Luna's father must be Jack.  After Finn's comment Poppy lived with them a year before Luna was born.  What's the relevance unless hunky Ted King returns?!

That would certainly help explain the Poppy / Li friction.

Or, they could throw Thorne Forrester a bone and give him another daughter since his other one died and no one ever mentions her.

Wait, is that serious? Nneka's party is about the women helping her unpack?

LOL I'm glad to see everyone else thought the same thing myself and the hubby thought... let us know when the housewarming party is happening, and we'll gladly bring over a bottle of wine. But coming over to help put your drawers in your drawers? Nah sis.

So free labor? If I was Wendy, I'd say F that. This quote from Vulture makes that point that why would Nneka want to invite Wendy into her new home if she was sooo convinced that Wendy and her mom are engaged in shrine work? Isn't she worried about Wendy putting a curse on the new place? As you say, completely creatively bankrupt.

I don't know if reunion has filmed yet, but these HWs (with the exception of Karen) need to be put on notice. Because it is all starting to look like S4 RHONY. At least S4 RHONY was highly watchable!

And we know how S4 RHONY ended -- half the cast was fired. Nneka is the Cindy Barshop of this current enterprise. Gizelle is the Jill. Robyn = Kelly. Poor Wendy may be Alex McCord, I fear, but without the audience love. Ashley is giving 'bare minimum' and should also be on the chopping block. Who is Luann, future FOH? Candiace? Because I'm getting annoyed at her perpetual grumpiness and ultimatums, too. Basically, Bravo needs to break the chokehold that Gizelle and the other two GEBs have over Production because this is what started the downward spiral. As soon as they were able to get rid of Monique (with the help of that female EP who trashed Monique in the Diamonds & Rosé book), they thought they could pull the same trick going forward and get rid of anybody they wanted.

That write-up was spot on about Wendy. And yes, we are in a RHONY Season 4 Reunion moment where an entire couch could and should get the boot. But, as you said, RHONY S4 was still enjoyable, and in comparison, that reunion was lightweight compared to some of the ugliness we've seen from the likes of current Potomac, and previous RHOBH and RHONJ reunions.

LOL...this latter half of Married to Medicine is not gonna be good to Jackie. Her first was CRACKED when she learned where the couple's trip was going to be. Good. She needs to be put to work. Im gonna be here for Sweet Tea coming for her next week.

Heavenly legit is morphing into a Phaedra clone. She is even letting Phaedra dress her down to the wig

Oh Heavenly Lord don't go down that route. You shine brightly enough as your own person.  Phaedra teeters on clown territory.

It's a shame that we most likely won't see Alex McCord on RHUGT all because of Brandi.

With that said, Bravo/Peacock were stupid enough to bring her back again and to supply her with alcohol.. so they deserve to get sued.

Agreed; I definitely wanted to see Alex and Camille.  But this will be scrapped for sure.

Sutton fainted at he reunion? Oh my, our southern belle is the Beverly Hills gift that keeps on giving. Haters stay pressed.

Just leaving this slice of pure greatness here. Now THIS is how you bring real receipts to a reunion. Nobody has topped this unmasking, this deliverance of just desserts, ever, and it is making me miss Monique on RHOP. God knows the show needs her right now.

I literally just watched this on X, with people chattering about how you do it right. Monique's was epic. I wish she could return.

Is RHOP about to be rebooted?  The EP just got fired allegedly and Essence put RHOP/Bravo on blast for the current season. I think they are gonna try and retool it for the next season

Well I learned something new today. The "DMV" has a different meaning for people living in a certain region of the country. Cute. Pardon my Midwestern ignorance.

I think they're going to try to replace the dead weight (now, which castmembers are the dead weight can be debated). It's kinda nuts there's EIGHT full-time housewives and I could ditch half of them.

Meanwhile, are there whispers as to which show is coming back next? I would think New Jersey is up to bat. However, since Bravo is taking their sweet time on some shows (i.e. Atlanta), it might be best for them to spread 'em out, instead of airing 4 franchises at the same time.

Peoples homes reflect someone's tastes and personality.

The Horton house, Roman/Marlena's house, Dimera mansion and Marlena's penthouse had distinctive furnishings that showed a part of the dwellers personality.

So true, and it's a lost aspect of nearly all the soaps now with their limited budgets and characters living in and out of hotel rooms.

It makes it all the more jarring when couples break up and they leave their dwellings with one single suitcase and all the furniture and chachkis are left behind for the next occupant.

The only way I see her coming back is if the show is so dreadful that Bravo pleads for her to return. And I totally see that happening as the group of Meredith, Heather, Whitney, Lisa, and Angie cannot carry the show. All of them are supporting characters in the ensemble and none of them have lead potential like Mary, Jen, or Monica.

Well now, Mary isn't a lead, but yes, I don't think the core 4 + Angie can do it alone.

As for Monica/Bravo, they DO want her to come back. No one's looking to clean their hands except for the cast. Bravo was hoping she'd plead her case at the reunion but only made it worse. But make no mistake, they want her back in some capacity someway, somehow. This whole bombshell finally put SLC on the map, with Heather's well-rehearsed monologue hitting mainstream.

I have a question: Let's say that Nikki Haley keeps going through a few more primaries and then finally drops out. Then, a few weeks later, Trump collapses and dies. What will happen then? Will they (the GOP) have to start the whole process from scratch?

Well, firstly, we'd have a weeklong national mourning celebration.  I keep hoping for the day he has a collapse onstage and takes a fatal tumble. I'd much rather he go out that way versus someone taking him out, because then the crazy rightwingers and conspiracy theorists will go on a tirade and kill any "evil liberal" they come in contact with.

As weak as it was, I actually thought last night's Potomac was one of the better episode this season specifically bc there wasnt much fighting. I cant do the pettiness and stupid drama anymore. Its not fun or enjoyable

I agree that there needs to be a break from the endless petty dinner fights, week after week.

I will say though that Married to Medicine does it better. Last night's M2M was also a break from the drama, and a focus on their individual lives, but the women on that show are just... more interesting. Watching these shows back to back there was a definite contrast between these shows that were both in a lull between the blow-ups; Potomac's personal lives just don't add up to much substance.

If I am not mistaken though, in the Latino community, don't you have your mother and father's surnames? Someone plz correct me if I am wrong.

But yes, Monica was lying like a rug, but she's no different than the others on the sofa, who lie all the time too. Lisa sat there and lied about the Mormon church as I aforementioned. Heather is lying about knowing about Reality VonTease long ago. Meredith is lying about using her litigation skills to put her costars in precarious situations. Angie is lying about her husband (sorry, I believe the rumors). Monica is amongst good company.

I mean... yeah. LOL They're all liars. And I'll add a +1 to the Angie hubby rumor since it was apparently circulating all over SLC for the last couple decades, thus hardly a shocker today (albeit, on camera, but still)

Very interesting to see how the total viewers differs from the actual Nielsen ratings. Makes me wonder how the charts year-to-year would look if they just showed total viewers; would there be the same drastic drop-off over the decades pre-00s?

I thought the same thing; would be awesome to see those types of comparison charts.

Agreed. Flopmarie and Nneka are dreadful additions. Potomac hasn't had luck adding cast members - I don't consider either of Mia or Wendy a success.

100%. I feel like Wendy is the least worst, but mostly I feel sorry because she is unfairly targeted by the GEB's. But yeah, Monique and Candiace have been the only good additions to this cast.

Potomac and SLC always seem to have the most shallow pools of talent to choose from.

Don't forget Angie! We got 3 flop housewives this fall and its so sad having to watch them

But it's so easy to :)

But yeah Annemarie (to be honest, I've been calling her Anna Maria, so I can't even get the name right) and Nneka both came in as total weaksauce with nothing to really establish themselves individually, and then they pick on one castmember to have some random beef with that doesn't land at all. Especially Annemarie.

  15. Being labeled a Karen isn’t about race. It’s about their feelings of entitlement and privilege, and when their feelings of entitlement are challenged, they play victim.

I’ve seen black women, Korean women, and Hispanic women labeled as a Karen on my own experience alone.

I dont think she lied.  She would have had tp have had multiple correspondence with production, especially since they moved forwad with her. Im not convinced that she never wrote the stuff that she mentioned at some point. The only showed one email and to me that doesnt really prove anything

Im with @NothinButAttitude. The reunion was kinda boring other than the parts that focused on Monica. She gathered the women and came prepared. Im interested in seeing how Bravo proceeds with her bc everyone is justified in not wanting her around but she is GOOD tv and saved a dying show. The little drama that the other women have amongst themselves is just petty and not interesting. Monica is a true force multiplier and I equat her to Tamra and Kenya, both of whom completely changed the game on their respective shows. She activates people and there is a genuine reason for the dislike. I need more of her

On one hand, I agree with @DaytimeFan regarding the whole ick factor of it all. Particularly the cyber "bullying" through an Instagram account. On the other hand, her hustle (to the extremes, befriending/working for Jen Shah) to get on this show and be a *star* is nothing out of the ordinary. I found it ridiculous how Heather/Lisa/Angie were ridiculing her for trying to get on the show when they ALL did it and continue to go the extra mile to maintain their status as a reality TV figure.

And I have to agree with you that the majority of all the other arguments and issues this season were the usual petty squabbles between the core four that's already been done for the last 3 years. Again, they came out strong their first season. There was a long break between filming the 1st season versus when it aired (presumably when Monica first met Jen but didn't know of her RHOSLC status...?), and they all got pumped up on their own hype and the social media petty stuff after Season 1 aired, and then come Season 2, all the ups and downs of people liking/hating/forgiving/hating again cycle began. When Bravo rolled that clip package last night of all the different fights amongst the women, it was pretty telling that they showed ALL the arguments in ONE clip package, versus dissecting each issue individually. None of them were really that deep.

Meanwhile, I've never taken a liking to Angie, who does come off thirstier to be there, and she's lucky the talent pool in SLC is shallow, because she could easily be written out next season with no one batting an eye.

    BH:

@Antoyne I'm in agreement with you. The microaggressions and tone deafness (i.e. the comments about her staff, etc.) have built up to this.

One general comment about all housewives seasons this year. Most seasons now feel a lot more fake than before... I think because of the dying format and low ratings year to year... the producers have clearly told these women to take the drama to another level. Back in the day a whole season could be interesting with just one feud... now it's chaos with all this over-reacting drama and hysteria... it all feels so up and down, up and down and artificial. Beverly Hills has been having the fakest, most scripted season yet. Kyle Richards should get a writing credit this year.

    Agreed.

At this point, I consider these to be improvised soap operas.  The producers/headwriters come up with ideas and have their breakdown writers/producers flesh out the individual arcs, and then the on-air talent / actors / Housewives are responsible for fleshing out the dialogue (i.e. the scriptwriters).  The producers tell them what, when, where, who they're filming with, and give them bullet points of topics to discuss (other castmates; their marriage woes; sketchy businesses; their beef with others, etc.), and will coach them on the side with topics to bring up as they're filming their 987th recreation of the next "Dinner Party From Hell." That's why I always give a great big Anderson Cooper eyeroll whenever someone brings up a topic in front of everyone that clearly makes everyone squirm or it's something that should really be discussed one-on-one with the individual they're beefing with, because I just know the producers off-camera told them to bring it up.

It's such a tired formula at this point, and it's no wonder they stepped up their game this year by knowingly hiring someone (Monica) who's been lowkey stalking the castmates for years in hopes of joining the show. There's no shame in her game, I guess(?), as so many newbies are just ridiculously thirsty (see the new Danielle on RHONJ, for example) to be the next *STAR*.  But it is starting to come off as icky now, with Bravo going to great lengths for their next November Sweeps twist.

Andy Cohen considers Housewives to be modern day soap operas. As such, their lifespans will be shorter. Real Housewives of Orange County won't be celebrating their 72nd anniversary to match Guiding Light, godwilling.  To equate Housewives to Soaps, I'd say we're in the mid-2000's now; numbers are down and showrunners are scrambling.

Add to that, they're also at a crossroads of keeping their veterans that they've mostly run out of story for, or flood the show with cheaper newbies.

A Whodunnit Murder Mystery is sure to be in the cards for 2025. Or Dissociative Identity Disorder. Or maybe someone's househusband will accidentally get his peen cut off and sewn back on upside down. I vote Joe Gorga. LOL.

That was the drag show I attended - happy to see it got ample airtime! :) It was such a fun time and all the ladies were really enjoying it that night.

Did you spot yourself in the footage?

Agree with all that Karen is the one that helps bring any joy and lightheartedness to this increasingly toxic franchise. Such a shame; Potomac was always the breath of fresh air when the other shows were darker or just blah.
