  1. Joss is Cyrus' killer? Meh... it's OK, I guess. But this attempt to make her "special" and for Brennan to have seen her as a potential WSB agent is nothing short of laughable. I just can't.
  2. I didn't. Your mileage may vary on that, and I understand if you disagree. I wanted Frank, GH, and yes, even Josh to know that scene didn't work, that it wasn't even close to looking like a married couple in the bedroom. I did not blame Setton. I did not say she's calling the shots on her wardrobe. I merely pointed out the ridiculousness of Brook Lynn wrapped in layers of clothes while Chase was shirtless and in red satin boxers.
  3. I admit I like that music in the Generations open, but I think it really misses the mark in not highlighting the cast.
  4. Huh? I never said it was that serious. The truth is, nothing is "that serious." You posted the CPW open and I said there is no similarity to the open for BTG. That's it. That's my opinion. If you think they're similar, good on you.
  5. This show thinks that makes them appear to have a special concern about the Latin culture.
  6. Respectfully, Josh Swickard does not say he won't do intimacy scenes. He said he won't do gratuitous scenes, and there's a big difference. I have no problem with him having the discussion with the show, but if he's willing to go shirtless in a bedroom scene, he is NOT the problem. I don't see him saying no to a genuine and sincere "love scene" between two married and consenting adults. The problem here is Amanda Setton. If they're going to allow her to enforce her "modesty practice from her religious beliefs," they need to stop writing these scenes entirely.
  7. It was bad. Luna blowing that fan in her face because she was so hot....Jesus, this show. And hearing her and $Bill talk about her growth since she moved in with him....I don't even know what to say.
  8. -- The theme music is just OK to me. I like the first 10 seconds, but not what happens in the rest. -- I like seeing the actors' names, just as I enjoy that on Y&R. BOLD did it years ago but poorly, adding character names with script all over the place and fast-changing cast photos. -- Also like Y&R? Having each cast member in both color AND in black & white. Seems a bit derivative to me. Overall, I wouldn't call it a miss, but it's not a hit, either. Can't help feeling a bit disappointed.
  9. On X, I was just told by a soap podcaster that my comment was "rude and unneccessary" when I said Brook Lynn was ridiculously wrapped in all those layers in a bedroom scene. The podcaster attached a gif that stated "I don't like messy bottoms." So I was out of line for wanting realism in a bedroom scene, but it was OK to call me a messy bottom. Got it. BTW, I did not tag Amanda Setton in my post, although Frank, Josh Swickard, and GH were tagged. I think these people should know when stuff is bad.
  10. Yep. Exactly. Another huge mistake.
  11. Agreed. That character has been on fumes for years, and he's emblematic of Valentini's insistence on holding on to characters/actors for FAR too long. Cyrus has been a caricature since forever. Nope, me either. I'd be sad to see GH, Y&R, or BOLD or DAYS go, but I wouldn't dwell on it. My sadness would be for the genre itself -- saying goodbye to a form of TV that I've really loved. But I also know I'm angry about what's happened to those shows. Look at today's GH. I just started the episode and already I'm angry. Chase is in the bedroom, looking so fine in only red satin boxers, and Brook Lynn walks in like there's no heat in th damn house. She's wrapped in some damn robe that's so thick and covers so much that you cannot see an inch of skin. That is not the daytime I know or want. It's one reason I'm so excited about BTG, which is intent on giving us the steamy and sexy and soapy. GH continues to allow actors to call the shots, and that is disgusting. It hurts the entire show, and I'm sick of it. Amanda Setton should have been fired LONG ago for this bullsh_t, not enabled and indulged. I don't care what happens the rest of the hour. They've already ticked me off.
  12. Agree with you about the vets being paid more and about the cost of filming in L.A. I read the same thing about The overnight crew being gone. Honestly, I'd rather have a cast with fewer high paid veterans than to go without sets being hanged or being so small that everything looks cramped.
  13. No question that these sets are going to make the other soaps look even worse by comparison. Already I'm wondering why BTG has the budget for this yet Y&R does not.
  14. Had to laugh that Finn said he's swamped. We never see him doing anything as a doctor except sitting behind his desk. Zende looks like he's wearing a mumu.
  15. Good show today, although I thought Jeff Korber was over-the-top at times. I just hope we're about done with Cyrus...and with Valentine's Day.
  16. We all know it's important to suspend belief when watching soaps. We've been doing it for years, and sometimes it's OK. It's not OK when it goes on this long. That's when we start listing what's wrong, as you and others have done. That's a sign that this should have ended long ago.
  17. Does DAYS really think we care -- at all -- about Jada and Rafe being together? I know I don't. Exactly. None of it makes any sense.
  18. Brooke to Ridge: "I'm still your Logan. Please come back to me." ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME??? KKL cried as she said those lines. She HAD to be crying because of the complete lack of respect shown her character.
  19. Such a terrible choice, and I have to believe there was a way to avoid this. Huge error. Guy Wilson actually did a good job as Lucky, so I don't blame him. This is on Frank. I think they succeeded in making Aiden look younger, but they also made him look a lot less hot. Agree about the Anna/Jason scenes going on too long. And why was Jason still in handcuffs? Mac with the migraine was played out after the first two scenes with him, too. Chase? I like his voice, so I was OK with the singing, but not with Brook Lynn acting so SHOCKED that he was on stage. Best part of the show for me? Dante and Lulu. I think those scenes worked.
  20. I love the excitement surrounding all of this. Yes, the actors' enthusiasm, and also the excitement and even joy we're all feeling at getting something new. This also extends to production -- the writers, the directors, the executive producer. I can feel their energy and drive in making BTG special. It also reinforces my feeling that head writers need to change on the other soaps -- before their writing becomes staid and boring and lacking that fire. Likewise, an executive producer shouldn't be around "forever." New directors should be brought in to keep things fresh.
  21. Speaking of budget, on yesterday's special, they mentioned using 70s R&B music on the show. I wonder if they're actually going to license real hIts.
  22. Um....I think these writers and producers and cast members know that. They know how important that is. No one is saying that Black history will be the focus of storylines.
  23. I will never NOT love that promo! It's a finger snap for the ages!
