  1. Hopefully Melissa and Pete reconnected offscreen like Valerie and David did to conceive Eli. Melissa was shown pregnant with Nathan when she returned for Bo and Hope’s wedding in 1996.
  2. Four more months of fired guy scabbing and EPing, then a couple of months of the scabs who replaced him, then Ron’s new material with Janet as his EP in May or June. Just curious, why? And how do you know? BTS access? Hopefully she is a Jarlena fan. I would love to have Tom Langan or Steve Wyman back as EP. The show looked great under them.
  3. I hope this is a recast or SORAS or something and not another brand new character.
  4. Your obsession with Ron is unhealthy.
  5. I love Eileen’s Susan and Kristen. The recast is garbage. I like Emily O’Brien. Been a fan since her Y&R days. As a Jack and Jennifer fan, I desperately want Missy back.
  6. Y&R successfully shifted away from its original families. Days ought to be allowed to do the same.
  7. Not my cup of tea. I forgot to mention I like paranormal/supernatural/gothic/sci-fi soaps. That’s what drew me in when I first heard about the show. That’s why I like Days: the possession, buried alive, Princess Gina, the microchip in Vivian’s tooth, Dr. Rolf’s back from the dead serum, etc. My other favorite soaps are Sunset Beach and Port Charles because they also embraced the supernatural. It helped that JER was storyline consultant for Sunset Beach in 1998. I’ve seen some Dark Shadows and liked it too.
  8. Cady?! Lmao no Jack and Jennifer fan wants that! 😂😂 Instead of bringing back forgotten characters that the show has moved on from, the show should be shifting to Marlena’s family. She has the largest family onscreen: her, John, Brady, Eric, Jude, Tate, Johnny, and Rachel. And Deidre has appeared in more episodes than any other character. It’s time.
  9. The focus on the Dimeras is all fired guy. Speaking of the Dimeras, they are a good example of what the Hortons shouldn’t be. We’ve got characters with no onscreen connection to Stefano (Stefan, Dimitri). We’ve got familiar names played by bad actors who aren’t even written in character (EJ, Kristen). We’ve got characters returning after 40 years (Megan) that most of the current audience doesn’t know or care about. We’ve got this mess of a Dimera Enterprises retcon (Stefano wasn’t a businessman, he was more of a mobster). We’ve got lies about the nature of this family as well as Stefano’s legacy (they weren’t a close knit family, most of the children didn’t grow up together, he wasn’t a dark version of Tom Horton [he allowed one of his sons to murder another son], etc.). Stefano’s legacy isn’t Dimera Enterprises, his legacy is kidnapping Marlena and coming back from the dead. That’s the mess the Hortons would be by bringing back forgotten characters like Sandy, Spencer, and Scotty. You can’t just slap the Horton name on someone and pretend they’re a real family.
  10. I was talking about Passions. I like Days for its outrageous, over the top storylines and larger than life characters like Eileen’s Susan, Bonnie, and Andrea’s Hattie.
  11. The Hortons aren’t important anymore. Bringing on a character who was mentioned once thirty years ago does nothing. The focus should be shifted to the Evans-Black family. Marlena has appeared in more episodes than any other character and is the star of the show. Bringing back characters from 30-40 years ago is a waste of time. No one watching has any emotional investment in those characters. The families today’s audience connects with are John/Marlena, Bo/Hope, and Jack/Jennifer. Days has moved on from the Hortons. You should too.
  12. He’s literally married to Sarah Horton. Following that logic, Alice, Maggie, Doug, Jack, Chad, Laura, Bo, Belle, etc. are not Hortons either. Fine by me. My favourite Hortons (Jennifer and her family) aren’t even on the show anymore. Resetting the show to focus on Marlena’s family would be ideal. She’s appeared in more episodes than any of the Hortons.
  13. Why do they need the last name? Julie, Doug, Chad, Thomas, Charlotte, Xander, they’re all Hortons. Personally I’m in favor of the show centering around Marlena’s family since Deidre is the star of the show. No one who has watched in the last 30 years has been watching for the Hortons. Hopefully once the set is gone we’ll see even less of them.
  14. Rogers and Seaforth are hammy and painfully embarrassing. Rogers is especially bad. Did you know Deidre’s ex-husband cheated on her with Suzanne? Roman and Marlena are a footnote in Days history compared to John and Marlena. The only Susan I care about is Susan Delilah Banks (Eileen only), my favorite character. I like the 90s. Donna. I like the early and mid 2000s. Not interested in anything that came before 1993.
  15. There are worse characters on Days right now than Leo and there have been worst characters in the past. Rafe, Harris, Ava, Maggie, Julie, Konstantin, Alex, Stephanie, EJ, Roman, Kate, and Xander all spring to mind.
  16. In my opinion they ought to be publicly shamed for going fi-core. It’s a betrayal of their union. Oh that’s good news! They can keep him! I’ve still never forgiven him for penning Marlena’s rape.
  17. Imagine if MarDar got another chance! lol You missed Gary Tomlin. It would be a nightmare if he returned. Fran Meyers is the script editor who is terrible at her job and whose son Henry Newman was a nepo hire. Paula Cwikly would be my pick. She was really good with Peter Brash in 2002-03.
  18. I enjoy satire and comedy, not realism or family drama.
  19. I definitely don’t agree. The writers who damaged this show were Dena Higley, Hogan Sheffer, Gary Tomlin, Christopher Whitesell, Marlene McPherson, Darrell Thomas, and Josh Griffith. Those who wrote Days similarly to JER such as Sally Sussman, Tom Langan, Peter Brash and Paula Cwikly, and Ron Carlivati kept the show compelling. Ron’s writing has been a return to form after a decade of nonsense and destruction. JER wrote an exciting and interesting Days. In fact, NBC had the best soap lineup of the 90s with Days, Sunset Beach, and Passions (as far as I’m concerned, Passions is the greatest soap opera of all time). You must understand that JER is *the* definitive Days writer for an entire generation. He wrote the show properly. I remember reading SOD back when I had a subscription and seeing that soaps like GL, ATWT, AW, GH, and AMC were terribly boring.
  20. Days shouldn’t kill off their queer characters. It’s homophobic.
  21. She looks like a clown. I’m going to call her out on it since she chooses her own wardrobe. I absolutely look better than stretched-faced Koslow. The woman has been having a late-in-life crisis for the past few years. She doesn’t read this board. She doesn’t need you to defend her either. And no, it’s not appropriate for anyone to be MAGA. Now we can return to Krista. I’m simply going to mute you.
