  1. There was a noticeable shift in fall 2001 when JP joined as co-HW. The show was not necessarily bad, but it wasn’t the same quality (for me) as the first year and a half of Hogan’s run. I thought the show regained some spark with the umbrella story around Rose’s death, but if I recall correctly, network interference in early 2004 halted the momentum and led to awfulness like Doc Reese and Keys to the Kingdom. I enjoyed the first couple years of JP’s solo run. The show had renewed energy compared to 2004 into early 2005. Not everything was great, but the show held my interest everyday until around late 2007. Then the wheels fell off entirely and the show didn’t feel like itself again until it was too late around Maura West’s return after her final maternity leave. So much lost potential in the last year especially.
  2. Interesting comments from Phillips about Ted Shackelford!
  3. I love the ATWT logo, especially how it incorporates a more recent font with the older elements. Love AW and GH too!
  4. It appears as though Brenda Dickson (ex-Jill, Y&R) has lost her home and is now sleeping outside. She has set up a GoFundMe too. All is on her instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/brendadicksonactress/
  5. Pretty sure the buzz was that Sally McDonald was defacto/acting EP during MAB’s last year/year and a half.
  6. The highest of emotional stakes! 😂
  7. I do love the nu-old Newman Ranch and the remixed Abbott mansion. I just wish there was a story to match 😜 Any stakes. Anything. Something.
  8. Yes, those too! The mansion was so much more spacious when the show first debuted.
  9. Hoorah! Hoping we see the original Forrester living room again. Not the narrow version we’ve had for the last decade and a half!
  10. I saw somebody say they used the AW fan bench as fire wood and I nearly spit out my coffee.
  11. Has anyone watched the new/part 2 HT interview? It is bananas on all sorts of levels.
  12. Yes, they had, but it was several months after AW ended. I wonder if GL inherited any of the sets.
  13. Thanks! This is jogging my memory. I think Lucinda’s Worldwide offices may have been a repurposed Cory Publishing.
  14. Is it safe to come back in here now? 😆 I have been rewatching episodes of ATWT from 1999, specifically to see the AW crossovers from Jake and Vicky. One thing that is sticking out is the sets that made their way to ATWT. By my count, we have Jake and Vicky’s home and Tops restaurant. And of course there were AW set pieces that were repurposed on ATWT. Katie’s cottage and possibly Jack and Carly’s house had some AW elements. Anyone remember other AW sets, either used as a Bay City setting or repurposed in Oakdale on ATWT?
  15. People are grieving. Please stop your horseshit of commenting on every post. For the love of [!@#$%^&*] god.
  16. I think Jill’s absence is Jess’s choice. In an interview Jess did with Tonja Walker on her podcast about a year ago, she mentioned aging and having issues with vision. She also discussed the process of prepping for Jill’s Zoom scenes.
  17. The misinformation aggressively takes over multiple threads at a time. Sigh.
  18. A thousand times yes! Chappell’s and Byrne’s web soaps that came out only a few months after GL’s cancellation had better production values. It was so sad what Ellen did to our grande dame.
  19. My dream guest is Susan Flannery. Budig was/is friends with her, so maybe it is in the realm of possibility. I’d love to see Kim Zimmer too. She is always a good interview.
  20. If she returned to ATWT as a producer 2003 and into early 2004, then she was not credited. She for sure returned to her regular directing spot.
  21. Yes! She barely lasted during her first GL run. She ran back to ATWT for a year and a half as director. I love that KZ stood her ground with TPTB. Great for her!
  22. Speaking of Emily, I really wish that Marie Masters could do a Locher Room. I haven’t seen anything about her in years!
  23. Great pairing that seemed to come out of the blue! Around that time, it felt like Sheffer/Goutman didn’t really know what to do with Emily or Hal. And KM and BH had surprisingly great chemistry. It was good for Emily especially because she was coming off those unsympathetic years with the Tom affair and then running the Intruder and essentially just being a busybody.
  24. I loved Kelley Menighan! She was an MVP, especially during the show’s last few years. I always looked forward to anything she did with MM, BH, CZ, MW, and the two grownup Alisons. Wasn’t a big fan of her with RH’s Paul. I always admired how she balanced being a vixen and being neurotic.
