  1. People have posted that KB is out of the intro and no longer in the credits. It's looking more probably that her contract wasn't renewed and nothing has been set. It seems odd that she'd be removed from the intro only to return soon. Perhaps, this was B&B choosing to have it both ways: KB's exit with the possibility of a return someday, as we all expected.
  2. As the creator of the 'As The World Turns' thread in cancelled soaps, I couldn't be happier with today's news! I'm excited about TG and hope it's the start of soaps slowly returning to daytime!
  3. In that picture, Deacon looks like he could be Finn's dad.
  4. Let me guess: HopN join the search for Sheila. Hope because of Deacon and Finn because of Sheila. Steffy is not amused. Liam is doing Liam and lurking. This could potentially be the *best* storyline since 'why did I drink' or just another new low. It's a tough call. In theory, something along those lines should work... In the long run, this will help SINN because Steffy and Finn will have to fight to regain what they lost. JMW is the star and future of B&B, Steffy meddling in Thomas' affairs is uninspiring. @YRfan23 I hope Sheila was kidnapped by Sugar's crew and not another fake death. The audience has had enough of psychotic Sheila. The romance with Deacon was the first step in *reforming* the character. Why undo that for the same garbage? Making Sheila a *victim* is the next logical step to returning Sheila to a master manipulator rather than this psycho caricature.
  5. @Jeff You're absolutely right about KB's status with the show. It was widely known that KB signed a contract that kept her on until early 2024. It's absolutely plausible that B&B let her contract expire with no guarantee that she would be back. In fact, they may have told her Sheila is done. Even if they said that, do I believe there was a 'Sheila's dead. wink-wink'? Definitely. Sheila being alive certainly generated almost 500 comments on TVLine - that is so far beyond the normal commentary, it's crazy! Honestly, I never believed a soap character could generate that kind of commentary there - especially from B&B. The Halloween tribute episode was one of B&B's highest rated of 2022. Like it or not, Sheila is important to B&B. Honestly, homicidal Sheila never made sense. Sh*tstirrer Sheila is what people loved to watch. Bring that character back, please.
  6. B&B without Sheila or Quinn is the 'Bored & Botoxed' Brad created this mess 2.5 years ago with the illogical 'Why did I drink?' leading to Sheila pulling a gun on Steffy to keep the spiking a secret from Finn. Seriously, of all the sins Sheila has committed, an alleged drink spike (that Thomas knew about) would cause her to shoot Steffy? C'mon. Better: Sheila could've admitted it Steffy and pushed for an alliance. Drunk Brooke breaking up with Ridge so he'd return to Taylor, Steffy would've been tempted by that - just like Thomas. Sheila could've pushed Steffy into by saying: 'Steffy, remember when you shot me in Eric's hotel room? I'm not sure Finn wouldn't look at you the same way. Spiked drink or shooting his mother, which do you think sounds worse?' So many other ways these wretched months could've gone if not for the alley shooting. I doubt any of them would be worse than what we've got now.
  7. *10* seconds ... we're aware, Casey.
  8. It was just posted ... looks like only 3 episodes. I suppose they are saving Sheila *ghost* appearances for May sweeps! lol
  9. Hollis would be hot, but not a Brooke-level scandal. Unless it's revealed that Hollis is the biological child of Eric/Sheila through some *lab chemistry* via Poppy. It's down to Thomas or Liam. But Thomas already had a major thing for Brooke, the special berries. Liam creates the bigger scandal + it'd bring $B and Steffy into the storyline.
  10. @janea4old Thanks for reposting the Nick + Lily scene. I actually watched that episode and thought - how are they not a couple? Talk about unexpected chemistry + they looked great together. I hope Y&R goes there - it would help both characters.
  11. 'She shot us!' I wish Finn would reply: 'You shot her first!' Finn is so in the dark about so many things. It's super odd. He didn't know about $B + Steffy - what a let down when he got over it in a minute. That was a miss opportunity. Finn finding out about Steffy and other Forrester secrets could be incredibly interesting material. Finn has this image that the Forresters are such paragons of virtue and class. It doesn't mean Finn would reject or judge them, but seeing him process it, while at the same time realizing that like Sheila, he will always be an outsider. I always got the impression that Sheila was still *dead* on Y&R. So Sheila's death by bear didn't register, but this did? Bizarre. Eric so slimy celebrating Sheila's death. Sheila was helping Eric when Steffy shot her. Ugh, this show is so frustrating.
  12. AN killed it in that scene with Steff-anie. 'You gonna regret it' aka 'I gonna be banging bouncing bibbity by next week.' Brad has lost it. B&B is the easiest show to course correct. He's done it for years. I'm not sure why we've gone through 2 complete years without a single compelling storyline. Nothing. Bottom line: most of us who are complaining/boycotting are doing it because we miss our show, not because we hate it.
  13. @dragonflies@Soapsuds@Althea Davis That Quinn/Liam clip absolutely reaffirms my claims that Quinn was filling Sheila's role all those years. Seriously, how many Quinn scenes/storylines could've simply been slotted for Sheila? Oh, and I absolutely loved Rena Sofer on B&B - she elevated every single one of her scene partners.
  14. How B&B became this consistently bad during the past two years. That's a mystery I'd really like solved.
  15. @Althea Davis Steffy would be in jail if B&B *remembered* that Steffy shot Sheila in Eric's hotel room (2017). Revealing that would make it a far more interesting story. I'm assuming Finn doesn't know. For him, it would explain why Sheila is *threatened* by Steffy and maybe why Sheila brought a gun to the alley, etc. Sheila agreed to keep quiet for Eric's sake, which makes her a bit more sympathetic. However, B&B only has 'good' and 'toxic' characters - there's not in between, which is a bummer.
  16. @Althea Davis They probably took advantage of the fact that KB's contract was ending. Unlike Rena Sofer or Krista Allen, KB never said that contract negotiations failed or anything like that. That's also why KB is still *haunting* Finn. If B&B ever intends on killing Sheila off for good, why wouldn't they set up a huge murder mystery? So many suspects. Heck, stage a huge bash with characters from Y&R visiting LA to celebrate some FC launch. Sheila crashes the party upping the drama. Close the episode with Sheila's 9-toed dead body floating in the Forrester pool. Just another example of how far B&B has slipped: Steffy is facing potential murder charges, but she's focused on Thope.
  17. This was an interesting tracking week. On Monday and Tuesday, B&B was quite close to Y&R in demos, but the bottom absolutely dropped out of B&B Wed - Fri. I don't think B&B has ever had such a long period where it continues to slide. So many of us longtime viewer don't even want to tune in. I'm not sure what would get me back at this point.
  18. @Althea Davis Hope was morally centered *because* of Brooke! It was absolutely believable that Hope would not want to emulate her mother's choices. In fact, it was one of the best decisions Brad made about the character. While I'm all for Hope evolving, but this is a 180. It's not like there was some shocking event that caused Hope to question her previous choices or even a natural progression. It's like one day she woke up and decided to have a purely physical relationship with her stalker, abuser, etc. Maybe this Thomas fling has been the part of the evolution to make the real shocker - HINN - a tad more believable.
  19. @YRfan23 It's funny so many of us who've stopped watching post because we want the show to be better. What broke my regular viewing: I started watching the Belief/Sheila intro episodes on the B&B YT channel. I kept watching and watching until James/Sheila. Even the worst stuff (Dylan/Jessica, etc.) was far better than anything on today.
  20. @Errol B&B is the only soap that can't do the following: - Social Issues (homeless, Myron, alcoholism, etc.), - Murder Mysteries or Crime for that matter - Court room scenes (even for divorces) or - Medical. It's remarkable that they somehow can't even get basic soap staples a go. No wonder we've been in endless triangle loops for 37 years!
  21. Since P&G is involved, what I would've done is take the 'As The World Turns' branding and built off of that. Same premise as The Gates, except you have huge branding that exists and the ability to launch with some a few of the existing ATWT characters - such as Jessica or Jade. Throw in a couple of legacy characters a legacy family like the Stewarts and pivot from there. It's extremely hard to start from scratch. Reboots have been done successfully in prime time, Hawaii 5-0, SWAT, CSI, etc. It won't happen, but we all know how extremely hard it is for a new soap to launch. Regardless, I'm extremely excited about the show and what seems to be huge backing by the network to make this a success.
  22. Honestly, what B&B needs to do is go back to the Domino's alley from 2022. Turns out Steffy slipped and fell while confronting Sheila, who with Deacon and Finn's help took Steffy to the hospital where she's been in a coma and having these horrific dreams: 9-toes, $B-Sheila-Bunhead, Steffy gaining custody of Douglas for like a day, Thomas/Hope(as if!), Eric obsession with a stapler almost killed him(!), Brooke *rejecting* Hollis(!), some Luna girl, who may be $B, Jack, Finn's(!) daughter, somehow confused Zende with RJ after popping mints(!) etc. Steffy's finally had enough and wills herself to wake up from this trainwreck to find Deacon fell in love with Sheila after saving Steffy's life, Taylor and Ridge got married, Eric passed after he remarried Brooke, who now controls FC, $B is sniffing after Brooke and FC, Thomas is his normal, crazy self. Lope, Katie and Carter are still boring. Quinn, Wyatt, Flo and are somewhere in LA, but nobody cares. And just like every other B&B story that never gets mentioned after they move on to the next one, the show will go on and be the better for it.
  23. Doesn't B&B only follow Y&R in about 50% of the country? In many cities: it's Y&R, local news, B&B. CBS tried to get B&B to expand to an hour in the 90s, but the Bells refused. While that worked when the schedule had 4 soaps, I think it's hurt them during the past decade. The narrow format has really hampered the show's ability to add depth to the canvas. It's the same merry-go-round and that's really burned them since 2021.
  24. @Althea Davis@1974mdp I used to *pitch* that B&B should have the younger characters clubbing, experimenting, fastlife, etc. especially in LA fashion world. After seeing that B&B's average viewer is 70 yo, I understand why that's never happened. If B&B and soaps could draw in younger demos, it could be more Gossip Girl than Golden Girls, but it's not. Of course, I'm sure those watching via Paramount are far younger, but still it's a tough road to draw younger.
  25. Is there a projected launch date for TG? Is it supposed to be ready for to kick off fall 2024 or fall 2025 with the rest of CBS daytime? Launching in the spring is a bad idea - from lower viewing audiences to the multiple pre-emptions on CBS for soccer and basketball. The first two- to three years of a new soap are rough. It takes a while to figure out a rhythm. Look at B&B, Passions, Generations, SoBe, The City and PC. All of them struggled in some fashion whether it was casting, storylines, pacing, etc. When PC finally figured it out, ABC cancelled it. B&B's clearance rate was 90%ish until the early 90s. I wonder how many CBS stations will opt out simply because it's a soap.
