  1. Potomac Go get 'em Karen! Rip them all to shreds at the reunion. The way Bravo edited Karen's anniversary party into the trailer at the beginning of the season was very clever because I'd spent the whole season waiting for the sh*t to hit the fan at that party...and then it didn't. In fact, Karen cried because she was touched about her mother...an issue they didn't touch on at all throughout the season. Her poor mother looked so vulnerable. No wonder Karen has been stressed out - she IS dealing with a lot when her mother is struggling with dementia. Honestly, how dare these stupid women pile on her when she's dealing with a real life problem. They have no shame. I'm all for Ashley ripping Robyn a new one - even though her own marriage is a shambles and she shouldn't be throwing any stones from her glass house. The scene between Robyn and Juan was uncomfortable to watch. She's in a dysfunctional non-relationship and he's a smooth talker, and she's eating up his bullsh*t with a spoon. What a fool. Giselle is bitter, bitter, bitter. She thinks she's so fabulous, yet all I see is a Vanessa L. Williams wannabe. That poor guy she was stringing along. She clearly doesn't like a 'nice guy' so she gets what she deserves that retired basketball player. Charisse is ridiculous and has a nasty attitude. She has a permanent "smelling the fart acting" expression on her face. She is a loser. Monique has a nice house and her husband seems into her. Good for her. But I think she was a dud. Did she really bring anything to this season? Would it have been really different without her? I doubt it.
  2. Agreed. Tinsley was relevant 10 years ago. Those days are over. And I wouldn't ever say she was a businesswoman. She successfully licensed her name. When Sonja Morgan is more relevant you know you're in trouble. At best she's a friend of the housewives. And soon she needs to be an ex friend of the housewives. Tinsley's mother, on the other hand, is a star. I could listen to her Southern drawl slam Ramona with a subtle "That's very attractive" on repeat.
  3. It's all she's got going for her...how sad is that?
  4. I do not agree that Dorinda seems to be an alcoholic. The Housewives franchise is notorious for plying the housewives with alcohol whenever they film. Dorinda just happens to be loud when she's drunk. She doesn't seem dependent on it at all. Her life is far too functional for her to have an actual problem with alcohol.
  5. NYC *CLIP...CLIP...CLIP...CLIP...you fool!" - Dorinda. That's the iconic line of the season. It's this season's "Be cool, don't be all, like uncool!"...Dorinda has another signature line that just spells trouble for any housewife in her path when she utters it: "You better back that sh*t up right now"...Sonja is not equipped to deal with Dorinda. Sonja needs to wave the white flag, never cross Dorinda again and get back to being amusing. Ramona was such an ass this episode. Carole did a nice thing by making sure Dorinda got a nice room and the first thing Ramona can do is complain about it. LuAnn made an ass of herself at the end of the episode by whining about her room. She expected a better room because she's married. What? Illogical. Bethenny is full of crap about being cordial to Ramona. There's no reason for her to try lying about her contempt for Ramona - Bethenny can't pull that lie off. Why bother? I can't with Tinsley crying about her life. The charges were dropped. She's 41. Time to get over it or get off TV. I hope she's a once and done this season. She's another dud. NYC needs to stop casting these wannabe young girls. NYC is more mature than that.
  6. Thank you for posting that. Get 'em Karen!
  7. As always, an impeccable review that I always enjoy and almost always agree with. The only issue we differ on is Sonja. I still enjoy washed up Sonja because she has a vulnerability to her that reminds me that most of Sonja's problems start with her desire to please others. It drove me crazy watching her with Rocco - a man who *gets* her and is clearly smitten - plus age appropriate and has a few bucks! Sonja - THERE is love, sitting right there and he seems to like you and your international fashion lifestyle brand and Nigerian football team and toaster oven bullshit! I so want Sonja to get an intervention from a financial guru like Gail Vaz Oxlade (my fellow Canadians will know of whom I'm speaking) who could help her restructure her life. That townhouse is her albatross - once she rids herself of that place and buys herself a cute 2 bedroom condo her life will improve enormously.
  8. What NY needs is an authentic, larger than life, character...which means they need to bring back Jill. Bringing on Kenya or another HW transplant will not work because it will make the show even less organic than it already is...what made these shows great is the actual relationships between some cast members that preceded the show. The reason Jules and Tinsley have failed is they're a solid generation, mentally, younger than the rest of the cast. They're not in the same time of life and therefore can't relate to the other women.
  9. It's doomed.
  10. Charrisse irritates me to no end. She has as much class and style as a cold sore. Her makeup and hair systems are just tragic. But it's her voice that really breaks my spirit. That strange nasal whine with the slightest tinge of a faux classy accent - like something Lauren Hutton would have conjured up for a 1980s miniseries. I want to see Karen nuke each of these women at the reunion. She has the Burger King cashier street cred to get it done.
  11. I prefer Kenya by a country mile to Gizelle. She is bitter and very conceited.
  12. Exactly! Not one of those women has survived a sexual assault, raised a family, and stayed in a happy marriage for 20+ years, except Karen. Every last one of those women should be taking notes and asking for tips. Let's catalogue the rest of these women's failings since they seem to delight in ripping Karen: Robyn: living with her lying, cheating, ex-husband who lost all their money, while she's still in love with him and he can't be bothered with her. Charrisse: seemingly permanently buzzed on champagne, crooked weave, and desperate. Living off her soon to be ex-husband's money that she's blowing on stupid crap when she should be paying a good divorce lawyer since she'll never land a wealthy man again. Ashley: naive, in a marriage with a dinosaur more interested in her sex acts than her ability to run a business, zero control over finances. Gizelle: living off her cheating ex-husband while pretending that she could have any man in the room when the fact of the matter is she's an ageing wannabe video vixen with poor diction and a jealous streak as wide as the Grand Canyon. Monique: living off her husband, mother in law hates her, no aspirations of her own. Yeah, a bunch of success stories right there. And if that isn't an accurate depiction then these Potomac ladies better get really self aware because that's how they all come across. How dare they think they're any better than Karen. If she's in bad financial shape they should be sympathetic, not spiteful.
  13. Karen has no friends in this cast. They all want to see her suffer and fail. Gizelle says she's licensed to say what the streets are saying? Well I guess that makes her a streetwalker. Charrisse's champagne room...whatever she spent on it is money flushed right down the toilet. That particular renovation adds nothing for resale. Charrisse is all hat and no cattle. Robyn is just sad. That therapy session highlighted that she is not interested in changing her life at all. Ashley's marriage still seems doomed.
  14. There is some major traction alopecia happening to both of those women. Charrisse trying to claim that she isn't as deluded as Karen is laughable. She installed a champagne room in her home.
  15. Dr. Patricia Wexler. 145 East 32nd Street, New York, New York. Jill's name checked her.
  16. Of course she is, she needs the money!
  17. Karen destroyed Charisse with that tidbit of intel. Decimated her. And with all that salty language. I love Karen this season. I can't wait for Charisse's money to run out. She is being awful about Karen's financial situation, whatever it might be, and her pompousness about her money (ie Eddie Jordan's money) is going to come and bite her in the ass, big time.
  18. Suzy. That's the boring one you're thinking of. One of the new ones...Venus...claims to be 35. Really? If so, she's the oldest looking 35 I've ever seen.
  19. Welcome back!
  20. EPIC I am so ready for this! Bring on OC!
  21. @Cheap21 @Nothin'ButAttitude Thank you for enduring Sydney so that we could all concur what an ugly, disgusting franchise it is. They need to fire 75% of the cast and start over. It was awful. The Cheshire 'inside their homes' special was decent, though a real reunion would have been appreciated given the explosiveness of the season. Potomac has been so good this season - which is all down to Karen being hilarious, a peace maker and totally real (except for this house thing, is Karen broke?).
  22. I loved the finale too. Another great season for Cheshire. Leanne slapping Dawn's finger out of her face was a subtle moment of pure fury. Leanne was standing up for herself and to hell with Dawn's pride. That was great. I agree that Ester needs to go. Her story was bizarre and the way she flipped out at Stacey and Seema...good lord. What a guttersnipe. Ampika owned her ass. Lauren always makes me laugh. She is so blatantly rude and hilarious. Tanya's store is the dumbest idea I've seen in a RH franchise. Dawn is the show's prime villainess - she needs to just own it.
  23. The last two weeks of Potomac have been good. Robyn is so dumb. What's going on with her and Juan is just pathetic. And let's not even touch her "nationality"... Gizelle is a hater. It's going to make her very ugly. This is a great season for Karen. She has come off incredibly well. Ashley's marriage is doomed. The Real Housewives of Melbourne wouldn't be caught dead eating at Oz.
  24. The women, aside from Dorinda and to a lesser extent Sonja, want to show their moral superiority to Luann. They think they are better people because they don't conduct their lives the same way Luann does. And that's total crap. If Luann and Tom have an arrangement that works for them what business is it of anyone else's? They are grown adults, no children are involved and everyone has their eyes open. In fact, Tom seems to really like Luann. Bethenny and Ramona are terribly scarred from their divorces and they're projecting their insecurities onto Luann's relationship. Carole is just a bitch. Tinsley doesn't care or have any skin in that game. Sonja is delusional about Tom but also seems pretty live and let live. I think she knows Luann has an arrangement, doesn't judge it, but also had concerns about how it works in practice. I can understand hat. Dorinda is loyal.
  25. Great post. And that's the moment I'm seriously looking forward to. Leanne has found her voice and her slapping down Dawn's pointed finger is going to be amazing. I loved how Lauren copped to everything and Dawn had no ammunition. It really does seem that everyone is closing in on her.
