  1. Well, we know that she gossiped about at least two HWs -- clearly, she boasted that Gina's man, Dean, couldn't stop hitting on her. I, too, think that it was something malicious about Bruce and Chyka. That's so funny that you thought Bruce was gay! I think he is 100% straight Aussie metrosexual. Or let me rephrase that -- he is 100% Chyka-sexual, lol. I really believe in their love story, and think he is one of the best hubbies in all the RH franchises. Lydia's hubby though -- yeah, it crossed my mind. Definitely. ETA: Janet implied that Lydia said she had lots of affairs, too. Damn, Lydia is such a Lydiot. Well then it's a misread on my part. I do think that he genuine loves Chyka but something about him just makes me go.... Again, I am taking your word. Again, Lydia can't talk b/c she's bearding and it's obvious. Plus, I do believe that she gets around. I think she's projecting what she does on Janet. I know this reunion is gonna be a mess. The dynamics of this group are ever changing.
  2. Honestly, IDK why Mona brought on many of the characters she brought on. We don't need Tammy back as she didn't work the first time she was on. She was dud then and is now. We don't need D. Smith b/c it's obvious Mona did this bull for shock factor and attention. Mona needs to steer from social issues to focus on ratchet. She does a disservice to the transgender community. With D. Smith comes Betty Idol, who isn't needed either. Tommie and Tierra were good enough finds IMO. Plus, they should've brought Kaleena back.
  3. ATWT was ranking #2 regularly in the ratings behind Y&R in 92. Even during the 93-94 year ATWT ranked in the top 5 of soaps. P&G stop caring after Marland passed away. The writers still had the outlines for the next year but the stories were so boring and stale….they didn't have Marland vibe to them. But I think it was even before that. Weren't NBC allegedly going to cancel AW in the early 90s? I doubt P&G cared as they didn't care when it came to SEARCH and EON.
  4. @Cat, what do you think Lydia said? I've been hearing Lydia might've said something about Bruce, Chyka's husband, and that Chyka was his beard. If so, I find that totally hilarious as I've been thought (and said) that both women's husbands are fruiter than picnic baskets.
  5. P&G stop caring for their shows since the 90s, so they never cared to change regimes. They wanted to kill their shows off. With CM, I never got the impression that Rosanna was being written as Dixie. However, I did not like them making Rosanna poor and having her work in some damn countryside co-op farm outside of Peapack or whatever. Alexander Cabot was f-cking loaded. Ain't no way Rosanna's entire fortune was squandered like that. Most people would at least have some money tossed aside. I just thought it was so stupid how they came to write Rosanna. Much like Meg and Emily, Rosanna only became obsessed about Paul and producing babies. I missed the days when she was a scheming minx that was out to make Carly or anyone miserable.
  6. I don't remember hearing that but if it was said, that's gross. I wouldn't be surprised either. CG & JP threw out any ounce of history once placed by former writers.
  7. I'm OK with Tamwar going as no one has really invested in him. Not long enough. He'd have an arc but it was nothing that catapulted him to where I felt he should've been--the forefront. I do think that it is time for Zainab to return. Syed too. I wouldn't mind Shabnam returning too with a new actress or the original if they have to. I was thinking about the Kevin incident too but as you said, Phil killing these women's exes and then boinking them is all part of the game. I just don't know what sane writer would think this was cute either time. Especially, when both men were these ladies true loves. I would find it more interesting if Sharon and Denise banned together and killed Phil's ass. Not lusting after him.
  8. Do you think they are building up for Charity/Ross love story with Debbie returning as an interloper? That's what I've been getting since they tossed them into the same orbit upon Charity's return. I'm sure Cain will become more involved, which Holly will use to her advantage if all of this occurs. I don't care for Liv either but I figured she'd stay as they needed to build up their teen bunch. I'm sure she'll set her sights on Jacob soon enough, thus sending Gabi back into the rapist Lachlan orbit. I want Pierce to be for Harriet. I've grown to adore her and would love to see her in love. I think he'd be a nice beau for her. Hell, I wouldn't mind if he and Leyla got involved. I'm with you that I don't want Rhona to get involved with him. It's too expected. With Zak/Joanie/Lisa/Belle--I pity NONE of them. I'm over Lisa sobbing over Zak. I wish she'd just get out and date again or hurry up and put her and Zak back together. Hurry up and slap Rishi and Joanie together. And Belle.... I've never cared for Belle. She reminds me of Starr (of OLTL) too much. I just want her to go away.
  9. I don't think they ever dug deep in Brad's previous history. I think Carly and him had one spat and it was dropped. The next second, he was sniffing after Katie. I feel like after his part in Parker's paternity secret, he should've gotten heat from Margo (who loved Hal) when he was pursuing Katie. I don't even think she brought it up. I think if she did have any issue with Brad, which I can't remember, it had nothing to do with Parker's paternity. It was more of Jack playing interloper. I hate how they brought Dani back on and had her screwing Craig, which was gross. Yeah, I didn't wasn't around when Craig/Betsy/Steve took place but I heard the stories and read up on the history to know that Craig would've NEVER done that. He thought of her as his daughter for the longest and still had a connection to her afterwards. So icky for them not to acknowledge that. Also, did she even interact with Kim upon her return? I think they totally ignored that whole aspect and just referred to her as 'Emily's cousin,' which was wrong as she was Emily's niece. Plus, they totally never addressed her history on the show in the 90s.
  10. @DRW50 I don't think CM's Rosanna and AP's Brad did. I don't think they even interacted TBH. I think it would've been nice if this was addressed with Parker. What sucked about ATWT in the last 5 years on air is that people were so isolated and sectioned off in certain groups, people that had previous history rarely interacted.
  11. I hope it isn't an exit for Jay either but I don't see him coming from this story unscathed. Not after she sent him those texts of her in her skivvies earlier. When it comes to the Mitchell clan, I don't think we'll ever be rid of them unless Steve McFadden leaves and the young Mitchells leave the show to pursue other things. I think we are stuck with them for the long haul. I am surprised they remember Afia too. Honestly, I would've preferred Tamwar reunite with her as they were a more believable pairing. I've never believed Nancy and Tamwar. I just haven't. With Denise.... *sighs heavily* I am so pissed this is about to occur. So pissed.
  12. @DRW50 Please! No! Not my Denise! I swear TPTB hate her! They have to, to keep doing stuff like this to her. That aside, I am stunned that Linzi is actually underage, but why am I not surprised? I feel like this is just a set up so that it'll be acceptable down the road for Jay to pursue Louise, who they are grooming him for obviously. I just hope that those scantily clad texts don't come back to bite Jay and they peg him as some sexual offender. But this is EE, so.... I thought that Tamwar sulking over Nancy leaving for Italy was so stupid. It's like a 2hr plane ride if he chose not to go with her. I found it so stupid he'd even be mad given how depressed she's been as of late. Linda trying to keep her in Walford was sickening to me too. She should be glad that her daughter wants to go off and spread her wings. Why have her stick around when Mick (after supposedly forgiving her) is still acting strange? Sharon feeling upset over no longer being in the Mitchell fold was stupid too. She should be grateful and could still maintain a relationship with the boys w/o being in the fold/married to Phil. DTC does not get the essence of Sharon at all.
  13. RHOCheshire s3e3: Tonight was another good episode. I am loving how the scarecrow Leanne has finally grown a brain. She has finally broken free of Dawn's grip. However, I wonder why she is so quick to wanna jump on the Misse, Seema, Stacey ship? Is it b/c she finds more in common with them? I don't blame her if so, b/c I find Dawn to be a drag just watching her.... No offense but does Dawn actually think her daughter and her group is really gonna be pop sensation? I personally don't see it. Girl groups are a dime and dozen and none of them have popped in over a decade. Destiny's Child was the last huge girl group and no female group since has touched them in popularity. Not Little Mix. Not Fifth Harmony. No one. I think the fad has not come back and I don't see it coming for a long time. Not in the era where most artists can barely carry a tune. That aside, I do think that the girls sound decent. Dawn's apology to Misse was crap. It became crap when Leanne called her on it at the party. It's obvious that Dawn just apologized for getting caught and not for what she said. Plus, I also think in typical Dawn fashion, Dawn went to Misse to play nice b/c she needs allies. Much like in s01 when Ampika and Lauren flipped on her and she eagerly tried to recruit Magali by making up to her but to no avail. Again, I am just glad this season is unveiling to those who didn't see it before how manipulative and calculating that Dawn is, and she isn't even good at it. RHOD: I just can't get into this show. I can't! The excessive talk about feces is gross and not normal. Seriously, Bravo should've picked a better batch of women or picked another city. The Grosse Pointe district in NY, Chicago, Seattle....SOMETHING! I seriously think they should've just revived Miami and called it a day.
  14. Potomac is the epitome of posers fighting about nothing. But, its ratings were decent since it followed Atlanta so I guess it's here to stay although it's about as relevant as Miami was to the overall franchise. Hey, lay off Miami! Lea Black is always relevant!! Besides, Miami season 2 provided what was, IMO, the most entertaining 2 part episode in franchise history- Lisa's Lingerie Party!!! If nothing else, we got to see Big Brother Beau get tossed into a pool! In all seriousness, that party was EPIC! RHOM season 2 was one of the best housewife seasons of all time. I feel like Bravo really f-cked the show up when they cut Ana and Karent, and decided to focus heavily on Joanna and Adriana's weddings. IMO, all they needed to do was add Alexia back to the lineup and kept that cast of 8 women. Bravo always have a knack for pulling the trigger too soon.
  15. RHOMelbourne E9: Damn. That was a dramatic episode. All I can say is that I enjoyed Gina chin-checking Pettifleur and Gamble. Both of them needed to it. I do believe that Lydia talked sh-t about Chyka, Gina, and Janet, but I also believe that Jackie said some crap too. She is someone that I cannot wait to see downfall.
  16. OMG. The Potomac reunion was epic. Damn. I think their second season is gonna be epic.
  17. Kudos for Kenya! Now people can eat crow as Moore Manor has come to fruition. I cannot wait to see the entire final product.
  18. That's something about Sheffer I never understood. It's obvious he hated this genre and would down it, but in the same breath, he'd always express how he wanted to write for GH and YR b/c of characters like Sonny, Jason, and Victor. I hate when people feel like they are settling in this genre and just do it just because when there are hundreds of people that'd love to be writers on these shows and would be better at it. I agree with your last statement but they should've started the vet presence long before. I would've loved for Casey to have reunited with Alison. Alison ... I would've preferred her to end alone and focus on her career. I wouldn't want her with Aaron b/c she treated him dirty the last time Aaron was on the show. Don't you mean Maddie? I remember how awful Alison was to Aaron, she must've forgotten how much he meant to her. I still can't forget how they wasted Agim Kaba and how they let go Dylan Bruce, who was a good Chris recast Yeah I meant Maddie. I hate how they wasted Agim and Dylan too. I also hate how they recast Chris with Daniel Cosgrove. It was like watching Bill Lewis but in Oakdale and I hated it. Plus, I hate how Chris got saddled with Katie in the end. She's another character that should've ended alone, so she can find herself. I hate how they did this anchor her officially into the Hughes clan. Just ugh!
  19. That's something about Sheffer I never understood. 20. The show lost interest in the Hughes family long before Goutman or Passanante. The only difference was that Goutman/Sheffer stopped giving Margo and Tom stories, but their stories had been so consistently poor in the late '90s it wasn't a big loss. Very true. Marland was the last one that was fully invested in the Hughes; however, I can say that when I watched in the 90s as a child, we still felt the presence of vets on this show. The Hughes were thrown dog bones occasionally. I think that the church fire/Kim's near death was some great material and showed why Kathy Hays and Don Hastings still had IT. I personally don't get why people wouldn't want to write for characters like them. I'd have more fun writing the Nancy, Bob, Kim, Lucinda, Lisa, John, Emma type characters--characters who have lived and have long histories over a Lily or Holden.
  21. Goutman and Passanante should've been fired, though it looked obvious that PGP didn't care anymore about either ATWT and GL. I was checking about the archives and was Roerig's Casey as well as Will, Gwen and Maddie really that disliked? I kind of got why since they (mostly Gwen and Will were on a lot). It's funny considering how people cast nowadays, I'd love to see another Chando, Landon, Soffer and Roerig again instead of what we currently see I didn't dislike them. I disliked their stories if anything. I enjoyed Gwen when she first came on. She reminded me of early Carly somewhat but then she became whiny and was stricken with 'baby fever,' and I was glad when she got Eliza (her brother Cole's baby with Sofie Duran) and she left town. I always liked Will but hated him with Gwen during her baby fever stint. I was hoping he'd leave her ass for the much more fun, Jade. I always liked Casey (Roerig and Magnussen versions) and Maddie (Chando). I just didn't like Maddie falling for Noah, who knew he was gay, and I didn't care for Casey/Allison. The young adults in the last 5-6 years weren't bad. They all just had horrible stories, which always had the same elements: affairs or who's the daddy. I hate how isolated they were and how they didn't really have career ambitions (minus Luke and Allison). It would've been interesting to see them do more than what they were given. This is the same issue I have with young folks on the remaining four soaps too.
  22. Well it's obvious when it comes to Goutman and Passanantate that they didn't care for the Hughes clan with the exception of Casey. They basically got tossed to the side for the Snyder clan, Paul, Dusty, the Stewart sisters, and endless newbies. Part of me hates it b/c the Hughes were misused but then I am glad. I am glad that they didn't bring back any Hughes character for a 4 week arc (as that's what they did in the final era) to be a damn serial killer, rapist, or villain of the month. I still get pissed over how Nancy's funeral was handled and how the episode was more about Katie than it was Nancy. I would've loved for them to have an episode just centered around the Hughes and them bringing back the likes of Penny, Don, Frannie, Sabrina, Ellen, etc. People who actually interacted with Nancy. I know that Katie has a relationship with Nancy but I never bought it. Nancy was always used to prop Katie, and it annoyed me to no end. I do think that they squandered Stuart Damon's stint on the show as I thought he'd've been a great Don recast and someone for Lisa.
