Back from the dead stories were few and far between until the rise of the 'supercouple' Genie Francis and Wayne Northrop leaving had GH and DOOL leaving the door open for their return. The Story of Mary Marlin Plot summary as of 1940 Mary was born and brought up in Cedar Springs, Iowa, where she married her childhood sweetheart. The story began after Mary and her Joe Marlin had been married for 14 years; when Mary had begun to show her 35 years and Joe had found his law office partnership with David Post all absorbing. Then Joe fell in love with his secretary and asked for a divorce. Alone, unloved, Mary fled to New Yok rather than face the gossip of Cedar Springs and the pity of her friends. There she met Mme. Henriette, a childhood friend who had become the foremost beauty specialist in the country. Through Henriette's influence and efforts, Mary set about recapturing her youth and beauty. One day, glowing, alive and charming, looking ten years younger, Mary was dining in a New York restaurant when her ex- husband met her for the first time since their divorce. After long months they were reconciled and became the parents of a son, David, who is now four years old. Joe was elected senator from Iowa and was sent to Russia on a secret mission. His plane crashed in the wilderness and since then no word has been heard either from or of him, although influential friends have detectives tracing the course of a mysterious white man into the interior of China. Present episodes are concerned with the search for Joe, who has lost his memory, and Mary's adventures. Mary herself has been appointed to her husband's place in the Senate, where she is carrying on Joe's ideal cf "the great American dream." She is ardently supported by Joe's partner, David Post, who has fallen in love with Mary. Rufus Kane, labor leader, has also fallen in love with Mary and he and his mother are convinced that she will marry .him if he defeats Mary's friend, Frazer Mitchell, for the presidency of the United States. Frazer's wife, Bunny, is one of Mary's arch- enemies, although she consistently manages to blind Frazer to her pretty meannesses and her love for money and power. Bunny's present campaign to keep her husband's faith involves a scheme to adopt a child of the slums, one "Tootle." Two other children are prominent figures in the current adventures of Mary Marlin, Timothy, a little blind boy who was adopted by Henriette, and young Bill Adams, son of life -long friends cf the Marlins. Timothy, at present, is living in the Marlin home.

So Summer and Kyle were loving Milan so that might be the story. As Kyle wants to stay in GC and bond with Dianne, Summer wants to go back. Will Sally again be subjected to the wrath of Phyliis/Summer?

For every Hunter that was given a shot in a new timeslot, there were dozens of other shows that missed that opportunity. Alice and the Jeffersons were fading as they were the only remnants of the Sunday comedy block and now looked a little out of place, but CBS must have known sending them to Tuesdays against A Team was a death knell. Did they deserve that? Both of them had been moved around the schedule in past seasons and dipped in the ratings before returning to better slots. Or were they creatively spent, expensive to produce and CBS quickly wanted to get rid of them?

This car accident/Rey's death complete with wrecked cars plays like a May sweeps story. Maybe things got brought forward? I wonder if Rey will be as quickly forgotten as Dylan? Maybe they'll decide to put Sharon and Nick back together for good.

I imagined a story at some point when Esther talked about online dating. She talks to a guy and they get along and eventually decide to meet. Esther is shocked to see'Tiny' and he doesn't remember her at all. Esther has to face up to whether to tell him who she is and that he has a daughter. Then you have Chole's reaction etc.

That's good to know, Esther could still be a part of the show. Working at Crimson Lights as a talk to for example.

It seems a bit awkward to be celebrating Kate's 40 years on the show when she is not even onscreen. The last time I remember seeing her was a scene with Sharon Xmas 2021. Has she even been on this year?

Bo's return is no surprise, just another death reversed. It's become a Days cliche at this point. When a character is killed off there's no emotional connection for the audience, even as characters go through showy grieving. Same with back from the dead-audience shrugs as characters act like it's some kind of miracle. Maybe Bo could have told Hope he was sick and they finally agree to face it together.Then Bo ups and leaves, leaving Hope distraught, trying to understand, building a new life, falling in love gain and feeling guilty but angry at Bo etc. Makes his return far more palatable.

October 1942 "Woman in White" fans can follow their favorite characters, even though the serial has folded up. The lead part, that of Karen Adams, is moving over to "Road of Life." Karen's a nurse, and "Road of Life" is about a hospital, so the shift is easy. Loretta Hendrick becomes Dr. Brent's ("Road") patient when the script puts Dr. Kirk Harding ('W, in W.") into the Army. She demands Karen's services. and Dr. Kirk may appear in "Road," too, to remarry Karen. All this finagling between shows Is possible because both serials are written by the Irna Phillips office

Maybe Victoria wakes up and thinks she is still happy with Ashland and they play the'she is too fragile right now to face the truth so everyone has to do along with it and pretend Ashland and Victoria are happily married.' Have you not been watching? They'll just have Ashland either be forgiven or pretend it never happened. See Chelsea Adam Phyllis Victor etc etc I think she is probably as annoyed and depressed with the show as the viewers. Stuck in ugly, unflattering costumes on tiny sets playing a supporting role in boring stories. This is not the Nikki she used to play.
