Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I found it fascinating...but easily disputable. TT definitely has a strong take on everything she writes about and the one downside of her site is that she runs it with an iron fist. If people don't agree with her then they are immediately called a litany of unflattering names that belittle their logic and bolster hers. I think she underestimates Kyle's role in a lot of things and gives LVP and LemonLyme too much credit for themselves. I also think she misjudges season 1 - LVP was the breakout star from the first episode, she was never grasping to be the centre of attention: she was always the focal point. She also misjudges LVP moving houses - TT says LVP needed to move into a "better house" - yet LVP's current home is substantially less expensive and smaller than her old house and not in a gated community. Finally, she definitely seems sympathetic to Dim Richards when it isn't warranted. I thought the article was interesting as well but I have the exact same issues that you have not only with the site but her opinions. You literally can not have a differing opinion than her without the insults that follow because she disagrees. Yes the first season was mainly about Kyle vs. Camille but LVP was undoubtedly the break out star. I also remember thinking LVP's new house is smaller than the last, I think Vanderpump actually stated as much. TT is a bright lady and enjoy her site very much. I thought this was a good analysis with a lot of salient points. However, I would agree with you both on the tendency to belittle other opinions (I guess it's her site so she can do what she wants), and especially with your differing analyses regarding Season 1. I remeber before I had seen S1, DaytimeFan on this very thread urging me to watch it because Lisa Vanderpump was so fabulous in it. I definitely think that Production and Kyle probably had in mind before the show started that it might be centered around her as 'central heroine,' but very quickly LVP and Camille were the HWs that the audience couldn't get enough of watching. Kyle had that Smugness Factor (and outing her sister's alcoholism did not look good on her), and Camille was just... wow, lol. So LVP ended up being the HW much of the audience warmed to. Even Andy Cohen said that as soon as they found LVP, Bravo knew they had found the show's lynchpin character. Just talking about this made me realize what an awesome jewel Season 1 was. Sigh. In Andy's book Most Talkative he said that the production company and Bravo worked like crazy to convince LVP to sign on and that when she agreed they knew the show was set and that they "had found [their] Joan Collins"...now that has to irk Kyle, as many of us have always suspected that despite her role in the casting of the show (and as Camille said, Kyle has profit participation in the show...) she's never, ever, been the star of it. Despite TT's analysis that everything boils down to LVP vs. Yolanda, I think Kyle's role in the evolution (and devolution) of the show has mattered an awful lot as well. Absolutely. The backlash that Kyle got after S2 Reunion (when she and Adrienne decided to 'take down' LVP and she served up the "Bobby Fischer" comment) was real. All the seasons following that have been an attempt to make Poor Kyle appear the victim of LVP's unforgiving ways... or of Kim's crazy... or of Brandi's ratchetness. I assume to rebuild her rep with the viewing audience. Eventually, last season, Kyle got back on-side with both LVP and many viewers. TT never addressed that S2 Reunion in her blog piece when IMO it was a huge turning point. It solidified Brandi's S3 presence on the show, and it ushered out Taylor, Camille and, eventually, Adrienne, requiring new sets of HWs (including Yolanda) to come on the show. Yes - that reunion was ugly and it set the course for the ouster of Adrienne and Taylor. Adrienne slit her wrists with LVP (that lunch of theirs will go down as memorable in its awkwardness as Adrienne flailed like a dead fish before The Queen). Kyle got her first taste of backlash and she seems to have been acutely aware of it since, always trying to avoid being the one to visibly antagonize anyone.

LVP's old house sold for $19 million and was 17,000 square feet while her current house was purchased for $10 million and is 8,800 square feet - half the price and half the size, so TT misjudged that one.

I'm sure it hurts to end a 20 year friendship - but it may also be a welcome relief to LVP because it seemed to be the source of a lot of personal turmoil. Give LVP 10 years - she won't be living in California full time. She will go back to England.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That is insane! Wow. Rinna has lost the plot with this one - talk about biting the hand that feeds you - the public makes or breaks someone like her with a relatively vulnerable career and public image and QVC line to sell and promote. However, I hope this gains traction and she pays for this latest outburst. She has gotten away with her mouth and lashing out on social media way too much, all in the name of "truth" and owning it. She's the one whose about to get owned.

LOL..they just put it on the market last month http://m.longandfoster.com/Property/PropertyLessDetails?9-potomac-school-ct-potomac-md-20854&mlsnumber=mc8588838&mlscompanyid=2&partnerName=google Good god - it was built in 1995 and hasn't been touched since. That house is as tired as Karen's weave.

Potomac Reunion 1 They're all fake bitches except for Ashley. And if Karen has a $10,000/month mortgage on her home then it's plain and obvious her husband isn't the "black Bill Gates" - he pays cash for his homes.

Cheshire I am still enjoying this season...but strangely I'm finding Dawn sympathetic to an extent. Obviously it's no big surprise that without Magali to take a walloping Dawn and Lapdog would turn on each other - but I find Misse and Stacey tiresome. They're stuck in on Dawn being a rude cow and aren't letting it go. And I just think - GET OVER IT! On the other hand is Seema - who is awesome. Her family is adorable and I love her impression of her mother. She is a classy, sensible woman. Ampika is really confusing with her relationship with Mark - they remind me of Prince Andrew and Fergie (the Duchess not the pea) in that they basically appear to be in a marriage in all but name. I find Tanya a lot less annoying which is a plus. Lauren seems to get along very well with the new girls, which is not a surprise given that she has a sense of humour about herself. I just hope her marriage pulls through if it's good for her and Paul.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Bottom line is Vanderpump Rules has had its strongest season, ratings wise, with some episodes of VPR besting RHBH - so it isn't as if LVP would lose any visibility if she left RHBH - she'd simply have a younger demographic which is no bad thing. LVP's last blog had a farewell tone to it. If she quits, that blog suited it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
+1,000,000. I cannot believe the sh*t I heard Rinna spewing this episode. She backtracked an ENTIRE SEASON in a 5 minute scene with LemonLyme. It's unbelievable. She has zero credibility. First, her story was that she "engaged in a conversation"...then it was her hairdresser who brought it up...then it was encouraged by LVP and Kyle...then it was LVP who started it. What a load of bullsh*t. Rinna should be ashamed of herself, what a coward...she could have been the MVP of the season if she had just gone full on with LemonLyme's lies. But no...she did classic season 2 housewife and tried to play to what she thought the audience would like to see and in the end she just showed herself to be a liar and an idiot. For the first time, ever, I sympathized with Kim Richards and thought it was interesting how Rinna couldn't handle a few minutes with her before she had to flee. Eileen was irrelevant, just banging on the same tired tune and flogging the same dead horse. She should be kissing LVP's shoes, without her Eileen would not have had a single scene this season. Kathryn was interesting because she calmly and logically explained why she doesn't hate LVP and why she's open to giving her a fair shake. Kathryn has a nice life. A nice husband and now homes in Brentwood, San Diego and France. She's doing very well. And good for her. Erika was also pretty irrelevant this episode but her venom for LVP was interesting as she seemed to be going for a few choice soundbites to wrap up the season. Kyle was also irrelevant, except for coming to LVP's rescue when she could directly dispute what Rinna said about LVP and LemonLyme. Oh and she brought FAYE to our screens. Honestly, I just want them to sign Faye, bring her on, get Camille back in the mix, get Taylor back and give her a bottle of vodka and let the good times roll. LemonLyme. Honestly. The editors thought it was wise to end the season with her grand story with breaking up with King David? Seriously? What a fail. LemonLyme is NOT likeable. She comes across as a crazy bitch in her cooler Facetiming with her daughter? WTF?! LVP. She's The Queen. She is the star of this show. And wasn't it interesting how LemonLyme didn't seem convinced that LVP was the source of all the crap about her. LemonLyme, LVP's sworn enemy, couldn't be totally convinced by Rinna about LVP. I hope LVP doesn't come back. Andy Cohen and the housewives trash this woman, and sure she's the second coming of Dynasty's Alexis, and sure she lives an international jet set life, that she built from SCRATCH while the rest of them got to work on their backs, and sure she's dismissive, razor sharp and glamorous, all of which seems to get under the skins of these broads like a heat rash, but, dammit there is no show without her! Who wants to watch the rest of these sows? Not me! And I bet not many else.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOMelbourne Pettifleur continues her streak of being the least sympathetic housewife in the history of the franchise. Her constant whining, victim playing, tears, attention whoring and general humourlessness makes her insufferable to watch. I am so glad the rest of the ladies came down on her hard and unified. Another bitch is Lydiot. How dare she attempt to compete with Chyka? She will never usurp her level of fabulous. Yes, Lydiot, you were working in Dubai when it was a hole in the desert...but as the city upgraded, so too did the women who came there: enter Chyka. Lydiot has the dumbest smirk on her face and I look forward to Chyla wiping it off her face next week. Neither Lydiot or Pettifleur could stand that Chyka was getting more attention than them because she hosted the trip. Janet, Jackie, Gina, Suzie and Gamble were all useful adding glitz and humour and a few curse words about the two morons (supra). It was interesting to see Janet spring to Gina's aid when she panicked on the camel. The thing that I love about Melbourne is how much more light hearted it is than the other franchises and how, with the exception of the two morons (ibid supra) they are generally quite loyal to each other when the chips are down. They don't necessarily love each other, but they do have a basic respect for each other. Frankly, they're just nicer people. RHODallas It reminded me so much of Potomac! You've got the young, immature, crude, but generally harmless one (the redhead former cheerleader) vs the ageing, serious, thinks her mediocre house and husband are better than they actually are one (Leanne). I too hope it's a 10 episode season, to test the waters, though it does appear more dramatic than Potomac based on the previews.

Lips brought the receipts. I wouldn't consider those to be receipts. Yeah, LVP called her ten times but so what? That still doesn't mean she pushed her into bringing up Munchausen. Rinna brought that crap up b/c SHE needed a story. She did the same crap with Kim's alcoholism last year. It doesn't matter. The second Rinna said LVP called her she said she never called and then said if she did she rarely called her at her home. That's when Rinna pulled out the call history because she knew LVP would lie and brought proof. It's also why Erica was amused. If LVP can clearly lie about not calling her, it's more than probable she's lying about everything else and Rinna is correct. Rinna is tired of being thrown under the bus since they all engaged in the Munchausen accusation, which she was all too happy to be the ring leader but she thought LVP would own her part in it. I suspect LVP did more than her fair share off camera since she doesn't like Yolanda however LVP is acting like she never did. If I was Rinna I would be pissed too. Rinna never said that LVP called her at home. Rinna said that LVP said never called her. LVP said she never called Rinna at home, so Rinna was lying. Rinna has a history of exploiting people's ailments for her benefit and she needs to own it. Even if LVP told her offscreen about Munchausen, it was Rinna who brought it up onscreen and stayed going after Yolanda like a dog with bone. That's on Rinna. Not on LVP or Kyle. Again, Rinna needs to take her own advice and-- Exactly! The only person who uttered the Munchausen thing on air was Rinna and she only has herself to blame if she agreed to bring it up on behalf of someone else. She has a very hard time 'owning' her actions, despite her repetitive discussion about it.

NYC I am so glad it's back. It looks to be a fun season... Sonja and LuAnn living together will be hilarious. Of that there is no doubt. I distinctly recall LuAnn buying her apartment on the Upper West Side - on this episode the inference is she was renting and 'let it go' as the kids moved out. This may all be for storyline purposes. In any event I love LuAnn hanging in Sonja's crumbling townhouse. And Sonja is as delusional as ever with all that chatter about the Morgan Museum - but I can't hate Sonja because she's totally harmless and not malicious at all. Ramona has new boobs, a new attitude and I think she's had her eyes done and they look great. I hope she's emerging from the divorce like a butterfly from its cocoon. And she's been a class act so far as Mario and Avery are concerned. 'Kadooz' to that. Carole is more irrelevant than ever. I still love Dorinda but I understand why the women dislike John. He really is Dorinda's chubby baby. Bethenny's hair looks great cut short. Makes her look younger. She seems a bit more relaxed which is nice. I'm not here for Jules. She seems like a princess bitch and anyone who can't control their toddler aged child doesn't have my respect. She seems oblivious to real life.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHBH Kyle sucks. She is the same high school mean girl instigator that she's always been. She does all her assassin work in her VT interviews. No matter how she behaves or what she says to anyone's face, she's a nasty bitch. Kyle is a huge liar and she always has been, from her first season with Camille and she just straddles the fence in permanent splits. LemonLyme's little picnic I didn't need to see. Brandi still appears to be gutter trash while Kim still appears to be high/drunk/medicated/off her rocker. Lips is out to lunch and she's blown all of her credibility with how she's gone back and forth about *everything*, both on the show and in her blogs. She can use as much therapy speak as she wants but she rarely makes any sense. She has ridden LVP and LemonLyme's coattails all season long to keep herself relevant. Eileen is a stupid, whiney, manipulator and a hypocrite. And if there's something I can't stand, it's a hypocrite. Eileen has manipulated Lips to do her bidding all season long and it's just pathetic that the woman who invented Kristen Blake doesn't have an ounce of her balls. Eileen stalking Kyle and LVP while they were talking is just so demonstrative of who and what she really is, a coward and a snake. It's such a shame. She's second generation daytime royalty and she's blown that to smithereens with this season. I hope the money was worth it. Erica is very smart and funny. Such a shame that she bet on the horse called LemonLyme. If she returns next season (if there is one of course) it'll be interesting to see her and how she does. Kathryn had some guts with calling out Eileen and telling her not to eavesdrop. And she looked AMAZING. She needs Erica's glam squad 100% of the time. LVP is the *only* one who speaks English properly. It isn't just semantics, as Kyle said, it DOES make a difference with how things are phrased. But that's besides the point. I don't have a hard time believing LVP was stirring the pot. But here's the thing: I don't care. She's the only reason to watch the show. The show is NOTHING without her. Anyone who has conflict with her is jealous that they aren't her and jealous that she's outsmarted them all. There is only one Queen. Despite Lips saying LVP and LemonLyme have been in a battle for dominance, we all know there's only one lady at the top and that's LVP, the undisputed star of the show.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Everyone rush to Bravo and read LVP's blog. She 'went there' with Lips and Eileen. It's a mic drop worthy blog. "With hindsight, after seeing so much nastiness where I have never retaliated, I would have asked her how she felt screwing some other woman's husband. That actually, in retrospect, speaks volumes." "I thank you for your indomitable support. No, as LR has said, I didn't play the victim. The victim would be better played by a C-list actress who would depart in floods of tears. I sat there." The Empress has spoken.

@Nothin'ButAttitude thank you for the links!!! They ruined all my well intentioned plans for the evening (but they were amazing!) Melbourne Pettifleur is the nastiest, most humourless bitch out of all the Real Housewife franchises. She is just vile. She is nuts! She clearly loathes her son's girlfriend and is the mother in law from hell. She is just awful and so self Lydia's inability to grasp basic geography (UNITED ARAB EMIRATES!) goes to show that Janet nailed it when she dubbed her 'Lydiot'...I have this feeling Joanna is going to stab her to death randomly one day with the way she talks down to her. Janet and Brian...again...just get it over with. They're two peas in a pod. Jackie and Ben should not have children unless they're 100%. It isn't all sweetness and light. Potomac "You're a stupid woman who says stupid things!" - I'm glad Katie said it. But it applies to all of them. Karen was vicious at lunch and strident as ever - but she brings life to the show and without her it would be awful. I'm glad it's over and I won't be watching the reunion - I'll just read a recap. Cheshire I am so glad it's back! It was a great episode! Misse...a supermodel? No. Nope. Never was. She looks SO old for 29. I'm on the fence about her. Stacey...whatever. I see why Dawn forgets her name. She's totally forgettable. Seema - love her. Love her husband. Love her sons. What a great addition! Dawn drunk off her ass at the fashion show amused me because she devolves into the rough broad from Bolton without much effort. Leanne and Tanya - obviously they're only worth 50% housewife a piece. Leanne seems totally over Dawn...that will be interesting. It's a shame about Lauren and Paul because I adore those two together and I find Lauren funny as all get out. Hopefully it's either worked out or they part ways amicably. Ampika is hilarious and full on. Bring on this season!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Melbourne... This episode the only people with clean hands were Gamble and Suzie. Gamble had a beautiful wedding and the speeches made were so heartfelt. I wish a long and happy marriage to her and Rick. In theory Pettifleur's hands were pretty clean at the wedding, but she's such a bitch the whole rest of the time I can't even with her. Janet, Chyka, Lydia and Jackie were all in very poor taste for going after Gina at Gamble's wedding. However, Gina was in very poor taste for leaving Gamble's pre wedding dinner and drinks to go watch herself on television while passing it off as her son's birthday and inviting random wedding strays. If I was Gamble I would have been hurt. And the argument that she 'had' to because of social media commitments could have been easily remedied by having her assistant do it - that's what most of Hollywood does after all. Janet and her ex should just get back together and call it a day. They clearly adore each other, faults and all. Chyka's daughter has a terrible attitude. Considering how hard working Chyka and Bruce are they have raised a pathetically lazy selfish brat. Gina's scenes with her father were sad - especially because she acknowledged that she doesn't see him enough and will end up regretting it. That bothers me because she knows there is an issue but she's not taking any steps to rectify it. And yes she's busy but people make the time if they really want to. Her son's birthday was awkward given that nobody under the age of 45 (except Gina's assistant) were there.

LVP's blog also slays Eileen...she'll regret ever making 'the affair' an issue with LVP because she armed her with knowing exactly which button to push...she nuked her in the following paragraph: "So clearly much has been discussed between the soap actresses, with one evidently wearing a director's hat, orchestrating discussions to be brought to the forefront, discussions of subjects that had transpired many months ago. I was naive as I had no idea until now how aggressively the soap actress pursued her mouthpiece...Shameful, but I suppose she is that kind of woman. She won't stop until she gets what she wants...Boom."

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
BH Oh what an ugly episode for so many involved but the worst by far for Eileen. She came across as incredibly petty as she brought up The Affair, yet again, with the same song and dance that fell flat as a pancake. The issue Eileen seems unable to not grasp is that LVP already apologized, Eileen already said they were good (after LVP said "you're sure? Because I need to be really f*cking good with you!") and it seems Eileen has brought this issue up in every single episode since The Affair was mentioned. She needs to Let It Go but she just cannot because it's the only storyline she's got this year. Rinna didn't bother me as much but she's got this bad habit of using SoCal Therapy Speak buzzwords. You could make a drinking game out of her use of 'Own It' 'Authentic' 'Real' 'My Truth' 'I Never Lie' and 'Scapegoat'. Kyle managed to wail like a banshee and make everything all about her and Kim and how screwed up they all are - it's a real skill. I do think Kyle has a friendship with LVP that she values. Kathryn made all sorts of sense in saying it's a cultural issue between LVP and Eileen and The Affair and subsequent apologies. Erica did as well - they both seem to have the rational sense that Eileen lacks and don't seem to take any validation from an apology. Considering how these two fought they've been incredibly civil to each other on this trip. I didn't notice LemonLyme this episode and that was a godsend. I will not enjoy her Xanax Picnic with Kim and Brandi next week. LVP took a hit this episode - but Kyle's indifference to the conflict softens the blow. Who knows who is to be belived because both angles benefit the respective women's stories and images. A simple truth is this: LVP is the master of this franchise and genre, she was made for it. If she did try to implicate Kyle maybe there was a reason - or maybe she wanted to amp up the story - either way a crappy thing to do to Kyle...though I'm sure LVP would feel more than justified given their history. Eileen and Rinna really bet on the wrong horse (themselves) in this season - the fact is they both have needed LVP for every moment of story they've had all season. But antagonizing her doesn't do either of them any favours in the long run so I hope the momentary storyline was worth it.

Last night's ATL reunion was much of the same...pretty dull...just a bunch of women screaming at each other while Sheree made amusing side commentary. Andy obviously adores Phaedra's son Ayden, but I don't know if it's right for him to be around the set like that given the filth some of these women spew. Kandi was bang on about everyone attempting to gang up on Kenya about that the aggressive guy on the Miami trip. Kenya's a delusional sack of sh*t, but everyone was wrong for acting like she had any responsibility in how that guy acted. Next week looks good as Nene arrives and Chris and Kim trash Kenya for all her homophobic nonsense.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
So very lovely. Dame Babs is appreciating this so very much.
