Y&R: Amy Lewis Returning
Random. Gosh, I had a major crush on SEW. She was actually quite an accomplished dancer and performer. Last I'd heard, she'd moved back to the St. Louis area, where she's from. She was very involved in the community so I bet she retired from the industry. Anyway, at least Y&R hired someone with great credentials. I'm sure it's only for a couple of episodes. It'll be interesting to see what brings Amy back.

Yes! I mean Finn was in FC for the Hope meeting. RJ was presumably there 'working' - it would've been totally logical for Finn and Carter to go for a steam after that 'tense' meeting with RJ popping in. As RJ whines about Luna 'not being who he thought she was', Carter cuts him off by saying: 'I feel ya. Yeah, Brad does these random switches. Like when I dated your former sister-in-law, she was a sweet hot model. Next thing you know, *she* suddenly became a completely different person.'

ARTICLE: Daytime Broadcast Ratings For The Week Of September 2-6, 2024
B&B's numbers during the past month certainly indicate that viewers (like me) will return when given a compelling stories. Let's see/hope it continues.

@Soapsuds When $B gave Katie that crown after the whole Brooke thing, it was so cringe. Katie, of course, rejected it and through Karen Spencer got 1% of Spencer Publishing, which meant Karen was in control with Katie's 1%. I don't really remember all the details. None of it made a lot of sense because Katie pushed Brill together when she thought she was dying (for like the 6th time). The ugly truth being held from Will is that Katie shares a lot of the blame in the messed up Batie relationship. That's why it's better left alone. HT can do so much more, but when they pair Batie, she loses that edge.

Terrible: RJ apologizing twice to Steffy + Finn for bringing Luna into their lives. Finn with that constipated look on his face can't even *man-up* and say 'that's not true, she's my cousin.' Luna is 'troubled' 'disturbed' etc. Strange how the Forrester clan didn't go into their typical 'toxic' 'monster' 'murderer' etc. rants. ala Sheila/Quinn. The $B and Poppy scenes were intentionally strange to push the Katie reunion. But will Li get in the way since hopping to your ex's sibling is B&B canon. Not even SC was buying that BS that Liam would kneel at Finn's altar. Aunt Taylee absolutely works for me. Looking forward to KKL/RB scenes. KKL looks great. Great choice dressing Brooke in suits as a contrast to Brooke's Bedroom. Brooke using the phrase 'follow your heart' in her warning to Hope.

It's almost like someone wrote that Deadline article for The Onion. I couldn't believe he was quoted as saying those things. That last paragraph is horrible. Friday's episode was not good. 'Here's some coconut water...' and neither Finn nor WitchLi couldn't bother to text Ridge/Taylor after getting Steffy out of there? Terrible. RB was by far the best thing on it. Like @Maxim, while I'm not seeing *Taylor* - I am watching an actor who actually has presence. You'd never guess this was her 7th episode. I'll treat her as Taylor's half-sister, Tay-lee. I look forward to more scenes where she tears it up with AN + KKL.

Exactly! This reminds me of the way Maya drifted aimlessly for years. When they finally made the character compelling - with the Rick/Maya takeover and the rivalry between Ridge/C2 - they destroyed the character permanently for a PSA and shock value. Such a waste. They could've taken this retcon backstory and made revealed the Luna was really a social climber with an agenda - RJ, Zende, Bill, etc. She could've scared Tom away and blackmailed/seduced Hollis. She could've still caged Steffy, but gotten away with it because no one would've believed her. Basically a new Sheila/Quinn because B&B really needs an instigator.

I expect that both Lunacy and Poppy will be vanquished from B&B by next Thursday, Sept 12. In typical B&B, we'll probably never hear their names again. Same with Tom and Hollis. Gone and forgotten. How long before Liam: 'You know, Steffy, Finn's family is toxic. First, Sheila and, now, Luna. I have to protect my family! You and Kelly are moving in with me. Justin is preparing your divorce papers....'

For all the bad of Tuesday's episode, JMW gave a solid performance in the cage - her voice, facial expressions, her body language/position, etc. It was far more nuanced, yet still emotional than the shrieking one-dimension Steffy that's been overkill. I hope we see more of it. A better approach to Li today: have her fess up to Finn that the reason why Li didn't want Lunacy in LA was that she's always been emotionally unstable due to her upbringing, etc. Li: 'There were terrible incidents, which is why I've always hated your Aunt Poppy. She put her selfish lifestyle above her daughter.'

LATEST RATINGS: August 19-23, 2024
The Pizza Murders/Lunacy is the first story that has actually worked since the ill-conceived Sheila shooting Steffy/Finn. It was literally misfire after misfire. I stopped watching after the BunHead FBI reveal rewrite and the show only got worse until Monaco/Lunacy brought me back. For the most part, B&B made both stories umbrella stories with different angles. This has been a contrast to the usual single linear story that gets rehashed multiple times in the same episode by all the characters. Has Lunacy been messy? *YES* - in the best possible way. For the first time in 18 months, I can't wait to stream today's episode. Will it last? No chance.

Lunacy has been a real pleasure + as I predicted when Zende returned to do Brooke Bedroom, Brad already had a rewrite to undo that awful choice and undeserved injustice to Zende's character. Thank goodness. Finn turns down Bill's offer to get his people to find Steffy ... so he can go back to the office to have his mother drop by? They're really stretching it so that strong, independent woman Steffy can be rescued by a man. Yuk. Steffy tricks Luna into opening the cage and clocks her. Finn can then rush in. Same SINN reunion, just a better way of reaching it, unless you're stuck in the 1950s. From the mouths of Babes: Finn putting all the pieces together reminded me of how Charlie announced that Maya was transgendered after some pills fell out of her purse.

B&B: September 2024 Spoilers
If Stephanie was held captive, she wouldn't need to wait for a man to rescue her. I mean, really, Eric would be use since he'd be looking for a stapler or cheating on her. Stephanie would outsmart her kidnapper. I'm all for a SINN reunion, but it'd be better if Steffy got herself out of the cage and then Finn walks in. Seeing Steffy so completely defeated and without some sort of plan doesn't work for me at all. It's not like Lunacy is Sheila.

'B!tchy' Aunt Li [BAL] only had extreme disdain for Poppy, which seemed centered around Luna's paternity. BAL spitting so much hate led viewers to suspect it was Jack or Finn. Now, it seems it's been common knowledge that Tom was a serious candidate for that title. Really? Even though she's awful, I doubt BAL would hate on her sister that much because she hooked up with a washed-up singer. And Lunacy knew about Tom her whole life, she's always been a gold-digger, but RJ wasn't rich enough, etc. Then there was that weird scene with BAL + $B in her office about the paternity test. Is it safe to say, this is a complete rewrite? I'm not complaining because the murders gave B&B a much-needed jolt with stories actually intertwining like Steffy *leaving* after the Hope kiss. For the past two months, it hasn't been one story that dominates every episode with every character repeating exactly the same thing about that one story!

B&B: August 2024 Spoilers
@Maxim Bridget + Hope are the *same* character! lol You could take every single Bridget story and insert Hope and vice versa. Your assessment is exactly the way I feel about Bridget after AJ took over the role. AJ is fine and solid actor. However, it's obvious Bridget was not treated with the same reverence or potential after JF left the role. And, during all these years away, they could've at least had Bridget get married off-screen and have some kids. Rick and Bridget are the only two characters that are true 'Forresters' and 'Logans' - they both should be on canvas in some capacity.

Seriously, Lame was preaching about kissing a married person? Liam and Steffy are such sanctimonious hypocrites! Please tell me somebody saw them kiss at least one of the two times. This really needs to be exposed. Lunacy's motivation falls flat. I'm glad the writers countered it with Steffy listing all the things Luna had going for her. It's almost as if they'll be another twist down the line. KKL and AN continue to deliver. Their 'you kissed Steffy's husband' scenes have been some of KKL best work.

Brad is really following Bill, Sr.'s template: good girl gone psycho + locking a main character in a cage! It would've been funny if Luna had done it to Brad, I mean, $Bill! Ouch, those scenes with Brooke, Ridge and Finn. Steffy is co-CEO of a major fashion house + didn't bother to tell anyone she's leaving or delegate authority? Ridge just heard his daughter left town because of a marriage issue. As if Ridge and Taylor wouldn't call/text Steffy ASAP. HT looked amazing. It's such a stretch to have $Bill so devoted to Luna after a few weeks. Despite my nitpicking, B&B has returned to being entertaining with multiple stories involving several characters. It's not just the one story of the month with every character repeating the same thing, etc. Hopefully, they keep building on that because the previous 2 years were dreadful.

B&B: August 2024 Spoilers
Actually, Sheila saving Steffy would be logical because Sheila discovered the backpack, etc. Plus Sheila is an expert when it comes to psychos + caging hostages! But if I were Brad, I'd up it further: As Sheila runs out of the pizza joint, Hope joins her. Together they overpower Lunacy and rescue Steffy just as the demolition begins. That would be classic camp and, frankly, classic B&B. Of course only on B&B would a building be demolished without crews conducting multiple sweeps to make sure someone isn't in the building, like squatters, homeless, etc.

B&B: August 2024 Spoilers
The phrasing is Priceless. Yeah, so Steffy's phone hasn't buzzed or rang the entire time she's been gone. Sure, many it was on silent and the battery ran out. We're also expected to believe that Spencer HH doesn't have several 'Marias' cleaning that place daily. Please. Maybe Steffy and Lunacy can have some tea and talk about how they are both coldblooded killers. Funny how the Sugar thing simply disappeared - that would never happen in California.

@1974mdp A few weeks ago, I called the Lunacy excuse for Zende, which is actually a good thing. Clearly, we'll hear how the alter intentionally took Poppy's mints and she likely drugged Zende, the same way she just drugged Steffy. With Bill mentioning how Luna should speak to a professional at the same time Taylor announces she's reopening her practice ... but it'll be quite the family conspiracy if Luna actually did kill Tom + Hollis. I expect a twist to get Luna off the hook and keep her on the show. While Luna isn't perfect, it's been over a decade since B&B has had characters in their 20s that mattered.

B&B: August 2024 Discussion Thread
Yes, Lunacy is cheesy, but it's also very classic Bell Sr. - every 2 years on Y&R - especially 1990s, he'd turn a seemingly *nice* girl psychotic. Steffy outlined almost every relationship to Luna, but I was kinda hoping to hear: 'Luna, you're my husband's first cousin through his adopted mother's sister, who has been living with Bill Spencer, the father of my first husband and grandfather of my first-born child - and the man I saw you kissing!'

@Maxim - I think you're right about why RB was selected out of all the actors that tried for the role. When Brad went the sleepover/drinking wine route, it was a huge turnoff. Taylor/Brooke being civil to each other, I can buy because of their children. Taylor ripping into Brooke absolutely felt right! I wish Brooke and Hope countered when Taylor said Hope: 'Didn’t want to bounce from man to man within the same family...' Hope: 'You mean like Steffy who was married to Liam and Wyatt and slept with their father. Should Aunt Katie be worried about Will?' Brooke: 'Look in the mirror sanctimonious Stephanie Taylor: Nick and Ridge, only to be topped by Eric, Thorne and Rick, my beautiful son!'

Considering this was RB's like 4th or 5th episode, she really kicked butt. RB owned those scenes like she'd been there for years. Yeah, it's going to take me a long time to accept her as *Taylor*, but if keeps rockin' scenes like today, she's a welcome addition. Compare RB's performance to those really bad RJ/Luna scenes. Both actors were so off, it was painful. Love, love, love Steffy witnessing that kiss! I thought she was going to throw-up right there. Guess what, Steffy? Luna is part of your perfect family.
