carly. She is desperately needed back IMO.
  18. I am so glad that they acknowledged Paul Trueman as being underrated b/c he was. I hate that they killed him offscreen and never brought him back. I felt he'd be a good sh*t-stirrer for the Square. Especially for Patrick, Denise, and Kim.
  19. You're not alone. I couldn't stand Charlie either. I always found him and Mo worthless. Neither of them knew how to reign in the Slater girls like a real matriarch and patriarch do.
  20. Yay at Cheap and DaytimeFan joining me in watching RHOCheshire! It is getting good and is somewhat refreshing from the American shows! #TeamMagali #TeamLauren #TeamAmpika Furthermore, I've exchanged Tweets with Magali numerous times and she has to be the nicest housewife on Twitter. She loves her fans so much. She's slowly becoming my favorite housewife of all time. RHOBH: Brandi is pure trash, but Kyle is stupid for not lying hands on her. I don't usually advocate violence on these shows but last night would've been the exception. Trying to drive a wedge between two sisters is a big "no-no." I would've slapped Brandi into next Tuesday. Lisa and Pandora broke my heart when they nearly broke down in the store. I can understand their apprehension for Max wanting to find his birth family. I know Lisa is scared but I don't see Max or any adopted child turning their back on adopted parents that raised and nurtured them well like Lisa did Max. I think Max finding his roots will finally put to bed some old demons and put him on track for the remainder of his life. Lisa, encourage this.... Eileen was an angel in helping Kim and Kyle, but you can only get so much established when you're dealing with a dope-headed dolt like Kim. I am glad that Lips is not afraid to call out Kim's illness. Finally, someone who is not allowing Kim to hold the show and cast hostage. I wish more people would call Kim out on her sh*t. Sadly, I think this is what is going to make her an instant target for Brandi and Kim in future weeks....
  21. RHOCheshire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QHni6S3DcM Ampika and Lauren won me over officially in this episode. How they bulldozed over Dawn.... I am so glad that more women are standing up to her and aren't fearful of her. Ampika spoke the truth when she said that Dawn is a woman that needs an entourage and without them she is weak. Magali continues to remain my favorite and I enjoyed her dragging Leanne. It's clear that Magali is sitting on something bigger than Leanne being a stripper and she can blow her spot up when ready. Like I said last week, I bet Magali has something on Leanne like she preyed on her husband and married him for a come up. Leanne seems like that kind of chick. Leanne is such a sow. I really wanted Magali to reach across the table and snuff her when Leanne was taunting her. Furthermore, I've noticed that Leanne [along with Tanya and Dawn] like to play the "Magali is aggressive" card. No offense but I've known and seen white people who play that card when they come across black people who are simply blunt. That sh*t unnerves me because it is like they are trying to perpetuate stereotypes on the low. What's even worse is that it's apparent that Leanne's husband is mixed with black ancestry. She so reminds me of Brandi on RHOBH that she loves black peen but is intimidated by black women. Ugh. Magali has never come off as aggressive. If anything, she's been the kindest person on the show. She's been restrained. Tanya is someone I am still trying to figure out. I teeter-totter between whether I like her or not. Upcoming episodes will tell. Seriously, I am over Dawn and her cooter. Like seriously. Girl, get the surgery and move on. Freeze your eggs and shut up. But I agree with Ampika and Lauren that Dawn does not need anymore kids. You're 40+ with 4 healthy kids. Raise them and be happy. But a part of me thinks that Dawn is hiding something and it's the reason why she is so adamant to have another child. Preferably a boy. Is her hubby stepping out and this is her way of trying to appease him, regain his attention and affection? Hmmm....
  22. Scheana was a drama queen for no reason last night. So much that I believed it was a front. Scheana is becoming so inauthentic that I need for this to be her last season. You've went from whore to housewife, so you've become full circle. Time for her to go. Stassi is another one that needs to say bid VP farewell. She no longer fits on the show. I've grown tired of her and her puppy dog, the irrelevant and thirsty Kristina.
