  1. So instead of Eric playing 'pickleball' with Donna while married to Quinn ... Donna is playing 'chess' with Justin! One can only hope.
  2. You deleted the 'in Eric's hotel room.' In 2017, Steffy shot an unarmed Sheila in Eric's hotel room. Eric was living there when he was separated from Quinn. Sheila was there to help him as 'friend'. Steffy came to the hotel with Stephanie's gun. When Sheila reached into her purse to pull out a razor, Steffy shot her. Eric urged Sheila not to press charges against Steffy. It's shocking this never came up during the horrible choice to have Sheila shoot Steffy/Finn.
  3. This is positive news. Glad he's coming back in any capacity.
  4. The Carter - Hope relationship is completely inappropriate. Carter is in a position of power as COO, Hope is not. Carter is in a position to make decisions that can impact Hope's line. They just demonstrated that with Carter reworking the figures - coincidentally now that Carter is interested in Hope, they're *now* favorable.
  5. @ranger1rg Yeah, I fact checked the article that made the 35 claim. It's shaky. I'd bet it was in the upper 40s. In January Deadline published the following: 'The GH average viewer age is up 4 percent from 65.6 to 68.1; Y&R is up 1 percent from 69.6* to 68.7 , and B&B is up 2 percent from 68.2 to 69.4.' Y&R's base number is off. The original article has not been updated. Regardless, they were far higher than I imagined. OC, if you included streaming viewers like me ... it'd drop a bit. Bottom line: is that it does impact what stories the shows can tell.
  6. @ranger1rg Yeah, the average viewer age of the 3 current soaps is close to 70yo. Soaps lost the younger demographic two decades ago. In early 2000s it was 35! It's a different form of SORAS! Maybe a BTG will bring in some new (younger) viewers, but it's doubtful.
  7. @Taoboi I'm floored at how much better AH looks in a *real* video than on Y&R. Not just her looks, but her smile and body movements. Sometimes they've bound Victoria so tightly that it does AH a disservice. With Sharon talking about Cassie death still guiding her actions, it'd be a nice off-shoot to have Mariah start pushing back. Mariah has been so Cassified, it's ridiculous. There's no way Mariah wouldn't be resentful about the dominant mindspace that Cassie has in Sharon's mind. Shoot I resent it when Sharon is whining about Cassie while her miracle Mariah is standing right there. CG can do so much more but she's been trapped in this *unbreakable* marriage. Guess what gay people cheat. If we're talking real equality, give gay couples the exact same relationship challenges. Maybe someday. But, for now, let Mariah go off on her family!
  8. Watching that clip of Pam threatening Donna, reaffirms that Brad used Pam + Quinn as substitutes for Sheila during those off-years. Seriously, can't you *hear* KB as Sheila delivering those lines in that clip? Right now, with Sheila being completely declawed, Brad is pushing Steffy as his 'baddie' - and that simply doesn't work on any level. The show desperately needs a non-psycho baddie to manipulate/threaten/scare in order to push stories forward. We saw a glimpse of that with Lunacy - the show was so much more energetic and engaging. If you're going to have Carter, who is in a position of power, come onto to Hope, it'd be better if he did as a tit-for-tat. This sanitized version of the fashion industry is so bland. Guaranteed in the *real* world, Carter's action would be nefarious. It'd be so much more interesting if Carter was actually allow to be *bad* on occasion - like Justin. Seriously, Carter just got friended by Katie so she could rescue her ex from the Poppy fields. He should be furious that she dumped him on the heels of getting ghosted by Quinn. C'mon - that's a robot, not a human.
  9. Anyone notice SC crack a slight smile when MS was going all Phyllis dramatic mocking everyone being worried about poor Sharon. I will say that killing Heather was not where I expected this story to go. I like VB, but Heather isn't really needed. I'm waiting for Lily to comfort Daniel. That's still the end game for me.
  10. Thursday was not was I was expecting, but as @Maxim has pointed out, this has been a really uneven four weeks since the Lunacy thing wrapped. It's probably because they've done a lot of rewrites. 1. Carter (LSV) + Brooke reaffirmed they should've. Carter + Hope could be interesting, especially because of #2. 2. Katie dumping $B. Thank the heavens. HT really knew how to deliver facts about being $B second choice. 3. Brill! Oh, I was just talking about it earlier this week. I never thought they'd go there again. 4. Cassandra Creech should be on more frequently. If Brill doesn't fly, send her that way or to Deacon. 5. Broken Heart Syndrome is a variation on Widower's Syndrome. Better that diagnosis than the alternative. I really was going to ditch B&B if they went down the dying path. Considering the past 2.5 years have been truly disastrous for B&B, the past two months at least are watchable.
  11. MG continually amazes. Bringing Daniel back was a great move. And I absolutely loved 'Cameron's' commentary about Phick - like falling into bed at the slight hint of crisis! It's kind of funny how so many of 'Cameron's' observations during this story are exactly what the audience is thinking.
  12. @janea4old Thanks for the tip! You're the best! It's a bummer, but makes sense. I was hoping to watching yesterday's episode. Oh well.
  13. Bummer. Looks like CBS.com has pulled full episodes of Y&R. There's only 'clips' now. B&B still has full episodes.
  14. Will and Taylee added, Paris removed, but somehow Lunacy + Poppy are still there. Interesting.
  15. Thank you! It's funny but Steffy has killed two people now + shot an unarmed Sheila in Eric's hotel room, but it's OK. I like AB, but B&B really needs to add folks that aren't blood related to the 3 families. It's just so limiting. If B&B was really bold, Ivy would make a play for $B.
  16. Not since Caroline2 (Lindsey Godfrey), has TK had chemistry with an on-screen partner. Send Brooke back into $B's orbit. Bill was the best partner for Brooke because unlike all the Forrester man, he accepted her with no judgments or conditions. In a fun twist, Will uses some trickery to make that happen since he doesn't want Katie back with $B. The Steffy/Brooke scenes were just weird. Steffy has spent the last few months whining about Hope interfering with her possession Finn, but has no problem disrespecting Bridge. Brad stop undermining the Steffy character.
  17. CM + HT are so enjoyable together. CM has been a great addition to the cast. The Carter/Hope scenes were incredibly disturbing when you look at the context - that Carter is in a position of power. Why do they continue to tarnish Carter? RB is making these ridiculous scenes watchable. Let's hope it's quickly revealed that her European quack was wrong. It'd certainly be a more interesting twist if Taylee is really ok, but continues the hoax. And we know RB can pull that kind of machination off very well.
  18. @JAS0N47 Does that mean Drake last on set in Dec 23 or Jan 24? Gosh, the cast and crew probably have been living with knowing his health was declining for a while. It's just so tragic.
  19. @Taoboi Re: Sharon's meds + your theory. We saw Sharon taking her meds in the hotel room + Cameron said something like that won't change anything. Combined with other clues dropped, it's definitely not bi-polar. SC proves yet again that her talent is underappreciated. IMO, there's no way Sharon would still be around if it weren't for SC's ability to ground and humanize Sharon even under the most bizarre situation. The Cameron scenes could be complete camp - not the good kind - but SC and LA made them work. Even after she *killed* Heather, the clean up, talking to Cameron, dumping on the bridge, etc. SC somehow kept Sharon from turning into a monster or a complete caricature. I hope SC's work is properly recognized by the Emmy's this year.
  20. I had no idea he was ill. And like many others have mentioned, while it was easy to make fun of his acting, especially at the beginning, he kept at it and he was always engaged. You could tell he really appreciated and loved being on the show. My condolences to his family and all those who knew and loved him. It's absolutely tragic.
  21. No way they'd have Sharon kill an innocent woman. Total fakeout. I bet Heather finds Sharon unconscious in the apartment. Sharon will dream the 30th Anniversary episode. It'll likely be Cassie that causes Sharon to snap out of this. The doctors will discover Sharon has a brain tumor or something along those lines that's been causing the Cameron hallucinations. Why? We've already seen Sharon take her meds + that extreme close-up of that *huge* bottle of ibuprofen that Mariah found in her purse. They're not going to undo Sharon managing the bipolar - it was a huge part of resetting Sharon after so many writers destroyed the character.
  22. So far ..... last sightings: - Lunacy confesses all in jail (Sept 6) - Katie apologizes to Poppy at $B's house (Sept 12) Ah, the B&B I love so much stays true to form. Don't disappoint me by bringing them back.
  23. @DramatistDreamer@detroitpiston Killing off Hilary make zero sense on so many levels. Sure, put her in a coma like Phyllis. Devon could've still moved on. Bring her back. In fact, have Amanda first arrive back in town just in time for Devon/Abby wedding. She can get in some good digs at Abby again, but Devon being the sucker, invites Amanda to the wedding. *Amanda* shows up and no one thinks anything of it - until the key moment, when she starts slowly walking down the aisle to reveal she's Hilary. IDC about any of the backstory BS how she was saved, just get Hilary. Diane is a perfect example of how it can work and revive the show.
  24. As soon as Taylee said she didn't see a cardiologist after she got the *diagnosis*, that cinched it for me. Not that I had any doubt that this is just a route to have Brooke step aside so Ridge can marry her. It'll end up being some airborne disease she picked up in some country. Cue: Omar with the rare cure. Plus Taylor is finally being written as the intelligent, compassionate and sophisticated character that we got to know in the early years. RB is killing it. No way they're getting rid of her. B&B has returned to 'repeat the dialogue' in multiple scenes in the same episode. Brooke first flashed back to scene with Taylor from Friday, repeated the content to Eric/Donna and then share it with Ridge. Taylor having an audio flashback of her conversation with Li from earlier in the episodes. I suppose there's comfort in *classic* B&B! lol
