Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOCheshire s3e3: Tonight was another good episode. I am loving how the scarecrow Leanne has finally grown a brain. She has finally broken free of Dawn's grip. However, I wonder why she is so quick to wanna jump on the Misse, Seema, Stacey ship? Is it b/c she finds more in common with them? I don't blame her if so, b/c I find Dawn to be a drag just watching her.... No offense but does Dawn actually think her daughter and her group is really gonna be pop sensation? I personally don't see it. Girl groups are a dime and dozen and none of them have popped in over a decade. Destiny's Child was the last huge girl group and no female group since has touched them in popularity. Not Little Mix. Not Fifth Harmony. No one. I think the fad has not come back and I don't see it coming for a long time. Not in the era where most artists can barely carry a tune. That aside, I do think that the girls sound decent. Dawn's apology to Misse was crap. It became crap when Leanne called her on it at the party. It's obvious that Dawn just apologized for getting caught and not for what she said. Plus, I also think in typical Dawn fashion, Dawn went to Misse to play nice b/c she needs allies. Much like in s01 when Ampika and Lauren flipped on her and she eagerly tried to recruit Magali by making up to her but to no avail. Again, I am just glad this season is unveiling to those who didn't see it before how manipulative and calculating that Dawn is, and she isn't even good at it. RHOD: I just can't get into this show. I can't! The excessive talk about feces is gross and not normal. Seriously, Bravo should've picked a better batch of women or picked another city. The Grosse Pointe district in NY, Chicago, Seattle....SOMETHING! I seriously think they should've just revived Miami and called it a day.

Potomac is the epitome of posers fighting about nothing. But, its ratings were decent since it followed Atlanta so I guess it's here to stay although it's about as relevant as Miami was to the overall franchise. Hey, lay off Miami! Lea Black is always relevant!! Besides, Miami season 2 provided what was, IMO, the most entertaining 2 part episode in franchise history- Lisa's Lingerie Party!!! If nothing else, we got to see Big Brother Beau get tossed into a pool! In all seriousness, that party was EPIC! RHOM season 2 was one of the best housewife seasons of all time. I feel like Bravo really f-cked the show up when they cut Ana and Karent, and decided to focus heavily on Joanna and Adriana's weddings. IMO, all they needed to do was add Alexia back to the lineup and kept that cast of 8 women. Bravo always have a knack for pulling the trigger too soon.

RHOMelbourne E9: Damn. That was a dramatic episode. All I can say is that I enjoyed Gina chin-checking Pettifleur and Gamble. Both of them needed to it. I do believe that Lydia talked sh-t about Chyka, Gina, and Janet, but I also believe that Jackie said some crap too. She is someone that I cannot wait to see downfall.

That's something about Sheffer I never understood. It's obvious he hated this genre and would down it, but in the same breath, he'd always express how he wanted to write for GH and YR b/c of characters like Sonny, Jason, and Victor. I hate when people feel like they are settling in this genre and just do it just because when there are hundreds of people that'd love to be writers on these shows and would be better at it. I agree with your last statement but they should've started the vet presence long before. I would've loved for Casey to have reunited with Alison. Alison ... I would've preferred her to end alone and focus on her career. I wouldn't want her with Aaron b/c she treated him dirty the last time Aaron was on the show. Don't you mean Maddie? I remember how awful Alison was to Aaron, she must've forgotten how much he meant to her. I still can't forget how they wasted Agim Kaba and how they let go Dylan Bruce, who was a good Chris recast Yeah I meant Maddie. I hate how they wasted Agim and Dylan too. I also hate how they recast Chris with Daniel Cosgrove. It was like watching Bill Lewis but in Oakdale and I hated it. Plus, I hate how Chris got saddled with Katie in the end. She's another character that should've ended alone, so she can find herself. I hate how they did this anchor her officially into the Hughes clan. Just ugh!

The show lost interest in the Hughes family long before Goutman or Passanante. The only difference was that Goutman/Sheffer stopped giving Margo and Tom stories, but their stories had been so consistently poor in the late '90s it wasn't a big loss. Very true. Marland was the last one that was fully invested in the Hughes; however, I can say that when I watched in the 90s as a child, we still felt the presence of vets on this show. The Hughes were thrown dog bones occasionally. I think that the church fire/Kim's near death was some great material and showed why Kathy Hays and Don Hastings still had IT. I personally don't get why people wouldn't want to write for characters like them. I'd have more fun writing the Nancy, Bob, Kim, Lucinda, Lisa, John, Emma type characters--characters who have lived and have long histories over a Lily or Holden.

Goutman and Passanante should've been fired, though it looked obvious that PGP didn't care anymore about either ATWT and GL. I was checking about the archives and was Roerig's Casey as well as Will, Gwen and Maddie really that disliked? I kind of got why since they (mostly Gwen and Will were on a lot). It's funny considering how people cast nowadays, I'd love to see another Chando, Landon, Soffer and Roerig again instead of what we currently see I didn't dislike them. I disliked their stories if anything. I enjoyed Gwen when she first came on. She reminded me of early Carly somewhat but then she became whiny and was stricken with 'baby fever,' and I was glad when she got Eliza (her brother Cole's baby with Sofie Duran) and she left town. I always liked Will but hated him with Gwen during her baby fever stint. I was hoping he'd leave her ass for the much more fun, Jade. I always liked Casey (Roerig and Magnussen versions) and Maddie (Chando). I just didn't like Maddie falling for Noah, who knew he was gay, and I didn't care for Casey/Allison. The young adults in the last 5-6 years weren't bad. They all just had horrible stories, which always had the same elements: affairs or who's the daddy. I hate how isolated they were and how they didn't really have career ambitions (minus Luke and Allison). It would've been interesting to see them do more than what they were given. This is the same issue I have with young folks on the remaining four soaps too.

Well it's obvious when it comes to Goutman and Passanantate that they didn't care for the Hughes clan with the exception of Casey. They basically got tossed to the side for the Snyder clan, Paul, Dusty, the Stewart sisters, and endless newbies. Part of me hates it b/c the Hughes were misused but then I am glad. I am glad that they didn't bring back any Hughes character for a 4 week arc (as that's what they did in the final era) to be a damn serial killer, rapist, or villain of the month. I still get pissed over how Nancy's funeral was handled and how the episode was more about Katie than it was Nancy. I would've loved for them to have an episode just centered around the Hughes and them bringing back the likes of Penny, Don, Frannie, Sabrina, Ellen, etc. People who actually interacted with Nancy. I know that Katie has a relationship with Nancy but I never bought it. Nancy was always used to prop Katie, and it annoyed me to no end. I do think that they squandered Stuart Damon's stint on the show as I thought he'd've been a great Don recast and someone for Lisa.

So wait? Saint Johnny takes the family out for swimming and that gets Mick to finally forgive Nancy? Such bull. I still say it would've been more honest and real for Nancy to leave the Square giving Mick the finger and leaving issues resolved. But of course DTC wouldn't allow that to happen with his precious Carters. They have to be the perfect family unit on this show. Tonight reminded me too how much Ian's presence on the show has been decreased. Even though Kathy and Martin are back, the Fowler/Beale clan is basically nothing. Nonexistent. They are just like the Bauers were on the last decade of GL--just unimportant. Ben and Paul's date was the only interesting thing. I did find it cute that Ben doesn't know how to date and take things slowly. It also shows he is a typical Mitchell as everything is all about sex, which was the only concept he seemed to grasp about dating. Glad that Paul is making him work for it.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh please. I believe Mohamed said it. That's why he's pissed. I doubt Lisa gives a damn.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sneak peek of Sunday's part 2 of RHOP. Gizelle snatches up Katie with the quickness:- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I am glad that Kyle's secret is out, so the character can finally assimilate into the Square and do other things. But why make Jean a bigot in the process? I didn't like that and didn't find it necessary. I think her hating Kyle b/c he was a child of an affair was enough. Having Jean call Kyle a freak was too much. It borderline makes me wish that she would've ran into the street and got hit by a car. I agree that Belinda is a ray of sunshine that needs to stay long-term. God knows this show needs a tart with some hart, which Kat used to be. I think Belinda can easily fill that void. Paul and Ben's scenes were but I (too) don't see them lasting long. Same with Jay and Linzi. I feel like that relationship will hit the skids thanks to Louise somehow. Johnny putting Mick in his place was the only joy from the Carter scenes. I just didn't care about Johnny learning the truth or the stupid family photo, which I found to be farce. I hate how DTC tries to play like this family is so damn close when they aren't. Ever since this family darkened our screens, they've been a fractured mess.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Not shocked that Rinna has snapped. I see it only getting worse come reunion time. Vanderpump and Kyle fans are gonna drive her bananas. Same with Eileen too. I am also glad that this season is over. I am over HW shows focusing on ailments. The sh-t didn't work on OC. It ain't working on BH. If any other show was smart, they'd just not go there. With Erika, she'll get hers in due time. People like her b/c she still has that 'new car smell' to her. She'll have her downfall come next season too. It's written all over her and it'll be epic. At this point, I want Vanderpump to pull a Nene and let these broads have this show until midway into the next season where she returns rejuvenated and ready to reclaim her spot at the queen bee. I want Brandi and Kim to return so they can turn on the likes of Yolanda and Erika while still showing disdain for Rinna and Eileen. Just let them six broads annihilate each other while Kyle and Kathryn can sit back pretty and just wait for LVP to return.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You mean Sports None? Thanks! I am so over Erika and her 'pat the puss' dance. I wish Andy would stop trying to make her happen. I see YoLyme is gonna play the victim card.- Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
Maybe this story would've been more receptive to me if it was Todd rather than Maria.- Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
Really? It's 2016 and we're still doing the marry the gay man for a green card story? Even though the scenes with Luke, Steph, Maria, Pablo, and Kirk were cute and funny, I just think this whole story is dumb. I could've understood if Pablo was a refugee from Syria or something but Argentina? Last time I checked (and someone correct me if I am wrong), Argentina is not some war zone. I'm sure Pablo could've gotten citizenship with ease.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
That was odd how Ben gave her a swirly but she ran out and sat down over by Phil after her head had been in a toilet. That was the oddest sh-t ever....- GH: Classic Thread
