I'll bet when Venezuelans heard his threats, they said, collectively, "How da [!@#$%^&*] we get into this!?" Say what you will about ol' Hill -- and I have said and believed plenty -- but I believe, with every fiber of my being, that we would not be right now on the precipice of nuclear war (and quite possibly, the total annihilation of life as we know it) if this woman were behind that desk in the Oval Office.

From the article: The removal of the monuments, [Neo-Nazi Richard Spencer] said, is 'a metaphor for white dispossession and the erasure of our history and culture and identity.' Get it through your head, Mr. Spencer (and everyone who agrees with him): you HAVE no history. You HAVE no culture. You have NO IDENTITY. All you have is a legacy of subjugating other, non-white persons, through means both physical and psychological, in order to survive and assert superiority over the rest of the world. Without that, you would've been extinguished from this planet long ago. Too many folks, and groups like the ACLU, would argue that it violates the First Amendment. Besides, I'm not sure I would want to go down that particular road. To me, the best way to combat the glorification of any form of racism is not through legislation but through education. Simply put, we must teach our young boys and girls, as soon as possible, Not. To hate. Yes, I know, it's pie-in-the-sky thinking. Just call me King Arthur, lol.

I don't like the term "white nationalists." It's too...nice. Call these individuals what they are: "racist pricks." Meanwhile, Trump "can't stop, won't stop" with the rhetoric against North Korea. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the fuse has been lit. Something is about to explode.

I'd believe it. The truth is, the only ones who REALLY take issue with undocumented immigrants in this country are the regulars at Archie Bunker's Place; and since old Mr. Van Ranseleer can't see nuthin', he don't much care either. Obama didn't actively encourage hate, nor did he turn a blind eye to it whenever it reared its ugly head. AFAIC, that alone blasts Trump's orange ass out of the water.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind if Trump asked his supporters to jump off a bridge or cliff. There'd certainly be a lot less stupid people in the world.

I'm with Jane: where, oh where, are the WWC citizens of this country who claimed that all the "illegals" were taking their jobs? Why aren't THEY stepping up to the metaphorical plate in this crisis? You know, the last time White people had crops to harvest and no one to do the harvesting, they ended up capturing and enslaving Africans -- and that was after the Native Americans (or, more specifically, the Native Americans who had managed to survive the many massacres and smallpox outbreaks brought upon them) basically told 'em to go to hell. I could only imagine what lengths White folks will go to THIS time around to get their work done (for them). Oh, and the part of the article that had me ROFL'ing the most? "To make the jobs more attractive, farmers are offering salaries above minimum wage, along with paid time off and 401(k) plans, but even that's not proving enough." Wait, what was that again about part-time employees being outrageous in their expectations of a $12-15 hourly wage?

And yet, compared to Jack Coleman, Corley was like Paul Newman. You think that's bad? Try watching Miss Linda on "The Big Valley." When she IS in an episode, she's usually being abducted and/or held hostage. Or she's being told to stay home -- "that canyon's no place for a woman!" -- while Heath, Nick, and the other Barkley boy run off to rescue Barbara Stanwyck from HER kidnapper of the week.

For the safety of our nation and possibly the world, let's pray their perception of his faculties, or lack thereof, plays at least some part in keeping us all the hell out of nuclear war. (Now if we could just change the nuclear codes without letting Trump know....)

Sounds like a current president that I know. But seriously. People like Lord (and you-know-who) believe that apologies and such show weakness. They'd sooner croak.

Once again, the editors at TIME are trolling our current president, knowing full well a cover like that is sure to provoke his wrath and cause him to fire Kelly just to prove how much he DOESN'T need him.

I hate to seem cruel toward others, but again, they knew Trump was a snake when they brought him in. He never hid the fact that he was an out-and-out bastard who would deceive and evade and contradict his way into the WH. As a matter of fact, he seemed to revel in it. Ergo, if these people and others feel screwed now because they chose to listen to someone who told them only what they wanted to hear, then they have only themselves to blame. They MUST own voting for Trump and everything that decision entailed, just like people like me must own voting third-party or not at all.

Why does that (about Eric Bolling) not surprise me? I'm sure this type of behavior goes on all the time at all the major news networks...but why does it seem as if it happens more frequently at Fox News? I mean, is EVERY guy they hire a misogynist who gets his jollies from sexually harassing women? Is it a job requirement or something?

Anyone else get the impression from the Politico article that the Republican House Intelligence Committee staffers were actually sent to London with the expressed but covert purpose of intimidating Steele?

You could DEFINITELY say the same about Mike Pence. From what I understand, his home state of Indiana detests him; and if not for being Trump's VP pick, his political career would be all but over. (Honestly, if I were Pence, I think I would pray for Trump's impeachment. After all, how ELSE would I ever get to be president?) That's not a bad theory. But you know whose name crossed MY mind for a brief moment before collapsing into laughter and sliding away? Steve Bannon. Don't ask me why. Thank. God. Because that net neutrality business is so damn putrid. But it's a double-edged sword. Yes, his laziness and ineptitude have resulted in very little of his and the GOP's agenda being fulfilled. However, North Korea remains a threat, and I think there's a good chance his let-China-handle-it attitude will result in our being dragged kicking and screaming into war. Dennis says "ALMOST none," which has me wondering, what HAS been enacted? Srsly, has Trump accomplished ANY thing on this agenda?

Girl, you are a mess, lol. See, that's why I'm not entirely convinced Pence isn't in the closet. I think -- and this is just what I think -- he came to the realization that he was gay (or at the very least, bisexual) when he was in college, which was also when he became the gay-hating Christian conservative we know today.
