  1. Jeffrey Epstein is dead, and wouldn't you know? "#ClintonBodyCount" is trending AGAIN on Twitter.
  2. Ana Alicia would be a fantastic addition to just about any primetime drama.
  3. ICYMI: https://www.npr.org/2019/08/07/749243985/mississippi-immigration-raids-net-hundreds-of-workers https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/08/us/iraq-jimmy-aldaoud-deport.html?action=click&module=News&pgtype=Homepage
  4. "Where did Maggie go?" If she's smart, she went offline.
  5. That might've been doable. Acting-wise, Lindsay Frost was more accomplished than Meg Ryan. Nevertheless, I'd be lying if I said Frost didn't leave me feeling cold emotionally whenever I watched her (on ATWT, as well as on other shows). Which is ironic, since MR -- who, IMO, should've stayed on soaps -- couldn't leave ATWT behind fast enough.
  6. Sigh. Here's good ol', reliably racist Fox News, at it again: https://www.vox.com/2019/8/6/20756711/fox-friends-invasion-el-paso-shooting-trump-live-tweets
  7. And that wasn't even acting on their parts! I think Marland was right to see Steve and Betsy as a limited couple (his words, not mine) but not allowing them to leave town together? Their fans deserved a happier ending.
  8. At last! Something "both sides" can agree on, lol!
  9. I don't even recognize her from before!
  10. You are a total savage, @DRW50, and I love you for it.
  11. I definitely agree with Obama that that is what we should be doing. First, though, let's get Trump's speechwriter a freaking map of Ohio.
  12. Well, authorities in Dayton are saying there is no evidence that the shooting there was motivated by racial bias. Yet, the majority of the deceased were minorities. So, I guess you could say the fact that he killed mostly POC was just...what...dumb luck?
  13. Yep, @DRW50 was right: we're never gonna leave the '80's and '90's behind. Because, here we go again with the "Must be the video games they're playing!" b.s.: https://www.vox.com/2019/8/4/20753725/el-paso-dayton-shootings-video-games-gop-mccarthy
  14. You know, when people his age start losing their balance like that, it's a pretty good sign that the end is nigh.
  15. If their goal is at least to make POC scared even to leave their homes, then from where I sit (with one eye peeking through the curtains), they're doing a bang-up job.
  16. IKR? Same goes for Glenn Gordon Caron. He might be a brilliant writer, but he's a lousy show runner.
  17. As far as the GOP and the NRA are concerned, these lunatics are killing all the right people.
  18. It amazes me to know 20 million people watched Steve and Betsy's wedding. Were they really that popular?
  19. I'm literally shocked the security officer who saw him with the gun and the kids didn't shoot him on sight.
  20. Perhaps that's the way to beat back Russian attempts to interfere with our elections. Just sic the Beyhive on the hackers. He couldn't stand the heat, so he got the hell out of the kitchen: https://www.politico.com/story/2019/08/02/trump-rep-ratcliffe-out-of-the-running-to-be-national-intelligence-director-1445150
  21. I shouldn't be laughing about that, but I just can't help myself, lol. Yup!
  22. Same here, DD. You never want to hear news like this about anybody. :(
  23. “It’s a popular show. Michael is loved by our audience,” Kahl said. “Even after these allegations came out, people continued to watch.” Translation: "Michael Weatherly may not be good for women's safety in the workplace -- but he's damn good for CBS!"
  24. Agree.
  25. Ah, yes, the backroom deal. The true grist of the American political system's mill.
