Sex on soaps is usually presented as fantastic, mind blowing etc with both partners totally in sync So to see someone not enthralled by her first time is refreshing. It doesn't make Kat asexual, rather typical of a lot of people's first time experience. This might lead to Kat realizing she likes Tomas as a person, but not necessarily a sexual partner. Or maybe she'll go along with it to hold on to him and avoid awkward conversations, convincing herself that her inexperience means she is at fault and things will get better.

I hardly recognized Colby out of the cutesy clothes and wigs Kat wears. She looks way better IRL.

The teen drama has hardly been essential to the plot. What happened to the girl interested in Tyrell? The actor playing Tyrell is good. Surely they could have found a girl the right age? Or better yet child actors if they needed to have kids at all. I think Smitty and Martin having kids is unnecessary. They could have been applying for adoption which would have given Martin more of a reason to cover up his crime.

There have been way more demands placed on Brandon, acting wise than Alex, and he has been unsteady in some of he more dramatic moments for sure. But Alex has trouble with even the most mundane scenes. Watching him interact with Timon, for example is such a contrast. The latter fully inhabits the character and has all sorts of body language and facial expressions at play, even when not speaking. Whereas Alex just stands there and waits to say his lines. I do feel sorry to be ragging on him. And why hasn't our other great thespian Ben Gavin entered the discussion?

Heather, Cole, Damian, Chance all dead. Will we ever see Nina again? I wonder if Cane will get a home set when he returns to GC.Or is he forever destined to wander through the GCAC,CL, Society and the Jazz Club? The worst thing is the ratings are maintaining, so JG looks like he's staying. I wonder what the actors really feel about the state of the show?

How many TV themes made the charts? Some I recall hitting US Top 40 SWAT Rockford Files Laverne & Shirley Baretta Happy Days Any more? I'm sure there were many released as singles that didn't make the Top 100.

Oh yeah...thanks for the reminder. Guess I'm just hoping hat they don't go down the fake pregnancy route. There's no way that story can work. Yes, if you were a new viewer you wouldn't think Jacob had any connection to Nicole by the way he interacted with her. That whole approach was wrong. I didn't mind the Ted/Leslie scenes as I read it as him not responding to her provocations and trying to just ease her out w.o causing a scene. And it is a soap, they have to have these slightly contrived scenes. Not much drama if Ted slammed the door in her face. Tomas is coming across as incredibly dumb or a total sleaze revealing all this personal stuff to Eva. I just can't with Kat in those baby girl outfits. I hope she grows out of that look. Daphne is def MVP. She must get some of the same awkward lines as other characters but her delivery is flawless and you don't notice them. And Ambyr is another gem.

Back to Hayley for a moment. Maybe the twist is she is pregnant and the writers are leading us,and Dani along. There will be a physical confrontation b/w Hayley/Dani causing Hayley to lose the baby. Thus setting up many ramifications. The mystery phone call from Hayley will turn out to be another issue-long lost relative.

I was thinking that maybe 2 of the lead stories -Bill/Hayley and Martin's accident would have been better told onscreen in the opening weeks. The first Friday reveal- Bill/Hayley are having an affair. Or Dani finding out .We would then see the drama of everyone finding out -the confrontations etc And Martin/Vernon driving home and the ambush occurring- the tension as they decide to go coverup etc. Much more involving than hearing about it 2nd hand, What do you think?

The house we never see... Agree but 'his all' at this point is lacking. That's not shade at Eric, just facts. There is an opportunity for a story of Victor realizing that he's slowing down and taking stock. Of course Josh Griffith could not write that. It could be more compelling and believable than Victor being the Alpha Male that everyone is in fear of.

Yes and the show should recognize that instead of pretending that Victor is still some macho power player as in years gone by. This nonsense of them being cut off is insane. If Adam could fly to the South of France and scale a mountain to reach them, then why doesn't some one go down the same damn mountain? Maybe if they were on an island it would make a little more sense. Victor and Jack etc have been completely out of touch with their business/family for weeks and nobody is concerned? Possibly the worst story the show has done.

OK but it's not like she has been trying for months with no results. Unless it's revealed that she knew going into the marriage she couldn't have kids. Hayley's character is a bit of a blank. She hasn't been presented as a social climber to any great extent and she doesn't have anyone close to her that she could talk to and provide some insights to her motives. I still think it would have been interesting if someone inside the Dupree circle had been more sympathetic to her.

Not bringing back her son Scott didn't help-it was one less way to involve Lisa in story. Scott suffered the same fate as Andy, Frannie etc. TPTB stubbornly refused to flesh out the core families. I guess they thought brand new characters with no ties to the past would make the show more contemporary and appealing.

At this point I am not understanding the Hayley pregnancy story-why is she doing this? It's not like Bill was growing away from her-they are newlyweds and he has constantly supported her. And he was not pressuring her for a child. That sort of story usually occurs when a vixen has trapped a guy with a pregnancy-either a lie or she loses the baby. And I would have liked to see Bill with a cane for a little longer -it was a good character prop and reminder of his stroke.

I think introducing proper 'themed' flashback days or weeks could be an effective way to cut down in producing new episodes. A bit like the tribute eps Y&R do for milestone anniversaries. Properly promoted I think they could hold viewer interest. Maybe 4 Wednesdays in a particular month. eg This month every Wed we're looking back at the lives and loves of Nick Newman or Tomorrow on BTG its Danni day looking back at her triumphs and tragedies etc Either/or characters/actors reminiscing about certain storylines. Although it would be more expensive to produce than a straight repeat, surely less expense than a new episode.

Soap Central is often wrong. Eileen returned to ATWT Jan 67. She mentions it in her book and includes the script from her first episode back.

All very interesting except for the fact that Eileen did not return to ATWT until January 1967 so ant ratings info from 65-66 have no relevance to Lisa, who wasn't onscreen.

So there's Jack bawling out Billy for making Sally head of Abbott Communications. Sally has zero qualifications to be CEO of anything, especially the company that Billy claims is going to shake up the industry(insert cringe emoji) How many jobs has Sally had since she came to GC? Sorry Jack, but you were an idiot to have any faith in Billy as he has blown every business opportunity he ever had. But that might require character growth and insight and Josh isn't interested as he'd rather replay the same stories over and over. Billy is insufferable and not in a love to hate or endearing way. Dislike JT's take on the character and the writing. Really Billy could be written off at this point. Are Micheal and Lauren lost in the maze or scrambling down the hillside? What was the piont of including them if they are not seen?

And they both played the same role -Rose on SFT!

I still am not convinced about the Martin storyline. The Duprees are THE family in town, as witnessed by them summoning the Chief of Police who was prepared to aid in the cover up. Surely that power and influence could be used to immediately swing into action and go public with what happened, exposing the racism and hate that can touch even an upper echelon family. They were threatened with violence-there was a gun-and an elderly man was threatened. In self defence Martin lashed out. They would have highlighted an ongoing issue and being PR savvy have used it to their advantage. As for Chelsea, that story has been half baked since Day 1. The 3 way was barely touched on and then an instant romance with an unsuitable partner followed up with a possible stalker. All too much. I could see Bill being slightly cynical about his daughters fluid sexuality.
