5939 - Phyllis crashes Paul and Christine's honeymoon (1996)
4305 - I'm thinking this is a Katherine/Marge episode from 1990
7917 and 7918 - these are from 2004 as that year featured Y&R's 8000th episode

Are we surprised by the outcome of the rewrite of Cliff's death?
Thursday is the last new episode before the classics begin. Hoping for some 1980s episodes thrown in.

Series finale tonight. Empire had a great run despite everything.

@DRW50 Thanks for posting that video.
With everything that's been going on, I've been cooking a lot more at home. In the last month, I've used half my freezer items and used a good amount of my cupboard and fridge items. I don't trust drive thrus, take out, delivery right now, although I admit I miss McDonald's, Starbucks, pizza, Chinese food, sushi.

Joshua Morrow.....cant act and all his pairings are dull and boring.
OMG I totally forgot about JM earlier in this thread LOL. His whole overgrown frat boy persona doesn't help either.

Wow, even upscale retailers aren't immune. With Neiman Marcus struggling, I wonder what the future holds for their fellow upscale department stores Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue. I consider Macy's more mid-tier; below the upscale department stores but ahead of JC Penney/Sears.

By 1991 though we weirdly had Jill and Katherine using each other as sounding boards in their arguments though.
I think that was because of the MTS/JC beef at the time. Notice how Nikki and Katherine were totally absent from each other's lives in the early 1990s when they both went through some heavy stuff (Nikki losing two children and her substance abuse, Katherine's cancer scare).

Maeve, Jordan and Bryan - I can't wait.
Bryan Buffington was so little and cute when I watched GL live. I can't believe he turned 40 earlier this month. Yikes, where has the time gone.

Kimberly Simms was the only Mindy I saw live; the two after her I saw online. I've often wondered what happened to her acting career. Her name was mentioned in the soap press as a potential recast for some big roles in the mid-1990s (Jennifer on Days, Ashley on Y&R, Vicky on Another World) but nothing ever came of it.

#5939 could be where Phyllis crashes Paul and Christine's honeymoon.

How has it been 11 years and these people still look the same. My god. Soaps stars have great genetics it seems.
It's a combo of good genetics, good health, good skin care, and good plastic surgery.

Does anyone know how old Bill Jr. is? Never seen a birth year for him but I’d wager he’s probably 19-21 in this picture given the Bells were married in 1954.Years ago there was a 1968 episode of Lee Bell's Chicago talk show online. She mentioned her two sons, 6 year old Billy and 4 year old Bradley, and that she was expecting a baby near Christmas. The baby as we all know was Lauralee. So in that picture Bill Jr. would be about 15 or 16, Bradley would be about 13 or 14, and Lauralee would be about 8 or 9.

Drake cements his record as the Canadian artist with most #1s on the Billboard Hot 100.
Drake is also the 8th artist not from the United States to reach 7 #1s on the Billboard Hot 100. He and Phil Collins each have 7 #1s, and the artists not from the United States with 8 or more #1s are The Beatles (20), Rihanna (14), The Bee Gees (9), Elton John (9), The Rolling Stones (8), and George Michael (8).

The constant attempts at forcing Nicholas into that role is laughable. It does not suit him.
That's because Nick is an overgrown frat boy. I don't know how much of that is due to the writing or to Joshua Morrow's acting.

And how old should Summer be right now? I'm thinking 15, maybe? Wasnt she conceived when Nick cheated on Sharon with Phyllis?
Summer was born in 2006, so her real time age in 2020 would be 14. She went from toddler to elementary school aged around 2009, then to teenager around 2012.

Yeah Jill is pregnant with Billy. He’s had some Days of our Lives SORASING. He comes across as older than Victoria at this point.
1990s big SORAS were Victoria, Nick, Billy. Victoria and Nick age normally until 1990. Victoria goes from elementary school aged to high school aged. Nick is SORASed twice, from toddler to elementary school aged, then to high school aged. In real time Victoria and Nick are 6 years apart but the castings of Heather Tom and John Alden-Nelson made them about 8 years apart, and Joshua Morrow's casting made them 2 years apart even though Joshua Morrow is older than Heather Tom. Billy born in 1993 ages normally until 1998, then returns in 1999 as a teenager. So the real time ages of Victoria, Nick, and Billy in 2020 would be 38, 32, 27.
Oddly enough Melissa Ordway and Mark Grossman are not that far off age-wise from Victoria and Nick's real time ages.

I'm actually more excited about the Friday classics than the current episodes
Can't wait to see what's unearthed next week.

KSJ was so freakin’ hot. He got overshadowed by Shemar.
I think almost every Black soap actor in the 1990s got overshadowed by Shemar. What happened to the careers of Dondre T. Whitfield, Monti Sharp, Keith Hamilton Cobb, Kevin Mambo, Peter Parros, Jason George. None of them really had the same degree of daytime and post-daytime success as Shemar.

What's the story behind Heather Tom leaving YR? Was she fired or did she want to go to BB?
There was a 4 year gap between Y&R and B&B. By this fall, Heather Tom will have played Katie just as long as she played Victoria (13 years).

I think Drake is going to be the next artist to reach 10 #1s on the Billboard Hot 100, unless Bruno Mars or Katy Perry have monster hits, or Usher has a massive comeback.

LOL Zim plugging her son's show. Animal Kingdom: The hit drama in which two ex-soap kids bugger each other.
OMG I just realized that Kim Zimmer was pregnant with Jake Weary when Reva was pregnant with Shayne. I was watching GL live when I could in the late 1980s/early 1990s. I feel really old now

Josh Griffith needs to go.
At this point, I would take Lauralee Bell as head writer. Why haven't the Bell children stepped up to protect their parents' greatest creation?

I looked on Global's schedule. The next Repeat they are apparently showing is episode #5,075 which is March 23, 1993!
This episode was part of the 20th anniversary week, March 22-26, 1993. The big events I remember from March 1993 were Neil and Dru's wedding at the Chancellor estate and Jill finding out she was pregnant with Billy.

Maureen looks amazing. She has not aged.
I can't believe Maureen Garrett is almost 72 . With her being on the west coast, why hasn't one of the remaining shows tried to cast her? I would love to see Maureen playing a grande dame diva.

Count me in as another Maureen Garrett fan. I thought she was one of the most beautiful women on daytime in the 1990s.

I grew up in a suburban area and a big adventure for me was going to the big city downtown and visiting the flagship locations of major department stores. There was something so glamorous about the cosmetic/skin care counters and the clothing/shoes/purses sections in the downtown stores that you didn't experience in the suburb mall locations.
