ALL: Short lived Headwriter stints
I also vaguely recall one of the awards shows during that era in which someone on days won an award and specifically called out Leah and Anne. I feel like it was Ken Corday but I cannot recall the exact award/show etc.

ALL: Short lived Headwriter stints
Jason: my recollection is that Anne Schoettle was co-headwriter with Laiman for most or all of her run. In fact, I seem to recall that they both got credit for "story" during the five month 1988 writers' strike.

GH: September 2024 Discussion Thread
Because it's the same writers who've been there for years (EK and CVE) and same producer who needed to be fired when RC was fired (FV). It's the same show as under every previous FV head writer, just more hysterical, hyper emotional scenes. And that performer playing Molly, yikes she cannot act. Why was she given a contract??

Interesting short interview with James Goodwin from 2009 in which he discusses his roles on AW (Kevin 91-93) and GL (Johnny 86-90). Interestingly, he mentions that his agent was contacted by a former GL writer to take on the AW Kevin role. He says it was Melissa Salmons but she was not an AW writer in 91 and was still with GL at that time. I wonder if the writer was Victor Miller who was on Sheri Anderson's GL writing team when Johnny was created and was at AW when Kevin was created. http://pgpclassicsoaps.blogspot.com/2009/02/where-are-they-now-james-goodwin-ex.html

Knots Landing
John Pleshette wrote the first 2 episodes of S4. He played Richard on the show. He wrote 8 episodes over the first four seasons. I thought all of his scripts were great. Notably, Ann and Ellis Marcus were brought in as executive story editors for the entire season three to collaborate with head writer Diana Gould; they were fired after one season. That's when the soapiness developed. No surprise given Marcus' background. Ann was rehired as a head writer/supervising producer for Season 14 and brought back Rocci Chatfield. Ellis was not part of the team.

Given that Amy Jean is Anne's daughter, it would be reasonable to assume that her announcement that Anne is GH's script editor means that Anne is GH's script editor!

RE Guza and Carruthers: Uninspired, disappointing hires. Vets (ages 64 and 70) who are relics of the a bygone era in daytime. Out of commission since 2011/2012. Both had large, forgettable periods in their respective soap careers i.e. Guza/co-creator of one of the worst soaps ever (Sunset Beach) and a failed Loving co-head gig at Loving. He also turned GH into the Sopranos (copy cat/lazy) which haunts (and ruined) GH to this day. Carruthers' Port Charles was a dumpster fire and AMC was a sad shell of itself upon cancellation after her 8 year EP term where the show had had 6 head writing teams including Megan McTavish's longest stint (4 years).
