  1. OC After seeing this episode, I'm convinced Vicki has something big on Shannon. Shannon fell into line and decided to "have fun and be civil and not be BFFs" with Vicki awfully quickly once word got around, courtesy of Kelly's big mouth and flared gossipy eyes, that Vicki has something on Shannon. Tamra and Heather can pretend they don't want to know, but I'm sure they're salivating. The 'organic mattress' scene was nauseating. Shannon easily looks the most haggard compared to the rest of the women (though she has the best, real, jewelry) - her organic lifestyle is failing her. Kelly's marriage is obviously built on a shaky foundation. However, they do at least talk about what's bothering them and Vicki made the good point that she bailed on her marriage with Donn and the she did it all wrong. Tamra's chest looks terrible now that she's lost so much weigh with her weight lifting - you can see where her implants stretch against the skin. She really needs to put back on 15 lbs. Vicki's new guy looks nice and normal. Let's hope the best for this one. Vicki needs someone decent. The Ireland trip had the most scripted setup we've seen in recent memory ("You're ancestry is Irish?! Let's go to Ireland!"...no wonder Heather's acting career stalled, that was just dreadful).
  2. If the British papers are to be believed, the producers of this remake have Dame Joan in their sights to join...obviously to have anyone else play Alexis would be ridiculous and career suicide for whoever takes it on (because they will fail)...but perhaps they'll rejig things with Alexis somehow related (or just as Cecil's widow)...ultimately if this show doesn't have Dame Joan in it they can kiss any support for it goodbye.
  3. It doesn't sound like Dame Joan would be involved. Thus, I hope it crashes and burns. If, however, the Shapiros get their heads out of their ass and get Dame Joan signed to a contract paying her serious money I hope it works.
  4. That was cute. It goes to show they haven't lost a beat of their old chemistry.
  5. I loved this show up until Harry Connick Jr came and ruined it - so I am all aboard a revival or reunion.
  6. Auckland I was appalled this episode. There is no coming back from this. Julia tried to make herself out to be a victim and that just fell flat and ridiculous. There is no justification or excuse for the use of a racist slur like she said. Michelle handled herself incredibly graciously. And I loved her hurling the champagne (and later the glass) - that was soap diva fabulous. Anne was hilarious with her talking head interviews. Louise called how badly this was for Julia. Angela was a good opportunist preying on Julia being ostracized so deservedly.
  7. *Snaps* Couldn't have said it better myself.
  8. NYC Reunion Part 3 was by far the most civil and it really seemed like Andy wanted to wrap things up nicely. I felt for Sonja - she tried to take the high road with Bethenny's attack on her and Dorinda called her delusional. That was unfair. Sonja is a basically nice person who can own up to her crap. She looked beautiful at the reunion - a gorgeous Sonja Morgan New York dress - and clear headed and quick witted. LuAnn redeemed herself by repeating, over and over, that Tom seriously screwed up and that she was heartbroken. She stopped pretending it didn't happen and that she's fine with it. That's good. Bethenny was unhinged as always. Carole was irrelevant as all hell. She needs to GO. The rest of the cast was magnificent and needs to return next year. Cheshire It was sort of a blah episode since it focused on Stacey so much. Misse can go - she's a hack. Lauren needs to be better at covering her tracks if she's going to be messy like that. But stupid Misse didn't catch her, so maybe not! Glad that Ampika and Tanya got over their non feud Aukland This series is a gem. Angela is certifiable. She is so fake, so weird, so off. And she acts like she's a real somebody. Her poor assistant. I love that Anne speaks French to her on the sly. I LOVED that scene of Anne and her nephew. That was so cute. I have really warmed up to Anne. I also warmed up to Michelle and Glinda this episode. Finally, Glinda loosened up a little bit. Julia made an ass of herself with room selection (she should learn from NYC's Ramona) and that seems to be the trend with Julia. She's a try hard and it just doesn't work. Love Louise. I am part of that tribe.
  9. OC I can't even go into how disgusting I think Meghan and Shannon and David and Jim are. What they all said about Vicki and the way those two bitches tried to cover their asses by seeing Vicki was transparent and pathetic. They are evil. I am so glad Heather went full sanctimonious on them and that Tamra is going to cannibalize Meghan. Trying to throw Tamra under the bus when it was clearly an accident was just disgusting. David had an affair because he's a terrible person, but I'm glad Shannon has to deal with the mother in law from hell. She deserves it.
  10. The comedienne Amy Phillips did an incredible imitation of LuAnn for Bravo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch6Hgl3JgOk
  11. I want the new Ladies of London season now! I had read that Caroline had moved to Dubai and had rented out her home and took a much smaller apartment in London. It'll be interesting to see how Marissa's businesses have done. I believe Annabelle quit the show.
  12. I see it very clearly with Meghan. To me there is a real difference between Housewife Life and Real Life. Vicki tried to get along and build bridges with Meghan and Meghan rolled into the Merv Griffin estate to sit by the pool and enjoy drunk Vicki - they're not even enemies by this point. That's Housewife Life. Real Life is what happened with Vicki going to the hospital without any next of kin. It is despicable that Meghan couldn't bring herself to drive 45 minutes to the hospital just so Vicki had a familiar face there who wasn't crew. I would do that for someone I didn't like because that's a Real Life emergency. Meghan's tone on the telephone said it all - she's a stupid, selfish, immature little bitch who couldn't admit that Vicki is a human being and that, in a moment of crisis, she should have stepped up and been there. I hope Heather gets as sanctimonious as she can and brings down the hammer on Meghan and Shannon. Despite all the crap these women throw at each other, they are also members of an exclusive Housewives club and they should realize that when the chips are down they should be there for each other, based on simple human decency.
  13. I'm not coming for you when I say you're mistaken. Based on comparing Potomac Season 1 to the latest/current (and in the case of DC and Miami last) season of each American franchise, here is how they all averaged: Atlanta: 2.852 (million) OC: 1.798 Beverly Hills: 1.760 Potomac: 1.621 New York: 1.506 New Jersey: 1.455 DC: 1.403 Miami: 1.02 Dallas: 892,364 Potomac is by no means a failure, it's exactly the middle - but it did not outperform OC and Beverly Hills and was nowhere near clinching #2 most watched. Troublingly, Potomac started really strong (over 2 million viewers) but by the time it ended it had really faded (1.39 million). The colossal failure is Dallas as it only cracked a million viewers for its premiere episode and fell afterwards.
  14. NYC Bethenny is a terrible person. She's evil, entitled, and mentally warped. When she screamed "I can do whatever I want!" it said it all about her. "I'm single now, now maybe I'm going to get to date Tom" - Jules was hilarious. She battled Bethenny and Carole admirably. It's probably for the best that she isn't returning. She had a good season and acquitted herself nicely. Dorinda defended herself nicely and I really like her. She is a good person with common sense with the "listen to all of this and take pause!" Sonja kept herself serene for the first two parts of the reunion. That changes next week...but I think she is a delight to watch and was great value for the season. She has been admirably sensitive to LuAnn with how she's dealt with the Tom issue. Ramona's honest statement to LuAnn about the red flags with Tom demonstrated her best qualities. And then she blew LuAnn out of the water with that Radar Online article that LuAnn conveniently forgot she'd told her about. LuAnn isn't coming off well in this reunion defending Tom. She should have dumped him and kept on being fabulous. There is zero reason why Sonja would lie about the number of times she slept with Tom and the nature of their relationship. Sonja never tried to hurt LuAnn, so LuAnn's callousness to her never made sense. However, LuAnn slaughtered irrelevant Carole yet again with "What are you babbling about again?"
  15. Aukland Angela gets stranger and stranger as the series goes on. Her French assistant looks like she's been captured by Angela and is being held against her will. I really enjoyed Anne this episode, especially with how she asked the assistant if she as okay - in French. Michelle and Angela's little squabble highlighted that Michelle isn't that great at arguing when she's been caught out with a negative statement like the one she made about Angela sucking in her stomach. She couldn't defend herself at all because it isn't a defensible statement. And she floundered. Julia vs. Louise is hilarious because Louise is going to slaughter Julia every single time. And Julia knows it. She is so stupid and sloppy and ill equipped to deal with someone of Louise's intelligence. Gilda remains totally humourless. Cheshire The Ampika/Tanya feud is beyond stupid. These two never should have had a feud in the first place and the feud is entirely Tanya's fault. She continues to be too stupid for words. I love that Mark didn't shy away from her offer of a facelift - it'll help him tremendously. Dawn doesn't bother me at all and I find it interesting that so many of the women (especially that pointless Stacey) find it necessary to have disagreements with her. Stacey annoys the hell out of me. Seema and Misse did nothing this episode. So not much change from last season. Leanne seems calm and serene. Her new house isn't as nice as her old one. Lauren is BACK. Love her. Shame about the divorce. But she remains fun and fabulous.
  16. You've got that right. Kelly is really off. She isn't 100% likeable. I'd hate to deal with her in real life (whereas Heather Dubrow, while high strung and snippy and snobby on the show, is someone I'd enjoy in real life because of her sense of manners and proper behaviour). But on the show, Kelly just flies because she's gone after Shannon and hasn't minded taking swings at Tamra and Heather along the way - all of whom have had it coming since their tangles with Vicki. The less said about the Beadors, the better...Shannon mustn't have much self respect for staying with his cheating ass. The same goes for NYC's LuAnn (much as I enjoy LuAnn, and she rocked this season, she should be leaving Tom and keeping the ring). The difference is David Beador is much worse than Tom: he cheated on his wife of 15 years and the mother of his three children.
  17. Yes, she is TERRIBLE. I give the Melbourne housewives credit for the patience they've extended to her. She seems really mentally off.
  18. The NYC reunion got off to an explosive start. Dorinda is all over her social media trying to throw Sonja under the bus. She should have just owned that she's done cocaine. Who doesn't think she's been high on camera? Who doesn't think every last one of those women hasn't been high on camera at least once? Sonja was hilarious with the "I trademarked it!" in response to Bethenny's 'Slutty Girl' brand idea. Sonja was clear headed and focused this season. They can try and call her delusional all they want but what did she say this season that seemed delusional? There was no talk of Nigerian football teams or smokey eye, updo, Gstaad! They can try and freeze her out but Sonja's honest hurt about LuAnn and Tom and her struggle to get past her bankruptcy and divorce is, for me, compelling to watch. Sonja is a survivor. She still has her sense of humour. I admire that tremendously. Bethenny is truly unhinged. That call to the married man's "daughter" was a joke. That was as premeditated as hell. How would the daughter (or was it one of her interns?) know where her father has been laying his head at night? And why would she want a "time stamp" of calling the married man's wife to say she was on a platonic dinner with him? Bitch, please. Jules looked spectacular. She either gained a few pounds or got some truly miraculous fillers done. She looked beautiful. I think Bethenny is going to dig herself into an ugly hole with the comment that Jules was angling for a divorce when she started on the show. Of any housewife, Jules appeared totally blindsided. LuAnn is ready for a fight. She made her point with Bethenny (which Bethenny deflected poorly against by slut shaming LuAnn yet again and then attempting to excuse her crap by saying she didn't know the definition of slut shaming) and she dismissed Carole like the irrelevance that she is. Obviously, LuAnn sticking with Tom is a mistake, she's better than a cheater, and that's a reflection on how desperate she is. But LuAnn is who she is and anyone who calls her a hypocrite isn't watching the same show I am. Ramona is so fun and relaxed. The montage of her dancing reminded me of Elaine on Seinfeld. This was Ramona's best season. Divorce suits her.
  19. She chose not to return. Simple as that, really. She keeps up with Lauren. Magali has actually said recently she'd return; however, a certain co-star (most likely Dawn) is blocking a return. She'll still close with Ampika too. Where did she say that? I enjoyed Magali a lot. She took a risk by leaving for that season. Obviously she's superior to the three it took to attempt to replace her.
  20. Again, where the f-ck is Magali?! She chose not to return. Simple as that, really. She keeps up with Lauren.
  21. Aukland Julia is such a bitch. I thought taking Michelle around Anne's house was so rude and awful. That was such a gross invasion of her privacy. Julia was right that Michelle did a poor job modelling. An aside on the Vampire treatment Julia had: it takes months for results to show. It enhances the quality of the skin which, for the neck, is a good investment. Michelle is 3/3 episodes with making nasty body shaming comments. It's a bad look on her. She also seems to enjoy injecting herself into drama. Also not a good look. Louise is a smooth operator. She dug herself out of her hole with Gilda by carefully recounting exactly what happened. So she told the truth. Good for her. Anne is just like Jody Clamant from RHOV, except not evil (yet!)...I couldn't give a flying fig about her love of cats, can't stand them myself. Gilda is humourless. I still don't enjoy her one little bit. Angela is truly delusional. It was so pathetic to watch her assistant drive up the bidding. I would not compare them to Melbourne's Lydia and her house keeper Joanna...Lydia is truly heinous to Joanna.
  22. Real Housewives of Cheshire is back September 5th! http://www.itv.com/presscentre/ep1week36/real-housewives-cheshire
  23. I loved this season, last season and the Scary Island season (season 3) the most. And I totally agree with @KeMoLove and @Chris B about Sonja. She is a delight and adds a lot to this show that goes unappreciated. She is fun and sensitive and resilient. Yes, she also has her delusions but this season she was sober as a judge and not one other of those women could make the same claim. I hope Andy and the execs at Bravo get out their chequebook for the whole NYC cast. They've earned it. They deserve a raise.
  24. "How could you do this to me. Question mark." - LuAnn Honestly, she should have a t shirt made with that line. I would buy it. The finale was not as satisfying as I had hoped it would be. I was disappointed for LuAnn that she stayed with Tom after he obviously cheated on her. I understand that she's trying to look at the situation as a blip, as a sophisticated woman of the world would, but she deserves better than a guy who'd look another direction when she's in the room. Obviously, just based off of the "previously this season..." summary it is evident that the whole season was based on LuAnn. She made it happen. Ramona redeemed herself to me for that reason. She seemed disappointed for LuAnn as well and said a few times that LuAnn deserves better. I think, after all these years, these two have a level of respect for each other. Sonja was the most realistic about the situation in its entirety. She reminds me of Goldie Hawn's character in the First Wives Club - she gets her best ideas when she's working out and sober. Otherwise she's a bit desperate and daffy. I think Sonja injected so much humour this season. Dorinda is fun and I like her and her comments about being a sh*t stirrer amused me to no end. She's a decent soul and I doubt she'd hurt a fly. She just slurs like crazy when she drinks but I'm glad she's on the show. Carole and Jules were non entities. Bethenny's tears rang very hollow to me. I don't believe them. I don't believe her intentions were selfless. She had SkinnyGirl showcased for maximum effect, so job well done to her.
  25. Aukland - I love a two episode premiere. I am softening to Michelle because she tried to repair things before they became a problem and she knew she didn't handle the first lunch well. I do not, however, like her discussion of body shape. She's done it 2/2 episodes. I can't fault her for being realistic about the fashion industry but it isn't healthy for a 12 year old girl. She does have a sense of humour which helps. Angela blew it and I'll never like her or pity her. She is nuts. She's desperate and a loser and her thirst for Gilda is real. I HATED the way she was discussing the gossip about Gilda with Louise and Julia. That is a basic bitch if there ever was one. The victim act fools no one. How does she not understand that giving unsolicited style advice is offensive. That healing session was ludicrous and bizarre. Louise is right that Angela is always trying to build a good impression and never herself. Angela throwing Louise under the bus was a poor attempt. Gilda is very strong and very decisive and I respect that. She has probably lived through a lot with her childhood in Iran. A 47 year age gap is, of course, going to attract the age difference. However, her marriage lasting 15 years is nothing to sniff at. She annihilated Angela who had it coming, big time. All that said, I don't like Gilda. She is too cold, too icy and too controlled. No warmth or humour seems to exude from her. I love Louise. I get her. I'm part of her tribe. Julia is a traitorous bitch. Ann's skin is like a dried prune around her mouth. I wonder how old she is...I do give her credit for attempting to get to know Michelle and Gilda. She does seem to have a sense of humour.
