  1. Apparently, she played a murder victim with bad taste in skirts.
  2. The role was tailor-made for her.
  3. I think it was both. Harding Lemay has said that she believed it was a mistake to do TEXAS and play the softer, more sympathetic side of Iris (they paid her well, but she still felt it was a mistake); and in her infamous interview w/ Michael Logan shortly after leaving GL, she alluded to the fact that she ultimately left TEXAS for the same reason she left GL: she was tired, feeling overworked and angry.
  4. Apropos of nothing: I believe Barba has a "thing" for Carisi. He might insult the guy, but I think that's just his way of covering his real feelings. Trust. Watch.
  5. Sadly, I agree. It isn't that Olivia is incompetent as head of the SVU squad, per se -- because, on the face of it, she isn't. But...I don't know...it still feels to me like she's just filling in until Cragen returns (not happening, I know) or until "One P.P." assigns the new head. Frankly, I wonder whether it's time for MH to leave the show. They have Rollins, Tutuola, Amaro, Barba and now Carisi (who is growing on me, believe it or not). All they'd need is a new SVU head -- preferably someone from one of the other L&O shows -- and they might have a pretty solid program.
  6. Is that the episode where Webber's character falls for a hitchhiker who ends up getting killed (as does he)?
  7. She was also supposed to bear a striking resemblance vocally to Jaclyn Smith -- which I found to be absurd.
  8. As Jon Lovitz would say, "Acting!".
  9. It's a shame AMC killed off Frank and allowed Nancy (and Lisa Wilkinson) to slip through their fingers like that. But...sigh...I'm not surprised.

I'd like to see one co-host who is of Middle Eastern descent and/or a practicing Muslim.

I'd rather have Nicole, I guess, over some blow-up doll Fox News has discarded.
  12. Actually, Amy, it was the other way around. Stacy went undercover as Sammy Jo -- that is, when she wasn't undercover as a fashion model, porn star, prostitute or exotic dancer (...which seemed to happen all in the same episode sometimes...).
  13. KOCO is the ABC affiliate in my neck of the woods.
  14. Yep. Man, it's going to cost Farmers a [!@#$%^&*]-ton of cash to keep J.K. Simmons as their spokesperson.
  15. That's Marc Cherry's writing for you.
  16. That's a great story, Vee. I'm not sure whether I'd want Carrie to return as someone so villainous...and I'd rather see Marcia Cross come aboard as someone related to Holly and Blake (maybe as some long-lost child of Stanley's?)...but on the face of it, yours is a very powerful, riveting story.
  17. To me, that ranks up there with Dwayne and Whitley's wedding on the list of Great Moments in Black TV History.
  18. My choice was the original Sweeney Todd, Mr. Len Cariou.
  19. As do I. Long ago, I had in mind someone to play Alan, but it's way too embarrassing to share now if I haven't already. Besides, these days, I'm of the opinion that no one other than Chris Bernau could have done the part justice. Just as no one other than Beverlee McKinsey could have done Alexandra justic (contrary to what BM herself believed).
  20. Nevermind. I'm just being rambly.
  21. No more than "True Light" was dated. That mess sounded like a theme song for an '80's daytime talk show.
  22. I think if the image of the leaves had been clearer, the opening would have been more beautiful.
