I enjoy Leo. He’s saucy and has personality (things which are in short supply on this show). He’s a more accurate representation of gay men than Will “Wears a Condom for a Bl*w Job” Horton.

Kimberlin has always been great. Sheila’s the only reason I watch B&B. I just want her going up against worthy enemies, not small potatoes like Steffy or Finn. They need to lean into Sheila’s actual history and not this retcon stuff.

Has Ron commented on the ousting of fired guy yet? I know he couldn’t during the strike but that’s been over for a couple of months now.

The Horton tree ceremony episode will be the litmus test for these scabs. Either they’ll nail it or it’ll be garbage.

Andrea Evans as Rebecca in her very first scene Heather Lindell as Jan, also her first scene Ditto Jay Johnson as Philip I’ve never warmed up to a recast. I either like them right away or not at all (sorry Haiduk, Mansi, Madison, Pinson, DePaiva, etc).

Why won’t Tonya return? What’s the story there? I’m currently watching for Nina, Cricket, Danny, Heather, and Chance. I’ve never liked the Abbotts or Newmans beyond Traci and Nikki.

Dimitri wasn’t paired with Maggie. I prefer gay actors playing gay roles. I hate seeing straight guys playing gay characters. Imagine my disappointment when Chandler Massey turned out to be straight.

Disappointing because I like Peter Porte. I wanted Dimitri to turn out to be John and Marlena’s 1986 baby who Stefano gave to Megan to raise. That being said, if his run wrapped six months ago, why was he at Day of Days in November? Leo at least has a personality. Sonny and Will in particular are bland, boring, and dry. Same is true for Andrew so far but I love him with sweet Paul.

Twenty years ago we were deep into the Salem Stalker story which was the last time Days was must-see TV for me. I followed the mystery religiously and had determined that each character had an alibi for at least one of the murders other than John, Marlena, and Brady. As a Marlena fan I was rooting for her to be the serial killer because I loved when JER put her in prominent storylines. So when the reveal happened I was so excited! “Time of death: any minute now”. 😆 Deidre is so good at playing the darker side of Marlena. Had Corday not forced JER to bring the dead back, I think it would’ve been revealed that the Marlena we had seen since 1991 was not the real Marlena and Deidre would’ve begun playing the Marlena we saw from 1986-97 after the other Marlena was executed. I have never liked Dee’s Hattie. That’s Andrea’s role and she was fabulous in it. Dee never could quite pull it off. I’m still hoping Dee can convince Andrea to return for a few episodes some day soon.

That reminds me, we’re quickly approaching the 20th anniversary of my favorite Roman moment. Do not diminish Reilly’s accomplishments. He created Kate, Lucas, Kristen, Peter, Curtis, Belle, Philip, EJ, Will, and others. He revitalized the Horton and DiMera families. He also brought Days such high ratings that NBC rewarded him with his own soap.

It’s so wild to me that Y&R and B&B take place in the same fictional universe as Guiding Light, As the World Turns, and Another World.

Sheila has plenty of life in her. That being said, her stories going forward should involve Lauren and only Lauren. I don’t care which soap I have to watch to get my fix. I’ll watch whichever one that’ll give me Lauren vs. Sheila for the first time in eighteen years. Sheila and Lauren are soaps’ greatest female rivalry behind Days’ Marlena and Kristen.

I agree with you although it is normal for Stephanie to date her relatives.

I miss OLTL. I wish Susan Haskell would return to daytime. Heck, I’d settle for a short arc on GH where Cole and Hope turn out to be alive. Killing them off was the worst part of crossing over Starr.

Thank you. I was in the official fan club for a few years and got some cool stuff from it. I’ve also got some autographed photos of some of the actors and I’ve met Eric Martsolf (even though Travis Schuldt is the superior Ethan). And of course I still have my hardcover copy of Hidden Passions. I also loved JER’s Days. The first run was excellent and the second started out great until Corday interfered and forced him to bring back the dead. But that’s a conversation for the classic Days thread.

Passions is my fave soap opera of all time and JER is my favorite writer of all time. I’m blessed to have been alive to watch every episode from start to finish. What an experience.

You didn’t hear about Vincent giving birth to his father’s baby? Or Vicki chopping off Julian’s penis and a drunk, high Eve reattaching it backwards and upside down?

Trying to apply real years to SORASing just doesn’t work and can only be messy. Just look at the mess that is EJ’s SORAS.

Sami was 8 when she and Eric went to Colorado in November 1992. When she returned in January, she was 15. John was onscreen in Salem over the course of those two months and the only one who he was raising was Brady. John raised the twins from ages 2 to 7. It was all shown onscreen. Carrie was 12-16 during that time.
