I know it's been said here that HBS was actually in talks to return when OLTL came calling with the role of Nora. I, for one, think HBS probably would've been treated as shabbily by TPTB in ATWT's latter years as she was by OLTL after a certain point.

Frankly, that's tough to say. If her time at ATWT was/is any indication, I think MEB might have shifted AW's focus even more on younger and younger characters to the detriment of veteran cast members.

It kinda makes sense. Viewers would have been left wondering all summer: "Did Gary die?" It also might explain why the eventual season finale was more action-heavy than KNOTS' season finales had been up to that point.

If what happens on Election Day holds true to that prediction, then Kamala Harris is definitely on track to defeat Donald Trump and defeat him SOUNDLY, in such a way that local election boards will be hard-pressed to contest or reject without serious pushback from voters. (To me, it's important that we defeat him so that it can't be argued that the election was "rigged.")
