  1. That's what I meant. Thank you, @DRW50!
  2. Remember, folks: the original plan was for Kelly and Nola to hook up eventually, but the chemistry between Lisa Brown and Michael Tylo caused Douglas Marland to change his mind and have Nola end up with Quint instead.
  3. I know it's been said here that HBS was actually in talks to return when OLTL came calling with the role of Nora. I, for one, think HBS probably would've been treated as shabbily by TPTB in ATWT's latter years as she was by OLTL after a certain point.
  4. Frankly, that's tough to say. If her time at ATWT was/is any indication, I think MEB might have shifted AW's focus even more on younger and younger characters to the detriment of veteran cast members.
  5. It kinda makes sense. Viewers would have been left wondering all summer: "Did Gary die?" It also might explain why the eventual season finale was more action-heavy than KNOTS' season finales had been up to that point.
  6. Oh, no. Just what this country needed: another "battle of the sexes," lol.
  7. Pretty much what you'd expect: that she was arrogant and thought she was worth more to the show (and to MTV) than she actually was.
  8. I mean, I've heard horror stories about KW going back to "Remote Control" on MTV, lol.
  9. Does Kari Wuhrer get along with anyone?
  10. Thom Racina told that story once on some podcast. The photo was of Gloria Monty.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if much of Lisa Hartman's musical performances are edited out.
  12. After Team Trump got nailed for playing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" at their last rally, Eric Swalwell went on X to say he "believes" there's a saboteur working on their campaign. I'm starting to think he might be onto something there (even if he wasn't entirely serious). Exactly. As I've said on multiple occasions, White America looked at Barack Obama and realized an existential threat. To his supporters, therefore, Donald Trump represents their last stab at relevance in a country where their dominance is on the wane. Even if, statistically speaking, white people will soon be in the minority, they want to ensure that their power over all our lives will be felt for generations to come.
  13. I think so. By the time the lawsuits were settled and the Dobsons were allowed back onto the set, I think cancellation was all but guaranteed, despite Bridget's insistence that they would need two years to get the show back into shape.
  14. Oh, I will be over the frigging MOON if Plex airs "Homefront." Everything the Lechowicks did wrong on KNOTS, they did right on "Homefront."
  15. Robert Altman and Michael Ritchie couldn't have conjured up a scenario more comically absurd than that "rally." All you needed was Miss Azalea Festival tap dancing and twirling her baton to "Stars and Stripes Forever."
  16. RFK Jr. knows his campaign is DOA, so now he's trying to leverage his base for a job. If Team Kamala turns him down, I've no doubt he'll go to Team Trump next. That man has turned out to be a HUGE disappointment, and that's saying something for a Kennedy, lol.
  17. "They're going to make D.C. and Puerto Rico states!" is right up there with "They're coming for your guns!" in the phantom fears department.
  18. Not really. There were parts of it that I liked - mostly anything to do with Sally or Stephanie - but overall, I thought the acting was atrocious and the storylines watered-down Y&R.
  19. Just what the NYT loves: evidence to suggest that the Dems are "in disarray." Thanks, @wonderwoman1951!
  20. If what happens on Election Day holds true to that prediction, then Kamala Harris is definitely on track to defeat Donald Trump and defeat him SOUNDLY, in such a way that local election boards will be hard-pressed to contest or reject without serious pushback from voters. (To me, it's important that we defeat him so that it can't be argued that the election was "rigged.")
  21. Although I question the inclusions of B&B and PASSIONS - one of which, I'd swap with GENERATIONS - it's really not a bad list. (I mean, we have to be realistic: no one's gonna include LOL, LIAMST or SS, lol).
  22. CC always struck me as toxic and high maintenance and not really worth the trouble of hiring.
  23. Yeah, I'll dip in when I can, but I'm not going to sit and binge watch KL 24/7 either, lol.
  24. I think I read somewhere that Barbara and John were briefly involved. Did they reference their earlier relationship at all when they hooked up in the '90s and had Johnny?
