  1. I hope the second half will be released by March, and hopefully we’ll get a renewal and season four in October.
  2. Based on the title, I thought Eileen was finally returning to Days. Fortunately I enjoy Judith as Anjelica so I’m cautiously excited. Y&R ought to give Haiduk a contract to come back as Patty/Emily.
  3. My faves are James E. Reilly, Sally Sussman, Tom Langan, Peter Brash and Paula Cwikly, and Ron Carlivati.
  4. Just fyi, the admin is now hinting that I may have misinterpreted her comments, so maybe not all of the scabs are ex-Days writers. But at the very least, Sheri was there in some capacity. To be honest, she often utilizes doublespeak which confuses even me, someone with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English lit!
  5. My favourite classic era is definitely 1993-2001. I really wish Days would scoop up Kirsten Storms from GH. She’s the best Belle.
  6. That’s true. I’m just glad she is up for returning from time to time. Just wish they’d use Patrick Muldoon as Austin rather than Peck, although he’s fine enough in the role.
  7. I sincerely doubt Ken had anything to do with it. He was totally checked out by this point and the fired guy was in full tyrant mode.
  8. She hasn’t really retired. She just lives in the UK now. I’m sure she’ll be back for another arc with Austin at some point, ideally to introduce Noah. Soaps bring back characters for weddings all the time. I can forgive Anna for missing the 1997 wedding since that was actually intended to be Sami and Austin’s wedding. Why was it great to see? Christie and Leann only shared a few scenes together in 1986 and then didn’t interact again for over 30 years. Carrie is better with her mother Marlena.
  9. I gave a couple of examples of how Roman was trash in the 80s. The very first time they met, Roman made Marlena think he was going to strangle her to death. Then, as Marlena learned that Sam had been murdered in place of Marlena, Roman slapped her in the face. And the reason he called her Doc is because he couldn’t believe a woman was actually a doctor. Carrie’s biological parents are Roman and Anna but John and Marlena are her true parents. Anna gave custody of Carrie to Marlena in the 80s because she knew Marlena would be a better mother to Carrie than she would. Neither she nor Roman could be bothered to attend Carrie’s first wedding to Austin. Anna didn’t show up for Carrie and Austin’s second and third weddings either. As someone who watched heavily in the 90s, the mother/daughter/father bond with Marlena, Carrie, and John was a tentpole feature.
  10. With baby Eve turning out to be alive, you just know Sabrina and Victor’s dead baby is going to show up one day.
  11. It is interesting that she only came back while Ron was unavailable.
  12. I’m praying she’s back as Anjelica!!! Judith was the best Anjelica (sorry, Jane)! With Alex on the canvas, now is the perfect time to bring her back. They need to bring back Jack as well. He’s Alex’s stepbrother. What a waste if she’s back as Diana.
  13. Roman with Anna has never made much sense either. That’s one of the reasons why I consider Marlena and John to be Carrie’s true parents. I’ve never cared for Wayne’s Roman because of how poorly he treated Marlena in the 80s and then again in the 90s. He psychologically abused Marlena in their very first meeting! After her twin sister was murdered, Roman slapped her! Later, the way he treated baby Belle after learning the truth about her paternity was despicable. I’m not sure if I consider the pregnancy to be an actual story. It was more of a plot point to set up the Alex story. Again I am a Marlena fan so I’d like to see the marriage aspect of that story revisited and retconned. It taints everything about Marlena’s history.
  14. So you don’t know what Sheri’s role at Days was during the strike? (I don’t think Sheri would’ve bothered going fi-core for GH. Going fi-core is a permanent blemish on a writer’s career and is not looked at fondly by Guild members)
  15. The Alex North story needs to be revisited so they can retcon his and Marlena’s marriage. Their marriage was confirmed to John by Marlena’s parents so I would love it if Marlena found a letter from her deceased parents where they inform her Alex threatened them into confirming the marriage. I would argue that Roman hasn’t had a story since 1998! I definitely could not see Wayne’s Roman with Lauren’s skanky version of Kate. Maybe Deborah’s Kate.
  16. Wayne could always return as Alex North. Also, he was on PORT CHARLES when they recast with Josh.
  17. I agree with you there and, as far as I know, Haiduk hasn’t filmed in months. The recast version of both of Eileen’s roles are written wildly out of character so I’d even be down for Haiduk’s roles to turn out to be someone else entirely. Of course, they could also just fix it with some dialogue when Eileen returns. For example, OOC Kristen can be explained by a traumatic brain injury from falling out that window in 2015. OOC Susan can be explained due to the drugs she was put on in the psych ward in 2017. Would love for Eileen to come back in a “Return to Aremid” story as the Woman in Black.
  18. It should have happened in 2017 but better late than never. In fact, it should happen on Y&R but Griffith inexplicably hates Sheila and won’t bring her back for a crossover. My only hope is for Brad to bring back Lauren for a week and deal with it then.
  19. For me, Kristen, Susan, and the others are characters who work best in short arcs. Eileen’s Kristen should come in, stir the pot, leave, then return again 6-12 months later. Susan should be used every couple of months for scenes with her son and grandson. Sister Mary Moira should pop in every once in a while to reprimand the sinners of Salem. Thomas has been used effectively. I consider Eileen’s Kristen to be the best villainess in the history of Days. She and Deidre have impeccable rivalry chemistry. I thought NL was the better Taylor as well. Her portrayal was much more in line with the original Taylor played by Katherine Ellis. Eileen is not on contract with Y&R. I’m here for short arcs. Villains work best in short arcs these days. They did kill off Roman in 2004 but Corday forced JER to bring back all of Marlena’s victims unfortunately. I loved that story and was pleased to see all of those particular characters exit. I’ve never liked Maggie, Caroline, Abe, Doug, Josh’s Roman, or Thaao’s characters.
  20. I’m fine with Emily playing Theresa because I can’t stomach Jen Lilley. If Days wants to keep Tamara she should really be playing Taylor and not Ava. Did you know that Nicole, Brandon, and Taylor have never shared a single scene together? Not into either Roman…I only ever liked Roman when he was played by Drake. I don’t see why Eileen can’t do both shows like Wally Kurth does. Eileen was off Y&R for 2-3 months in late summer/early fall so I’m hoping she was filming an arc at Days.
  21. As a Sheila fan since the early 90s, I am so bored with how she is being used. Steffy is small potatoes compared to Sheila’s historic enemies Lauren and Stephanie. If they want the Finn story to continue, they need to add at least one of Sheila’s other children. In addition, I want them to reveal who Pheila was since it obviously wasn’t Sheila or Sugar. Plus, I’d like them to retcon MAB’s material by having Daisy and Ryder revealed to be Sarah’s children with Sarah being revealed to not be Sheila’s sister. I know Bold shouldn’t have to clean up Y&R’s mess but the continuity discrepancies still annoy me.
  22. They do. I also follow the admin on Twitter which is where she posts some of her info as well. Look for Ron’s stories to be put on pause during the strike material. It looks like the fired guy was dictating story to the breakdown and scriptwriters while Ron was striking. However, since the scabs are former writers, the older, veteran characters and couples are speculated to benefit from the strike. In the writers thread down below I linked to a post where Errol confirmed that Sheri Anderson’s role during the strike was story consultant. I’m curious to see if she is currently still with Days now that the strike is over.
  23. That was my second guess. There aren’t too many Hortons so it will probably be underwhelming. They’ll probably trot out that old crone Maggie to pay annual lip service to Mickey again.
  24. I was really hoping that Billie Piper would finally return as Rose so I was a tad disappointed. I thought RTD loved Rose? I love Rose even more than The Doctor. Could we at least finally get that Rose Tyler: Earth Defender spinoff please??? I stopped watching DW a few episodes into Matt Smith’s run but I did watch The Day of the Doctor. I watched these specials for RTD and Tennant. Not a Donna fan. I have mixed feelings on them so the Xmas special will really determine for me if I will watch the upcoming season or not.
