Between the national anthem debacle (to think that there was a time when we would have labelled THAT as un-American), the abuse allegations toward her parent (which fractured her relationship with her sister for awhile, but she has since recanted), the multiple personality claims (that I've NEVER believed), the sudden fascination with all things Iowa and loose meat (that found their way into the show's storylines), the presumed menage a trois with her and Tom's personal assistant (which, not surprisingly, proved to be their marriage's undoing), the ongoing struggles with her show's writers and producers, and all the other, crazy s**t that I'm overlooking...yeah, if the Internet had been around back then, I think it would've committed suicide.

Which is still allowing her to benefit, IMO. Plus, if Roseanne follows through on her threats to fight back, at the very least, she'll probably demand a ridiculously high amount just to keep them from going through with it. Maybe I'm being petty, but I'd rather see them move on than allow her to make one more nickel off her show. Two other points: I'm glad that Michael Fishman is focusing his energies on other, more positive things right now. Whenever life throws you curveballs (HA!), you need to surround yourself with the things that can recharge you both physically and mentally. And yes, Roseanne is falling apart; and no, I have no [!@#$%^&*] to give her. The Khan of the mid-1990's, in fact, is kind of glad to see her receive her comeuppance after all the tabloid hell that she and Tom Arnold subjected everyone to. Shalom, girlfriend, and kick rocks.

Frankly, I can't see how they could continue without Roseanne being compensated financially.

If this were to come to pass, they would HAVE to kill off Roseanne. Just like they had to kill off Edith Bunker on "Archie Bunker's Place" after Jean Stapleton told the producers she wasn't coming back. Otherwise, to paraphrase Carroll O'Connor, if they keep her alive but off the show, viewers will keep asking when she will be back. Plus, I think Roseanne's death might open up new story avenues for all the Connors, with Darlene stepping reluctantly into the role as the family's new matriarch. (I'd also like to see a new love interest for her, but that's neither here nor there.) Yep. There could be complications -- maybe an infection or something that starts in the affected area but soon travels to the bloodstream and eventually the heart. You know, kind of like what happened to that one kid in "A Separate Peace"?

ICAM. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Joss is the kind of feminist who's a feminist because it helps him score better with women. His views on feminism are about as genuine as the vampires and other supernatural creatures he built his career upon. Unfortunately, it feels like it's been eons since his ex-wife's charges against him and revelations of his infidelity were news; and now, they've been forgotten. But, hey, that's life in the fast-paced, never-a-dull-moment, what-did-they-just-say-somebody-hold-my-wig age of Trump. On the one hand, I'm with you. But, OTOH, I kinda see their point. If we start to engage with the other side on their level, very quickly, it'll devolve into the kind of that's-alright-that's-okay-you're-gonna-work-for-US-someday taunting that's best left to high schoolers. Subsequently, all real talk ceases and the pertinent issues that NEED to be addressed get swiped off the table and tossed onto the proverbial floor. (When it comes to things like calling AA's apes, though, there's nothing that needs to be discussed. Racism is racism. Period.)

You know, it's one thing for her to lash out at her former castmates, but this targeting of Black women -- first, Whoopi; then, Ms. Dungey and Michelle Obama (!); and now, Wanda -- just proves EXACTLY why many are shedding no tears over this situation. Oh, and Rosey needs to shut the [!@#$%^&*] up and get the hell off Twitter. Oh, please. Her Jean Randolph gave notice YEARS ago. From the piece: You can’t be like, “Hey, we think [Trump voters are] wrong, so we’re going to shut them out and hopefully they’ll go away.” It doesn’t work like that. We have to understand where people come from and why people feel this way. Listen, I understand where they're coming from and why they feel the way they do. Which is why I feel perfectly fine shutting them out and hoping they'll go away. (IOW: I am sick and tired of people asking others like me to empathize with the average Trump voter. Okay?) Preach!

Yep. You know, I would understand if we Black men and women got together one afternoon and decided never to run for president again. I really would. I agree that Samantha Bee crossed a line, and I am glad she apologized for her error, too. However, calling Ivanka, or any woman, a c**t, while odious, is not the same as suggesting an African-American descended directly from an ape. One is racist, the other is misogynistic.

Once again, Tom Arnold's coming out as a voice of clarity and I feel SO unclean. Maybe Roseanne IS afraid of her own successes. I dunno; and frankly, after everything that's transpired, I don't care. Get help, don't get help, makes no difference to me either way. Just go away, you racist piece of [!@#$%^&*]. Go. Away. This is not the same thing and you know it. You can kindly go away as well.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if that doesn't work, could we at least ask Joan if she were interested? Because, I got a killer way of introducing her onto the show. (You see, it's just like when she made her first appearance on "Dynasty." She steps onto the Connors' front porch from her (off-stage) limo, wearing a similar dress and hat. Everyone's inside the house, peering through the living room windows, wondering who in the world would show up at the Connors in a limousine? She rings the doorbell, the family scrambles to see which one will open the door, Dan says it's HIS house and he'll open HIS door; and when he does, asking who it is, she lifts up her head and it is Alexis -- I mean, it's Ronnie.)

And now I'm wishing once more that they could nab Sandy Duncan to play Dan's sister (or aunt). Or, even better, get Joan Collins to come back as Roseanne's cousin Ronnie.

Well, Rosey, we just wish you had remembered Laurie and John, along with everyone else who worked on your series, before you chose to tweet out your racist garbage. I wouldn't worry about LM or JG, though, or any of the other actors. If nothing else, the revival put them in enough producers' consciences for next pilot season. So, they'll land on their feet quite nicely. You, on the other hand, Rosey, should be worried. Meanwhile: http://deadline.com/2018/05/netflix-abc-roseanne-shade-one-day-at-time-1202400515/

SMH. (I just KNOW that Mama Khan's gonna recite that garbage about Michelle Obama being behind the cancellation the minute she hears it. Fox News and all those yahoos on YouTube have done such a number on her. Frankly, I've come to have little respect for my own mother, which is heartbreaking.) Don't get me wrong, I'll always appreciate the efforts to keep the rest of the cast and crew employed. However, if the rest of the cast were allowed to continue, then it would have to be as a new series, and they would have to play new characters who, in no way, shape or form, resembled anything on "Roseanne." That's because, given Roseanne's temperament, I wouldn't be surprised if their efforts were met with cease-and-desist letters from her and her attorneys. Sort of like how Suzanne Somers' initial efforts to move past "Three's Company" on CBS were stymied by the show's producers, claiming that she and the network were infringing upon their rights to the character of Chrissy Snow.

...Sigh... Well, it was gonna happen, sooner or later: I wonder if he walks into each room, saying "President Donald J. Trump," like Denny Crane used to announce his name on "Boston Legal." Also, the way he refers to himself in the third person, then in the first, makes it sound as if he and "President Donald J. Trump" are two different people. Madness.

She thinks being a "comedienne" gives her a pass to offend everyone in the name of humor. But I can't think of a single comic whom I've admired over the years (save for Eddie Murphy) who ever crossed that line. And that's including Joan Rivers and Richard Pryor.
