  1. For my money, Y&R's golden era was 1973-77. It was almost consistently mesmerizing day in, day out.
  2. Cute GIF, Slick Jones! And as always, excellent pictures, YRBB! Personally, while I enjoy many aspects of the Christmas season, I detest the cold and hate trudging through mounds of snow. I long for warm summer fun!
  3. Whoa! I went Christmas shopping today, and the stores are already mobbed. Yuck! Santa is coming in less than a month!
  4. I loved, loved, loved this series and would definitely classify it as a primetime soap. I was so excited when the first two seasons were released on DVD, but alas, sales were not great and it looks like the studio has totally abandoned any plans for additional releases. Episodes from seasons 3-5 are scarce, and many are not available anywhere on the net or among die-hard collectors. Some people search for the Holy Grail; I am hunting down the complete set of FAMILY on disc! That episode about Zeke was truly memorable and quite groundbreaking for its time. I'm glad we at least have that among the episodes on the official season two release. Yep: FAMILY and ST. ELSEWHERE, the only two classic series I am desperate to find!
  5. YRBB, I am happy you approve!
  6. ((Whew!))
  7. I have despised Howarth's portrayal of EVERY role, LOL,
  8. OMG, thank you for this great link!
  9. Are you ready for some football?
  10. I agree. I think that is him.
  11. It would be so nice to see Bob, Kim, Ellen, and Lisa sitting around the Hughes' kitchen table, remembering old times and reliving them via flashbacks. Get on a special presentation like that, CBS!
  12. Paul Rauch: ugh! The Donald Trump of soap opera producers who decimated OLTL and axed so many of its talented cast, turning a once-intelligent adult drama into brain-dead, low-brow camp.
  13. This was LOATHSOME. I was furious that TPTB would be so callous, clueless, and nasty. Fortunately, their next equally brilliant stunt, to have a nun raped by a herd of goats, was rejected by the network. ((Roll eyes)) While the show started to unravel in 1983, and was pretty much unwatchable throughout the rest of the 1980s and then again from the mid-1990s until it was axed, we had from 1937 to 1982 of generally superior entertainment. That in itself is a miracle, and good reason to remember this gem fondly. I miss my show.
  14. Ahhh, seeing the names John Beradino, Emily McLaughlin, and Rachel Ames at the top of the credits makes me somewhat verklempt. Sadly, by this time, McLaughlin was barely used on the show. I miss Steve, Jessie, and Audrey.
  15. In the Soft & Dry commercial? No, I don't believe that is Marsha Clark.
  16. LMAO! Btw, loved the little collection you posted on the previous page. Fun! Don't mention it. When it comes to hot men, I enjoy contributing to the collection of pictures, and watching the package grow.
  17. Yes, he is the "kind" that we all like.
  18. Just some good ol' boys.
  19. I have always wanted to know whatever happened to Trish Stewart, the original Chris Brooks Foster on Y&R. After leaving the soap, she appeared on a few primetime shows but then vanished into the twilight zone. I adored her and wish I knew what happened. Pamela Peters, another original Y&R cast member as Peggy Brooks, seems to have disappeared as well.
  20. Whoa, Monday's babe is MINE!!!!
  21. ! Whether they are coming or going, the men of Daily Hotness are always appreciated.
