  1. If it's Ridge, they'll rewrite it so that Lunacy was *fantasizing* about RJ, but nothing ever happened. What a mess! Re: FC takeover. The story would be far more interesting if RJ, Rick, Thomas, and, even Bridget were on canvas. RJ truly torn between parents. Rick by Brooke's side, but also angling to swipe the company from Carter for himself! Thomas as HFTF, but is he really a spy and still in love with Hope? Bridget angry at her sister for stealing her father's company. There's no way Bridget would condone Hope stealing Eric's company. Bridget could finally reveal those repressed feelings about Brooke/Deacon. These four characters are canvas-ready with actors the fans know and mostly like. But what do I know?
  2. The Claire/Jordan scenes actually caught my attention. This Claire is so much more interesting than 'Maria' from the Sound of Music. CZ is much better when she's allowed to show vulnerability. Because Jordan and Ian are extreme, the CZ/RW scenes almost have to be OTT. Victoria shaking in her white boots trying to rationalize Claire's ability to flip in such a cold, calculated and lethal way. Meanwhile, Nikki's laissez faire attitude about the whole thing is a bit funny. It's good they kept TGVN out of this for now.
  3. That's the only logical route left. Jack didn't want blood drawn because it would show a familial tie to Lunacy's father. Jack hasn't been on enough to mine any real story. That's a real shame. Jack could've been involved with Taylee or Brooke. Finn does opens up a lot of drama on a lot of fronts. All other potentials are eliminated: - Ridge/Thorne/Nick: no because of RJ via Stephanie/Massimo; Eric: too gross - $B has taken separate tests; Liam -lol - Carter/Justin: obviously no; - Deacon: could've been plausible, but they missed the boat on establishing anything with Poppy months ago.
  4. Definitely being undone. It'll be something like she was being drugged - like GHB - so she was controlled by some random person who'll suddenly appear on the screen. Probably one of Poppy's *random* men who became obsessed with Luna or whatever. Look at how they used Lunacy's actions to undo the ill-conceived Zende mess despite what they showed on air for weeks. Just like Sheila illogically shooting Steffy + Finn over spiked champagne, so many of these stories should've never gone past the 'what if' stage. B&B desperately needs manipulators not murderers to move the story forward.
  5. HA! It's insane. You've got KKL, JMW, HT, AN, KB, SK and DD. Those 7 actors/characters can anchor endless intriguing long-running stories. I can't understand why B&B keeps doing the throw it against the wall stuff: if it stick, it's around for 3 months max; if it doesn't it's wiped out in a month. Ridiculous for a 38-year old show that has plenty of history to mine + fashion/beauty + LA as a backdrop.
  6. Unless Finn is Lunacy's father, how does another off-canvas dad further any story? Especially since Li + Poppy are basically dayplayers. If DD has a contract minimum, certainly he can be put to far better use. He has two grandkids in LA, but would rather spend his time with Lunacy. I'm so glad I went to back to recaps when Remy locked Electra in his apt. This is pure drivel.
  7. The *coup* is exactly the type of story that B&B could mine for months or years. - Brooke as CEO reclaims her righteous place in FC and the industry as FC thrives. - Eric + the Marone spawn decide to create a rival fashion house. Clarke or Sally join them. - Rick returns to support Brooke and protect his legacy as a Forrester, but Eric dangles a different offer. - Thomas returns from Paris and must choose to whether to work for HFTF or FC2. - Zende and recast RJ also have conflicts and choices. Same with Ivy and Electra. - $B wakes up from whatever mints Poppy has been secretly feeding him and decides he wants to play puppetmaster with the fashionistas. Am I the only one seeing this as a rare opportunity to reboot B&B in an exciting way? Reverting to pre-coop would be a dead-end.
  8. YES! Thank you for posting the clip since I'm back to reading recaps. KKL played that perfectly. Oh, and props to TK - his facial expressions and sneer - gave KKL exactly the right cues for the caress/slap. If only Bridge could be put six feet into the ground.
  9. I wonder if it'll be a national pre-emption on Jan 9 for President Carter's National Funeral Service. I seem to recall it's all-day network coverage for past presidents.
  10. TEB and SW both looked amazing in the NYE episodes. Why do I have a feeling we're going to see that foursome swap? Loved the camera sweep as the foursome was leaving going right to Daniel, Danny + Cricket. CG can still deliver when given a chance. It was a good choice to have her in Society looking cautiously looking out at Nick/Ian. It allowed us to see how terrified Mariah is of Ian without her being hysterical.
  11. Luna is spending the 'rest of her sentence' under house arrest at $B's mansion? Did I miss the part where Luna plead guilty and was sentenced? I know LA is extremely lax when it comes to justice for victims, but surely two premeditated murders and a kidnapping would warrant a decades-long term. And, I'm back to reading recaps first before I decide to return to watching.
  12. Liam: "a front-burner story but one that’s completely different for him.” Deacon/Sheila: 'a new story ... it’s going to be something completely different for them.” Answer: Throuple. You're welcome.
  13. Give CM a break. He's been given a lot of material - most of it blah - and airtime in a short period of time. I think he's doing a great job. Plus, you know every time HT looks at him, she's flashing back to Y&R! At least we know why RJ has been missing. And I agree with @dragonflies they should've cast Remy as RJ - he even looks like he could be Ridge's son. B&B definitely was more interesting when suspense was added this summer with Lunacy, but I don't get why they'd stack Lunacy whining with the Remy climax. Why not spread these stories out?
  14. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. We know Jordan is trying to 'reclaim' Claire. Cole will make the ultimate sacrifice to save her. I hope I'm wrong because JEP and AH are a good match. It's the first time since JT that I've enjoyed a Victoria pairing.
  15. The Newman and Abbott household being dressed up for Christmas felt like classic Y&R. Strangely, the set the caught my eye - the Society entrance - it used to look like a dark alley, but the lighting, the snow, etc. make it interesting. Anyone else feels like there's too much love for Cole? Victor accepts him with Victoria, he takes Claire out for her first ride, Victor offers him a job(!). IDK - my soap instincts are kicking in. Who would've thought that SW return was actually the missing piece to unifying the Abbott family in terms of storylines. Jack as a patriarch trying to fill the John role just didn't work until Diane returned. There's enough history and tension with Ashley, Traci and Kyle to make the Abbott house interesting again. Almost like when John/Jill were in that role.
  16. I don't get the acceleration of the Remy reveal. Why has Will been the one pushing for answers and not Ivy? That's completely illogical. Ivy is not only her aunt, but also her boss. Ivy's just been like OK Electra got fired. Um, I thought Ivy needed a skilled assistant to successfully launch the jewelry line. So Ivy's lost her assistant and is completely blase about it? Stupid! Remy is a goner after he snapped back at presumably Deacon about never cleaning the grill again. Why bring him on, get him at job/apt at Ill Pizza Shack only to write him off. This is weird. Meanwhile, we have to listen to Luna whine that she's being mistreated in prison. Honey, ask Tom, Hollis and Steffy how they feel. Watch Finn/Steffy welcome Luna back to the family, while Sheila is a forever pariah. Maybe Sheila will save Electra. Perhaps, Eric will thank her as Steffy rolls her eyes. One last thing: the French singer asks for Brooke. Instead of saying Brooke, as CEO is taking meetings with anybody, the response is Brooke is at *home* taking care of things. WTH? So unbelievably bad writing. The frustrating part is that all of the above stuff could be somewhat compelling with a few tweaks in the writing.
  17. @bongobongIs it any wonder Ivy Forrester is happy about Carter taking over? Good grief. Even though Ivy and Electra live with Eric and Ridge, did they even meet with Ivy regarding Carter/Hope? Nope. Zende. Were they even mentioned on Christmas Eve? Nope. This is just awful writing. If Eric asked Ivy to spy for the family, you know she would. While Ivy/Steffy have issues, Ivy knows Eric supports her unconditionally. She wouldn't betray him. It's just weird. Wouldn't E, R and S get bent out of shape that the *Logans* fired Electra without cause? That's just easy fuel for the fire in this whole story. I simply don't get this.
  18. @soapfan770 Thank you! Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays and a safe, healthy and prosperous 2025!
  19. @ranger1rg Ridge's pen - Hasn't Taylor died twice? Wouldn't Ridge have gotten Taylor's personal effects both times? Or did Taylor rent out a storage space in Bel Air for all this stuff? It would've been better if Taylor gifted Ridge a new shirt (wink, wink). Can someone explain why Bridget is childless? She's rarely on, why not use that time to have her birth a few grandkids for the next generation? At least with Rick, there's always the possibility of the *unknown* kid from a fling. I always thought it would be a good, soapy twist that Bridget was pregnant with Deacon's baby when she left town after she discovered the truth about Deacon and Brooke. She gave the baby up for adoption, etc. @Maxim Thank you! Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays and a more watchable B&B in 2025! lol
  20. At least Brad chose the right history to re-spin - BeLief: 1. Like 1993, Brooke is willing to give FC back to the Forresters because it's the right thing to do. 2. Like 1993, Brooke is betrayed by Ridge. 3. Like 1993, Brooke will wake-up and realize the Forresters don't give a you-know-what about her. Let's hope she doesn't revert soon. This story actually has a lot more potential. More than Ridge, Brooke taking over the CEO position should be to protect her three(!) Forrester children's legacy. The show should explore this angle, especially RJ and Rick. Bridget doesn't care, but it's still her father's company.
  21. B&B's Electra s/l is actually Brad's closest timely 'hit' on a social issue. A bipartisan bill passed to that makes it illegal to post AI/deep fake revenge porn online and requires websites to remove those images within 48 hours. I don't get is why B&B rushed this story. The initial *shock* about what happened to Electra was enough to give us some background on the character. Remy just popped up, got a job and an apt at Ill Pizza and he's already doing this? So strange. This story could have built over months, including ambiguity over whether Remy was the culprit. It could've been Lunacy! Brooke as CEO. I've been calling for it for years. Brooke should be a leader with power at FC - preferably with Steffy. That moves also significantly undercuts the Forrester trio BeLief that Carter was going to run it into the ground because he doesn't know fashion. I hope this sticks for a few months. Now, B&B has one thing left to do: give KKL either the opening or closing shot in the credits. JMcC doesn't deserve to have both. They each should have one. While their tenures are equal, I'm going to be KKL has appeared in far more episodes.
  22. So if Brad decides to extend the FC takeover story, which he should, I can't help but think that Justin was encouraged by someone - $B - to proclaim that Carter's action were bulletproof, which they are clearly not. $B has believable motivation for snatching FC from the Forresters: The Dressmaker, Katie, Will and, of course, Brooke. I'm over emasculated $B! It'd be a fun twist, especially if Brill reunites ('I did it all for you, Brooke!'
  23. We all know Brooke's original 4-week binge drinking because she was *alone* was Brad's failed attempt at a social issue/Emmy bait story. It was so bad that the entire thing was wrapped in 10 weeks. It was a huge mistake to saddle Brooke with this disease and a insult to those who are impacted by the disease. That said, we all know B&B is doesn't do anything random. Brooke could've thrown herself on the couch to cry, instead she went to the rolling bar. After Ridge inevitably does the hot yoga healing with Taylee, Brooke pours a drink, raises it to her mouth, but there a knock on the door... Is it Deacon, $B, Liam, Jack, Finn, Eric, Carter, Thomas or Zende? No, it's Remy(!), who ends up filming his multi-room romp with Brooke. Remy accidentally drops it on the dark web - thinking it's an Electra thing. Fortunately for FC, Will discovers Remy's skilled at deepfakes. Will confides to Katie that the Bremy video is legit. Since Katie knows a scandal guarantees $B will *ride* to Brooke's rescue, she asks Will to keep quiet and let everyone assume his Aunt B is a victim....until two months later when Brooke's flustered gynecologist shows up at the latest Brooke's Bedroom photo shoot. Brooke: "Brad promised I'd never hit menopause.' Gyno: 'Promise kept.'
  24. The past 6 months KKL has been given great material and she just brings it - her convos with Hope about Finn, Brooke's Bedroom and, now, the FC takeover. KKL actually got me to tear up when she read Ridge. Her acting choices were superb. Instead of histrionics and blathering, she served a captivating and believable performance. Of course as Brooke is hovering over those bottled waters ... I kept wondering how long before 2022's "Why did I drink?' is replaced 2025's 'RIDGE, you made me drink!'
  25. @Maxim Updated CBS.com B&B tag line: The Bold and The Beautiful: Drama 1987 'Dive into the high society world of Los Angeles fashion with the Forrester family.' 'Watch all three generations of the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families dive into bed with each other while they repeatedly wax on about how they're culturally, morally, and socially superior.'
