Considering the Baby Rabies this show has, Carly will probably be pregnant with Brennan's kid.

-- Makes little sense that Martin didn't tell Smitty about the added security detail. Who's paying for all this? -- And why is Martin traveling "all over the state" for his campaign? -- Smitty is always working on his "story." What story? What is there to report on the blood plasma theft ring? -- Leslie needs to be dialed down a bit. Every line -- every single line -- is shade or snark or a threat. -- Eva went at Izaiah pretty hard for not defending her to Darlene. Maybe Eva should go after her ridiculous mawmuh just as hard. -- Izaiah said their Sunday family dinners ended up in yelling. I thought the Hawthorne family was pretty calm except for black sheep Izaiah.

They listened to us and gave Shanice a bigger role -- and then sanded down everything we loved about her. The fun, shady gossip is pretty much gone, and we're left with a woman who feels less than and can't stop talking about how she compares to an ex. I absolutely hate it.

I swear this show is working overtime to make me hate Vanessa even more every week. This show is damaging the Nicole and Dani characters by making them do forgiving of their exes. I get that it happens, but both sisters??? Today, Dani railed against Ted while we've all seen her kiss up to Bill constantly. Nicole moves on to TWO men as Nicole 2.0 -- and then flirts with her ex. Are you kidding me with this? She's all over the place. Meanwhile, Shanice is watered down from who she was and feels interior to the mighty Dupree women. Today Nicole and Ted talked about her as if she's an afterthought. None of this is fun to watch, at least not for me.

-- Giving Black characters a life-threatening diseases is not exactly denigrating those characters, at least not in these cases. -- I'd accept an Olivia recast, but Josh Griffith wouldn't give her anything. She'd be used like Amy. -- Absolute no to a Malcolm recast. It won't work any better than it did with DM when they cast against type thinking they could subvert expectations. -- Stephanie's story about her husband Jerry and not contacting Malcolm was wonky, but all of this is much better than the other stories we've been tortured with. -- Age alert: Shemar Moore is 55. Nathan Owens is 42. Both look great for their age, but Owens looks especially good. -- The Crimson Lights lack of extras is a problem. The place always looks like it should be closing. -- I enjoyed Cane taking down Phyllis today. So glad to hear him destroy her and tell her she did nothing to earn what she has. -- Michelle Stafford is back to repeating her lines, sometimes a third time. Ugh. -- Cane and Lily belong together. CK and BF have chemistry.

Whatever it was, it's not working. -- I'm lost. Lynette says Hayley emptied the bank accounts of her 3 previous husbands. Then where is that money? Why can't she pay off Lynette? -- Bill is so good at connecting the Lynette dots but is still clueless about Hayley. Doesn't make sense. -- So Bill tears up Tomas' letter of resignation, then treats Tomas like a little bitch when their conversation ends? I don't like Tomas, but GMAB. -- Dani holds "detestation" for Ted for cheating on Nicole while she constantly throws herself at the feet of (and bumps hips with) the guy who treated her like garbage for their entire marriage. -- I did not like the way Ted and Nicole talked about Shanice. "Sometimes eggs is just eggs"? Are you kidding me? Hey, Ted, if you think Shanice wants more, tell her you're not ready for that. And Nicole, you say you don't want to have to define a relationship, but you're not 20 years old. Grow up andd stop using people. -- Vanessa finally has an office! It's the Airport Mall Caffeine Fix Atrium Coffee Shop, but OK. -- Vanessa's version of what happened on that couples date just shows what a terrible friend she is. It's sad that no one will tell her what a trash whore she is.

Kimberlin Brown is good in "Sheila is batshlt crazy" scenes, but she is terrible in emotional scenes, and one of the worst criers of all time in daytime. She squints her eyes and scrunches her face and that's it.

I hope we're getting a 3rd opening and that BC hasn't been dropped from contract. If he has been dropped to recurring, then this show is making confounding casting decisions. David Lami Friebe is great looking, but his acting is a work in progress. Brandon Claybon is an acquired taste, but I like the way he's inhabited the role.

-- Watching that scene, I was rolling my eyes so hard and throwing my head back so much I must have looked like I needed to be hospitalized. Jordan took her eyes off the road over and over and over for long periods. Even worse was the editing that went back to them in the car multiple times -- immediately giving away that we were getting a car crash. I don't remember when a show so completely failed at any sense of surprise with a car wreck. -- GH also screws up way too often with their previews, giving away answers to cliffhanger questions. You want us to wonder if a character was hurt in a car wreck? Then don't show that character walking and talking in the preview.

-- Ryan Peavey was excellent today. He's defining the character. -- I enjoy a closing musical montage, but would have preferred a less obvious impending car wreck. I mean, come on. -- Trina's singing and Gio's guitar playing were fine, but I didn't like the song choice. Seemed weird for an open mic night. -- Frank is a master of multiple sets, but I had to laugh at the open mic stage being right next to the pub entrance. Are customers allowed to enter and exit during performances? 😂 😆 😂

-- I don't care why Shemar and Vivica are there. This episode was better because of them and because we didn't get the AI or Matt Clark crap. -- Was Shemar SWAT-like serious? Yeah. But wouldn't a guy with a really terrible disease be serious? -- Nathan Owens must feel like he hit the lottery. Good for him. -- Forgot to mention yesterday that I am so glad Devon is all hellfire about Mariah. That makes perfect sense to me.

-- I agree that June ends up in that posted Samantha selfie. I hope they explain these sudden personality shifts in June. The June we've gotten to know would not turn down an invitation to the cotillion, and all of a sudden she's worried about not fitting in. -- Speaking of not fitting in, there's Samantha. Hasn't this girl grown up around power and wealth? Then why is she written as someone who doesn't feel worthy to compete? Doesn't make sense to me. -- Like others here, I'd like to see some of these preparations for cotillion instead of just hearing that Tyrell is a bad dancer. -- The wigs are usually very good on BTG, but that Eva wig is WAY too much hair. -- I am glad we're getting a source of conflict in the Eva/Izaiah story. -- The Mama Showdown between Leslie and Darlene was decent, but would have been better if Leslie wasn't so cartoonish. She says things that are so tone deaf and so lacking in self-awareness that it's ridiculous. She wants Eva with Izaiah, yet throws out one crass comments or insult after another. She doesn't even try to fit in. -- I like seeing Vernon meet with Martin -- over his campaign. Too much of that conversation was about Martin and Smitty's sexy time, and that was unbelievable and cringe. -- The BWC (Brick Wall Conversations) continue to be awful. There is no reason for Jacob to meet Smitty there. None. All we heard was Jacob moaning about Naomi and Ashley -- telling us that this guy is no undercover cop. Oh, we also heard that Smitty is going to work on a plan. Jesus.

The Sheila stuff has been good-very good. But that Carter/Daphne sideline story? Yikes, that was bad. They've been together for 20 minutes and we're supposed to care that she's not pregnant?

That was the big fail in the episode. Izaiah wore sneakers? Are you kidding me with this? He didn't fit in? We needed something much more dramatic and big to make this father-son rift believable. It's not.

I'll be honest. When I watched the last 25 minutes of the network broadcast, I was ok with it. When I watched the first 35 minutes online, I thought it was way too much Naomi and Jacob and tried way too hard. It's really ok to skip the entire episode.

Boy, you nailed it with this post. I mean, that was not worth heading to the ABC website for. This Danny turn is a mess. That kid is not ready for that kind of story. Aunt Stella is the character writers continually throw in so we have someone to be annoyed with. DA lady and Jordan are blah, so why not put both of them in a scene together? And Carlos Rota is overacting SO much and chewing scenery in ALL the wrong ways. Get him off my screen.

-- This entire episode was such a heavy anvil to tell us Jacob would be hurt or even killed. I hope they don't go for something so obvious and are really subverting expectations. -- The hair department worked overtime for Naomi's wigs alone. -- I'm glad the show is finally letting us see that Jacob and Naomi love each other. We got months and months where I wasn't really sure, which I think was a mistake. -- The Izaiah backstory was interesting, but I still don't think they've explained the distance between Izaiah and Elon. Not buying it. -- Just watched the first half of the show that was pre-empted. Jesus, they're REALLY laying it on thick about Jacob.

The best part is that everything you've mentioned can be done at little or even no cost. That's what frustrates me. We get a new set and it's Joey's place. What??? With that ridiculous fireplace -- while looking like ANOTHER set furnished by Wayfair. That casino backroom? Maybe I was seeing things, but I swear one day last week they just dimmed the lighting in there to make the set look better. It's complete 🗑️ 🗑️ 🗑️

I'll never stop complaining about the Joey role on this show. I hate it so much. TEMU Tony Soprano controls everyone and everything. Everyone goes to him for help and everyone is afraid of him. And have I mentioned that he's white? Meanwhile, listen to his dialogue -- it's every bad cliche we've ever heard from a mobster. I gave them a pass on this for awhile, thinking that pre-emptions wrecked the Friday cliffhanger. Can't do that any longer. I don't need a Friday cliffhanger to tune in on Monday, but I do enjoy them. I think a bigger problem is that daily episodes end on a scene that are just meh. Can't disagree about the crossover. I don't trust it'll do much. I do know Devon is one of the crossover characters, and if we're just going to get him talking to Anita about an Articulettes recording session....again, meh. Big agreement here. Y&R is an unmitigated disaster, to the point where it's impossible to get a discussion going on that thread. There's tons of talk here about BTG (and GH) because those are the soaps we care about most right now. B&B has picked up steam, but I don't trust Brad Bell to keep it up. I have NO faith -- none -- in a Y&RR led by Josh Griffith. Yep. Try to look at our posts differently. If we didn't care about this show, there wouldn't be dozens of pages with comments every month. Everything I and others offer as criticism is open for discussion, so if you disagree, go for it. And sorry, but as others have pointed out, sets are a problem -- one that I think has grown bigger. I think that's why so many here are saying Bill Bell didn't care about sweeps. It's because he was ALWAYS building story while something was supercharged. We didn't get weeks and months of lulls masquerading as "This is going to be something good when they get to it." And I'm just not a fan of story and characters that build and then disappear -- not for days, but for those weeks and months. BTG relies on this pacing far too often. Chelsea and Madison? Who are they? (I could do this for a half dozen stories). They need to give us something substantial with the Hayley/Bill/Lynette story. I don't want it to disappear again. Get somewhere with this plasma storyline. The cotillion? I'm worried about that one. We've had this buildup for MONTHS, and I think it's created this feeling that we're going to get a spectacular event. I think it's a mistake to feed the audience those expectations, and I blame the show for that. What's crazy is that they've built this expectation while giving us very few real details about the cotillion or scenes that cover it.

Yep. Some people are happy only if you describe every element of the show as if it's rainbows shooting out of a unicorn's ass.
