  1. I had attempted to watch today’s episode on Peacock but i kept receiving a strange HDCP Error detected message on screen while the audio played in the background. I have never received a message on my Riki like that before and wasn’t happening to other things I could watch. Very strange
  2. I saw @te. answered the questions already but I wasn’t expecting Jasper to come back at all or care about what his uncle did since when he appeared earlier in the season to be very disinterested/disengaged. I am guessing that since Sam turned down Ryan’s proposition that is going to lead the way for a reunion with Steven, who’s rumored to be in the finale but I haven’t seen that confirmed yet. Graham’s voice did a change a bit I wish we did have a Season 6 to explore that more further as him being the new majordomo but oh well.
  3. Katie is such a massive hypocrite….she was the nosy one who stuck herself in Ridge & Caroline’s affairs and revealed the truth about Douglas’ paternity herself. Had she had just stayed silent a lot of this wouldn’t been happening LOL.
  4. I honestly don’t think Griffith knows what to write anymore except same old convoluted Newman drama. Talk about a total burnout. I except Faith will be back on screen later but as for Moses, maybe a throwaway mention by Devon or something.
  5. LOL. Two things that boggle my my mind: 1) Last year Faith was only supposed to be 14/15 (or roughly AAL’s real age) as it was said Faith was the same age as Cassie when she died during her brief underage drinking story with bullies and friends that we barely, if ever saw. Now a year later she’s off to college? Doesn’t make any sense at all and missed out on the teen stories that Colleen, Lily, and even Summer got back in the day. 2) Faith talked about how excited she was to be going to college with Moses, yet there has not been a single mention from either Lily, Devon, and/or Nate. I know I know I shouldn’t be surprised but it would be a nice family moment if they all gave a pep talk to Moses about how proud Neil would be while Moses tells Nate & Devon to behave while he’s away or something. Instead, nothing. Nothing at all. Shameful.
  6. LOL good point. I mean Ridge and Brooke had their own trashy “high on prescription cough syrup” sex story, Oliver and Brooke, Brooke and Thomas and the aphrodisiac berries, Quinn’s Adam & Eve roleplay etc. Somehow all the crimes Taylor, Ridge, Bill and Quinn all committed are all swept up under the rug. LOL.
  7. The season just never found any momentum after the Rita caper ended and Alexis was freed from jail. The stuff with Ben Carrington could have been interesting but played out too much like a sitcom instead. Culhane’s relationship with the dead mobster’s wife got dropped? Not too mention playing out on a Friday night in summer with this season having ridiculously lengthy breaks in between each batch in between also killed the momentum for myself. Btw, the final episode airdate is 9/16 with the final episode appropriately titled “Catch 22”, a nice nod to the original.
  8. Y&R should do what B&B did for their 50th and go back to their 1988-99 style opening credits at the very least.
  9. What I hated most about that story was even though Ridge was pretty much punishing Thomas, we had a very nosy Katie randomly feel bad that Thomas was cut out of Douglas’ life at the time, followed by Thomas & Caroline being uncomfortably pushed together to parent Douglas together at the expenses of both characters (Caroline faking a terminal illness, Thomas abruptly dumping Sally for a woman he didn’t love at all). Thudley’s logic sucks.
  10. If only Thomas had gotten his happily ever after with Vinny! 😭😭😭
  11. Thomas has had a long unsavory history now for some time. He put a car bomb in Rick’s car and then a couple years later shoved Rick out a window. He raped Caroline resulting in her pregnancy. He ran Emma off the road, bullied his son, teamed up with Quinn, faked his death etc. More recently he briefly covered for Sheila which hasn’t come back up yet. Thomas is a very unstable person I wouldn’t trust him alone with Douglas again.
  12. I hadn’t seen this until now but thanks for the update. I always did wonder how Frons reacted to the Chew being cancelled after he talked it up and what Susan Lucci said about him in her book. He hasn’t worked in television since definitely not the legacy he was hoping for I have to assume.
  13. LOL! Since Thudley can give finally give Hope/Liam/Steffy a rest now that he finally has Taylor/Ridge/Brooke fired up again. But he still needs to have something for his pet Liam and Hope to have drama again. Question is will the Hope doll make a comeback? 🤣
  14. I actually thought about a Shemar pop-up but only for him to tell Devon and Nate how much they remind him and Neil bickering….only for Lily to tell us what a wonderful offscreen visit she had with Uncle Malcolm and his famous sandwiches to provide clarity to her
  15. Fan favorite appearances? Let me guess: Esther, Jill, and Nina all move back into the Chancellor Mansion and only appear bimonthly to remind us they live in the Chancellor home together with Chance and Abby, who marvel at how well all three women get along well together. Christine appears for 30 seconds to casually mention to Nina her Paul are going off to visit her nephew Scott. JT and Mac (Kelly Kruger) visit for the holidays and everyone is so happy JT is his old self again and all is forgiven. Traci and Ashley have recurring dreams about Brad. Meanwhile Theo returns to pay the Abbotts a friendly visit on the anniversary of Dina’s passing. All is forgiven. Victor and Nikki realize their anniversary is coming up (see 40th anniversary lol) so they throw a big party. At the end of the episode Danny sings the lyrics of Nadia Theme with Leslie Brooks on the piano. Did I miss anything? 😂
  16. . It’s been a long time since I had seen those Fee clips I’m inspired to dig them up now lol. PS thanks @BoldRestless I had seen the article in full posted on a rival message board but didn’t feel comfortable linking to that board directly.
  17. You’re welcome. The whole Ashland story was a big waste of talent. I was a bit puzzled by the glamour bit for Fee, although I am baffled overall why she ended up on this list at all.
  18. Sure thing, here’s was the author had to say about both actually: “When Richard Burgi was fired for “naively and inadvertently” breaking health protocols, Y&R jumped at the chance to recast the role with Guiding Light alum Robert Newman. However, they should’ve looked before they leaped! Although Newman’s energy was refreshing in the beginning, bringing out the more human side of the Locke-Ness Monster, he lacked the quiet menace that Burgi brought to the role. Ashland’s character was gradually written into a corner, with the once successful businessman now a scorned, penniless lover. And while Newman played that desperation well, it’s because as revealed in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest that he was eager to get off the show himself!” For Fee: “The role of Jill Abbott has been played by many actresses over the years, and most fans can agree that the original Jill (Brenda Dickson) and current Jill (Jess Walton) have led the pack when it comes to this character. One “Jill” recast that didn’t quite shine was Melinda Fee, who jumped into the part for a little while in 1984. Fee was a good actress, but she simply lacked the fire and glamour that is necessary for the role of Jill during her short guest stint.”
  19. I wasn’t quite sure where to put this so I’m creating a new topic. Randomly @DRW50 this list has poor Melinda Fee on here of all people. Let me know if anyone wants to read the full write-ups. Note that even though Tognoni made it as #1 the author was much kinder towards her than some of the others on the list. 12. Shari Shattuck as Ashley 11. Heidi Mark as Sharon 10. Scott Seymour as Billy 9. Lachlan Buchanan as Kyle 8. Robert Newman as Ashland 7. Melinda Fee as Jill 6. Darius McCrary as Malcolm 5. Reprised David Tom as Billy in 2014 4. Burgess Jenkins as Billy 3. Amelia Heinle as Victoria 2. Melissa Ordway as Abby 1. Gina Tognoni as Phyllis
  20. Now the time to start turning Chelsea into Veronica Landers 2.0. That way when she kills off both Kevin and Chloe for the 50th we can start the celebration with a bang 😉
  21. The details of St. John’s character are very murky at best. I am not sure about whether Audra is long term or not except her first air date is later in the month on 9/23. There’s some speculation she’s coming for either Kyle or Devon depending on what company she is coming to work for lol: https://www.soapcentral.com/young-and-restless/news/2022/0816-zuleyka-silver-joins-yr-in-the-role-of-a-new-high-powered-executive.php
  22. Lol if anyone cares: Phyllis and Nikki’s wicked plan against Diane goes into motion, and it appears to be a home run at first! Things get messy fast when it blows up in their faces as a scandal erupts causing a ripple affect! Victor and Chance are haunted when the truth of Ashland Locke’s death rears it’s ugly head once more! Will Adam have the final laugh? The truth of Johnny’s maternity comes bubbling to the surface causing chaos between Billy, Lily, Chelsea and Victoria! Will Billy be forced to choose between the three women? Jack will give Kyle some bad news, leading for Kyle to start keeping secrets! A mysterious male figure returns to Genoa City with many surprising connections including to Sharon, Diane, and Chelsea! Nick and Sally become very intrigued with each other….will they or won’t they? Elena is horrified to see a new side to Nate, much to Imani’s delight! High powered executive Audra Charles makes a big splash when she arrives in Genoa City, and sets her sights on a man who is not single! Tessa and Mariah will face their biggest obstacle yet as they look to expand their family. B&B: The war is on as Taylor and Steffy vow to destroy “Bridge” once and for all! Ridge will make a shocking choice! Liam will find himself in the untenable position of being peacekeeper but will question Steffy’s motives along with Finn! Bill and Li grow closer but the threat of Sheila looms large! Carter bonds with Paris again, who also wants to bond with Zende. Finn finds himself in imminent danger when he befriends Deacon’s new lady “Lina”!
  23. Today’s paint fight between Taylor and Brooke also felt like two minutes away from turning into a lesbian porn film.
  24. Hope is soooooo dumb🫠
  25. Thinking back I don’t remember how Royce actually left town although I recall how Royce actually left although I do remember it’s not long after he met Samantha in the spring of 1994. Craig had came back to Oakdale after he cheated on Sierra or something back in Montega. He was involved with Emily first and then Samantha until Sierra came back in late 1994, the pair reconciled and left Oakdale again in early 1995. But yes as mentioned above the story really went by too fast and I loved Mary Kay Adams so Neal’s murder surprised me. ATWT was in a state of transition and it was obvious that Marland’s successors just couldn’t handle the huge ensemble effectively. Last time I had watched 1994 ATWT a few years back on YouTube I noticed a lot of random details that I didn’t before like Monica Lawrence of all people coming back randomly to help Cal and Connor or Duncan & Shannon going on a treasure hunt after the missing Scott. Yikes.
