omg! Jem is my name! No-one else is the same! Don't judge me, I loved that cartoon.

Personally I think Sheree is nowhere near the fabulosity of Krystle Carrington OR Jem. She looks like the Bride of Frankenstein. It's Frankenreé. Nene's fishtail ain't great but Sheree managed to overshadow Nene's disastrous wig situation -- for now.

Speaking of Nene, I'm glad she is back on ATL. I think she will bring the franchise a breath of fresh air. I'm also glad production cut last year's emo background music and we are back to the usual music.

Kenya looks glorious. But she seems embarrassed. Embarrassed of her father, embarrassed of her co-workers on this show, embarrassed of the show itself. I can understand why she doesn't want to bring her hubby around them (especially working ho-stroller Porsha), but I also worry that she feels 'lesser than' compared to him and his achievements.

I can't stand Porsha and her complaining about Kandi and Nene. How did she makee it into this season with her crocodile tears -- she must be blowing somebody powerful somewhere. I don't even get why she is mad at Nene for giving her good advice about -- duh -- not beating up people you work with, or you might be fired and never rehired! How was Nene in the wrong for holding her hand and breaking the news gently to her? Porsha's an idiot and nasty piece of work and I could have done without her this season.

Ugh, Peter. I feel like Cynthia is crawling back to him for some downlow 'friends with benefits' action. You can do better, Cynthia! Speaking of better, the party wasn't exceptional -- I preferred her sunglasses line launch party. And Cynthia usually looks incredible even when she takes chances with her outfits. But that I Dream of Jeannie mess her stylist put her in was a HORROR and he needs to be fired. The criss-cross strapping on her back was BAD. And I say this as someone who believes Cynthia might be the most beautiful HW of all the franchises.

Trust Page Six to oversell the headline. It's co-parenting, not a 'reunion' of their relationship.

Still, she is working it to stay on OC. I'm curious to see how she will cope next year. BTW, in addition to Peggy, Lydia and Meghan being fired next season, Kelly can go too. I'm coming to a point where I really don't like her.

Either way, OC needs to clean house big-time.

So this new EP really doesn't like the show he is on, right?

    Must be nice.

Yeah, Michael Beck is all about Kim and the Biermanns. RHoA is a promotional tool for their wretched and devalued brand. I still don't understand why Bravo couldn't have got another POC as EP.

I initially thought they wouldn't release the opening credits because Beck and Kim might be lobbying hard for her inclusion at the last minute. Seems like the other HWs and Bravo had different plans. But how mean-minded is he to release the credits but with no taglines?? That is a fit of pique on his part. Don't tell me Bravo is having a hard time choosing taglines -- the Atlanta bunch has the best wordplay and shade of all the franchises. No, this is Michael Beck wanting to mess with fans and show them who is boss, I think.

I am nervous about this season. Carlos was not perfect by any stretch, he got fired for a reason, and it was definitely time for a change but... not convinced about this one.

  4. This thread moves fast so I cannot remember if this interview was posted but its about a man who got into what he terms was a relationship with Kevin Spacey when he was also 14. It's a triggering read but very powerful, in the sense that only upon looking back can he see these predators laying the groundwork for taking advantage of young boys. He still takes on a lot of the blame on himself though, which is devastating to read: I think at one point he says "I was complicit but not complicit." That is the scar that predators and abusers leave right there: the fear in your mind that your abuse was partly or wholly your fault.

    http://www.vulture.com/2017/11/kevin-spacey-alleged-sexual-relationship.html

That Uma response is powerful and shocking, her anger she is trying to keep in check. For a while there, about a decade ago when her acting opportunities started drying up, I was worried because she seemed to be falling into heavy drug dependency and a revolving door of wealthy European boyfriends who were bad news. Hopefully she is in a good place now and able to process these allegations coming to light.

  5. Congrats, Cheap! You created imo one of the best and most fun threads on this board.

Thinking about the lack of ATL taglines, I wonder if it is because Michael Beck and Bravo want to give Kim Z a peach and a spot in the opening credits, but most of the HWs don't want her to be an official HW? Obviously I'm just speculating, but it does seem weird that we haven't seen a tagline yet.

Lord have mercy, this is debuting! I cant do 5 series!

I'm already struggling with just 3 (OC, Dallas, NJ). One of them is definitely going to fall off my watch list. BH starts in about a month, too.

And Kandi has that Xscape show starting right after ATL.

Just think about how many people kept working even tho they knew Spacey and Singer preyed on young men and boys. Hell, the Young Vic people knew and did nothing. Can you imagine the number of actresses given career changing roles knowing HW was trash?

And the rumor over here with the Old Vic is that not only did they know and turn a blind eye for 10 years, but that KS's reputation preceded him. Apparently he was contractually obligated by the Old Vic not to harass young men at work, i.e.: they wrote it in his contract back in 2005. Allegedly. Now they are playing the 'we are shocked' card.

Another enjoyable episode watching Siggy lose her mind. I cannot imagine she's happy with how she's coming across in these episodes, she appears insane.

    Danielle stirs that pot beautifully.

    Still really enjoy Margaret.

I enjoyed it too -- though according to Jaqueline's Twitter, I am one of the very few, as apparently ratings are in the toilet without her audience-galvanizing presence! I like the short season and it seems to have a good mix of lightness and toxicity (something NJ has always struggled with). And a dynamic mix of HWs.

Surely Siggy cannot blame how she is coming across on shady editing. She is the architect, producer, director and lead actress of her downfall. She is playing up to the cameras so badly. And she has targeted the newbie, who she feels very threatened by. As I said before, crying victim on these shows does not necessarily mean you are instantly transformed into the lead heroine. Siggy is completely tone deaf when it comes to reading the audience. She thinks she is the show's breakout star. And she has let that delusion, fuelled by literally four stans on Twitter, go to her head and fallen for her own hype, hook, line and sinker. She is absolutely nuts. Moreover, watching this week's episode, she STILL doesn't see what we see:

Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna are pretty high up on the list.

lol ok! And yes I misread your statement the first time.

Siggy is definitely in some delusional headspace (right along with Jaq ) where she thinks she makes things HAPPEN on this show. TBH, I could take or leave all the other women and just watch a mini-series featuring Teresa, her daughters and her dad. IMO that is all the drama I need -- the authentic drama of Gia begging Teresa to actually parent and discipline her children, of Teresa actually considering divorcing Joe, or Giacinto seeing pics of his late wife at the pizzeria.

I am not someone who thought Siggy was especially cute her first season but this time around she is beyond annoying. I don't know if she realises the wave of anti feeling coming towards her, but it is going to hit her like a tsunami by the time reunion rolls around. There is no reason on earth for her to despise Margaret the way she does.

Dolores though... Danielle clearly twisted something she may have said. I can see Dolores's side of things here, even though I'm not against Danielle doing her usual pot-stirring. She may have met her match with Dolores.

We’ve all seen some 2nd season epic fails before but I truly think Siggy is about to have the worst second season in Housewives history and Dolores is calateral damage because she’s stupid enough to co-sign this mad woman’s bat [!@#$%^&*] behavior.

    Who's the first worst?

  11. Those looks are channelling about six different TV shows.

    D'Andra - Dallas

    LeeAnne - Dynasty

    Kameron - Gossip Girl

    Brandi - Jersey Shore

Stephanie - Melrose Place (specifically Heather Locklear)

    Cary - Game of Thrones

Despite that weird thing over her right breast, I think Stephanie looks the best.

Thank you! Last season, I was not feeling LeeAnne at all. But this season she (like LuAnn once she dropped her title) just showed the good and the bad and why she is the way she is...AND I LOVED IT. She had me when she had the Hot Dog confession, but more and more she kept opening up. And finally...well...even I teared up for her at her party last night. Part of it is that Mandy Moore just did an interview with People magazine about her views on tolerance and how It is a extremely hard to find love in this world so if you find it with someone whether it's a guy or girl, people should be happy that it was found PERIOD. So seeing what made LeeAnne tick this season, capping it with her engagement party along with personal stuff going on right now in my own life just was the cherry on top for me with her. Just love her and LOVE her friendship with D'Andra and that they have known each other for a long time and it shows on screen.

D'Andra was definitely the best newcomer this year hands down. I need her to come back next year. That...and Jabot...which given the light shade Bravo gave last night in the afterwords should happen. :)

When LeeAnne learned to let go of the FEEL SORRY FOR ME, I'M IN PAIN TOOOO! stuff and just embrace life with light-heartedness, I was right there with her. Yes, she does go crazy when it comes to Cary (who I also love, for different reasons). These two are oil and water but it makes for a pretty exciting Season 2, with Brandi playing both sides and stirring the pot. Even when LeeAnne goes nuts and gets threatening nowdays, it's so OTT that it is almost comedic. It's LeeAnne the volcano, blowing her top -- and once it is blown, she is back to stuffing her dog in another hot-dog costume (let us never forget that LeeAnne did not go ALONE as a hot dog) or sighing "Why me?" when she got news of a pretty effing scary flesh-eating disease. I am also glad she has love in her life as Rich seems a good fit with her and brings her down to earth. And def the friendship with D'Andra is real. There is no way D'Andra would have made LeeAnne her maid of honor at her private wedding if she didn't consider her a close friend.

FYI I didn't know that D'Andra was once a bodybuilder (according to WikiNetWorth)!

I'm looking forward to the cameras showing up at 'Jabot' with D'Andra at 9.05am with her mother at reception tapping her expensive watch and saying "Dew yew KNOWWW what taaaaammm it is, Dee Andra?"

omg when I saw Lydia stride out with that big foolish grin on her face (and a few extra pounds, it has to be noted, though she always wears her curves phenomenally well) and then Gina caught the baby pacifier.... lol  I am ready for those two and Gamble, I tell ya. Chyka will be missed; Pettifleur won't be. I'm ok with Janet, but Jackie can keep talking to her angels about her wine spritzers or whatever that La Mascara mess is. Still, I do enjoy when she tries to play superhero to Lydia's dumb villainess.

I agree with @Cat that it looks like Wendy might have had a TIA (mini-stroke) live on air. That is frightening because a TIA is the drumroll before a major stroke.

I like Wendy, I root for her, and I think it wouldn't hurt for everyone to say a prayer for her and her health.

SAme I like her too, though she does say some stupid or provocative stuff sometimes. Over the past year I have noticed an air of sadness and distraction about her. I don't think she is happy doing the show as much as she used to be, but at the same time, I think she is holding onto it like a lifeline. I know her long-time hair/wig person died unexpectedly last summer, and she was close with him. That and whatever is happening with her husband, most be stressing her out a great deal. I am hoping she pulls through. There is of course anti-stroke medication that you can take to mitigate the possibility of a major stroke.

  14. Dallas:

I watched Just for Jabot and it was exactly as you guys described: perfect soapy goodness! When Dee Simmons handed over the keys to the company with a "as GAWWWWWD is mah witness" I almost cried. I called Dee Tammy Faye Bakker when the season first started, but Dee Simmons is SO much more than that! She is a true character. And D'Andra has achieved something most HWs don't on these shows: treat people decently, own up to your mistakes, don't try and play victim to get the audience on your side, and they will come. By putting her company and mother in the foreground, D'Andra made Jabot the breakout SL of the season as far as I am concerned. I hope we see more of her and it next season. I also buy her friendship with LeeAnne.

Speaking of victim... Brandi illustrates all that is wrong with the premise that Victimhood makes you the show heroine. She and her coven of mean girls think that by targeting somebody in their friendship circle and then icing them out, that will put your clique at the top of the heap. They think that by making LeeAnne the enemy, it validates their friendship with each other and gives them power. I hope they get a walk-up call at Reunion.

LeeAnne won me over this season. Last year she was too extra for me, wallowing too much in the pain of her charity cases. This year has been a revelation. She is much better at comedy and is a self-deprecating star.

Hope they all come back next season though if Kameron ends up a FOH, I won't be mad about it.

Now... bring on Atlanta, BH and MELBOURNE.

  15. OC

What the eff did I just watch? I had high hopes after last week's episode, but this one encapsulated everything that has driven me away this season.

I hate all the women. I actually liked Peggy this episode, but I still think she should be kicked off the show. Lydia, too.

Meghan is a monster and I hate to say this about anybody but... she doesn't deserve either that robot Jim Edmonds or the sweet baby.  I can't stand her smug face. She should have been pink-slipped by Bravo two seasons ago.

Kelly is a selfish twat who only stands by Vicki when Vicki happens to be in the room. The way she talked down to Peggy was really nasty. I wonder if she would use that tone of voice if Peggy was a WASP. I hate how this Trump-voting idiot was pretending like not going to the hospital was some kind of feminist issue. I wouldn't miss her if she was fired either.

Tamra had the nerve to belittle Vicki when she was being carried down the stairs by medics, then later proceeded to submit her audition reel for the Razzies with that appallingly fake meltdown in front of Vicki. She needs to be fired too.

Shannon is a crazy drama queen who thinks the world revolves around her Jupiterian ass. The only reason she was crying was because the focus was on Vicki and she couldn't outsquawk a potential heart attack. I hope when she gets fired, Bravo films her receiving her letter of dismissal.

And finally the production team in charge of this year's OC all need to be fired for producing a third straight season of this one-issue sh*t, for choosing this boring line-up of HWs, and for tacking on that kooky 'funny' music to the scenes of the HWs stuffing their faces while a friend was being taken to hospital in a foreign country.

  16. Just now, Khan said:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Val Kilmer reveal years ago that his and Spacey's friendship broke apart after Spacey borrowed money from his mother and never paid her back?  Or was it the other way around (Kilmer borrowed the dough from Spacey's mom and never paid it back)?  Anyway, reading about this brought that incident to mind.

What pisses me off about this (aside from Spacey's deplorable behavior that evening) is that this will likely fuel the paranoia many homophobes have against gay men (namely, that they're all depraved individuals who think nothing of raping underaged boys).

That's what troubled me too. The segue from "I was drunk! I don't remember. If I did do anything, I'm sorry. BTW, I'm gay! Hope that explains things." He is using the coming out story both as a way to distract from the allegation and also to suggest cause and effect.

  17. The Annabella Sciorra story is particularly horrible. She was raped in her own home, in her own bedroom. She still sleeps with a baseball bat by her bed. And Harvey Wankstain spent 5 days in sex rehab, is now 'cured' and back in Hollywood, making preparations to get back to producing and take down all the people who spoke against him! Why is he not being charged? Why is there no class-action lawsuit being brought against him? The only good thing about this is that it is triggering a domino effect in other industries and other parts of the world, where people are seizing the momentum and speaking out about their experiences with attempted rape and sexual coercion. I hope peole do not stop exposing these bullies, rapists and abusers, and their accomplices.

  18. @DRW50 @DaytimeFan @Nothin'ButAttitude IA about Andy, and the misogyny has worsened in recent times. I'm not going to get holier than thou about the HW shows as we all know exactly what they are, and still watch and love them. But the shows do milk women's worst, most irrational instincts. I am reminded of Andy giggling behind his question cards as Bethenny went after Luann again and again and again on that Season 8 Reunion, or the amusement he has for Erika Jayne refering to the other HWs as c-u-next-Tuesdays. He loves that mess. As a self-confessed 'superficial' person, his understanding of women can be boiled down to AMC and Erica Kane having a catfight with Maria.

All of this kind of goes against the stereotype surrounding the bond between females and gay men. On TV, gay men of the "yas kween" finger-snapping variety are meant to be women's confidants, 'her gays' who understand her in a way the straight male doesn't. And who do her hair & makeup & wardrobe because all gays have unerringly great style, right? The bond is reduced to the purely superficial, like she is their living doll and they are her pets. It is perhaps long overdue for that stereotype to be put to the wayside because it feels very SATC circa 2003-ish. People currently seem to be trying to push against archetypes and start treating people on individual terms.

I think that Kathy bought into the stereotype of 'my gays will always have my back.' It is her target demo after all, and maybe she felt she would have a long career because of that fanbase. Unfortunately for her, nobody conforms to a stereotype all of the time. And most people won't have your back when they don't necessarily agree with something you did. Anderson and Andy distanced themselves from her after the Trump's Head debacle. KG made a decision to do that all on her own. I understand she is desperate over losing a lot of her livelihood. I understand she is hurt about Anderson Cooper, as she felt he was her friend. However, if he didn't like what he saw from her, why shouldn't he say so? Even the stuff against Andy, while probably true, seems petty -- his shade of her at LAX was infantile and imo not worth getting into a tizz about. Let's not forget that when they were copacetic, she was pretty supportive of him, Bravo and the RH shows.

Andy has let his own fame go to his head, though. I sometimes feel like his own implosion is imminent.

After watching this, I can't help but to wonder WTF?  Why don't you drive the poor dog to the nearest vet instead of posting shock video on social media of the dog having a seizure, and crying that the vet is too far away and your daughter is watching this... now you have millions of daughters potentially watching the same thing?  Just drive the dog to the f'ing vet?  I'm sorry, but does anyone else find this odd?  I know it's hard and at times you may feel helpless in emergencies, but if you're able to make snapchat videos of the ordeal, then I would imagine you're capable of calling a vet or driving 40 minutes.  She complains about the vet being too far away, but like, what else can you do Bethenny?

    http://www.tmz.com/2017/10/29/bethenny-frankel-put-her-dog-down-cookie-45-minute-seizure-vet/

On another note, IG is showing that NYC is filming again with Ramona and Sonja.

Yes, I found it odd, because my first instinct when my dog is in convulsions is not to film it for social media. My first instinct would be to either go on Google Maps and type in "vet", or call the local operator. However, once when i had a kitchen leak, i did jump on a WhatsApp chat i am on and asked the participants what to do, lol.

I also do not live my entire life on social media. Bethenny is on there multiple times a day; part of it is cultivating her own personal brand, but part of it is actually living a life there, interacting with people constantly. I am going to give Bethenny the benefit of the doubt even though I don't quite understand her actions. She is very volatile emotionally, and super dramatic. Social media is her platform, akin to opening her front door and interacting with passers by on the street. She was in a stressful, panic stricken moment and went with her first instinct (social media! My followers!) in the hope that somebody would reach out and give the right advice. I wouldn't know what I would do if the dog I loved for almost 20 years was dying like this. I also don't know what I would do if I didn't have close family or friends, which Bethenny does not seem to have. Only paid employees. So in a way, social media is her only way of having some kind of 'friendship circle.'

    Wow. This piping hot tea!

KG has nothing to lose. She feels her career has been destroyed, and her former friends did not stand up for her. This includes her former bestie Anderson Cooper, and Andy Cohen.

Does anybody doubt this about Andy? I don't. And right now with Harvey Weinstein having been momentarily toppled from his perch, KG perhaps feels she has momentum on her side when it comes to naming names in the business. But this may make her unhireable, sadly. Hollywood as we know has a creepy code of silence. Moreover, Bravo are so invested in Andy (for all intents and purposes he is the face of Bravo) that I'm not sure they will dismiss him for this coke allegation. Not unless he has powerful enemies within Bravo and NBC/Universal. Still, this should give Andy some pause for thought. The only reason Kathy went gonzo on social media was because TMZ posted Andy coming out of LAX today and being asked about Kathy Griffin. He was shady and pulled an "I don't know ha" and that is what triggered KG's ire. Hell hath no fury...

I read a comment somewhere wishing that Joan Rivers was alive in order to counsel and guide Kathy with all this. I wish for Kathy's sake she was.

    Exactly.

She announced it today to ensure her spot next season and to try and disarm Vicki at the reunion. However, Vicki will still be a step of Shannon because all she has to say is, "I told you so." This season has done nothing but verify all Vicki said at the reunion last year.

I'm sure Shannon will manage to blame Vicki for the dissolution of her marriage, too. "It couldn't withstand all the lies and vicious rumours that Vicki Gunvalson put out there!"
