  1. Unfortunately, you are probably right. 🙄😑
  2. Credits for Tuesday, April 29, 2025: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Chris Van Etten, Elizabeth Korte Writers: Micah Steinberg, Stacey Pulwer, Cathy Lepard Director: Gary Tomlin
  3. Jensen Ackles' (ex-Eric, DAYS) new series, Countdown, premieres June 25 on Prime Video.
  4. Me not getting Beyond the Gates today. Does not help my foul mood.
  5. I agree; the show has a history of accommodating their company of actors when it comes to medical problems, whether on a temporary basis or something more ongoing. However, I'm also of the mindset that Benard's ongoing problem feels like he's using it, at times, as a crutch/excuse (again from my opinion... stating in case someone tries to say something, lmao).
  6. Unfortunately, I have the same feelings, and if it is... from my perspective, using it as a crutch/excuse isn't something I personally applaud or accept, and that goes beyond those with mental health struggles, et al. And that's the problem: it does feel, in my opinion, like he's relying on the show to sustain his mental health, when in reality, that is not their job. It's a job, not a health resource. No job should be responsible for sustaining someone's mental health⏤and I mean that in a general sense, no matter your occupation⏤and if you don't have resources to assist you outside of that job, then that's on you, not your employer/place of employment.
  7. This is why Nate Varni needs to go as well; unless both Frank Valentini and Varni are ousted, and Disney ABC puts someone in place who isn't afraid to make moves (and be allowed to make them), nothing is going to happen. Dropping that storyline was ridiculous; from my perspective, it held promise (despite a failing regime), and to drop it because the actor cannot handle it is... a choice. I think that's why the "Smike" (Sonny as Mike) story kind of resonated. It was different and kind of moved Sonny in a possibly viable direction. Was it dragged out? Hell yes, but it was something... new, and it wasn't the same old, same old. I'm not saying resurrect "Smike" (please, do not), but something in that vein of pulling Sonny out of the usual role the character is in would be appreciated.
  8. I read another article, which the timeline alludes to both Sean O'Connor and the dual team of Jon Sen & Kate Oates (not Clenshaw). However, Clenshaw's era is noted, via his relationship with Janine Butcher, but it definitely stemmed from previous producers. From Radio Times: ❝ The Carters joined the soap in 2013 in an iconic Christmas Day duff duff moment, and Dyer explained that up until 2017 "it was incredible" – until things began to change with the introduction of a new producer. "The new producer came in and he didn't like the Carters so he started to sack people, my son [Lee Carter, played by Danny Hatchard], my daughter [Nancy Carter, played by Maddy Hill]," he said. He continued: "They've still got Kellie Bright in it, who played my wife Linda Carter, but then what they done was they split me up with Kellie and they put me with Janine. "So when the producers said to me, 'You're going to be with Janine,' I went, 'Janine? But she murders people.' ❞
  9. Oh, I absolutely agree. But I'm also trying to be considerate of someone who has been very public about their mental health issues and trying to be heartfelt in taking that into consideration. Trust me, I'd love a break from both Maurice Benard and Sonny Corinthos, but if it's at the expense of someone's mental health (Benard), then there needs to be something in place for him (if he's capable) to sustain without being on that set. And I would say the same thing for anyone taking a break from their work/regular routine that could cause some mental distress, et al.
  10. The colour of the couch isn't the problem -- the couch itself and its design is the problem. Had it been more like this: I wouldn't have a problem with it. But the couch, itself, looks dated, beyond used and uncomfortable.
  11. I feel like he'd hate it; he's been pretty honest about how working helps his mental state of mind, and I feel like taking a Geary-style break (which Genie Francis now gets) would result in... something.
  12. I agree; it was a complete change in character. My guess is trying to "dull" up the role of Beth in comparison to Stephanie.

  15. Mm-hmm. Eva, finding this out:
  16. date: Monday, April 28 | Sara A. Bibel, Cheryl Davis | Phideaux Xavier Anita wanting to tour with Dani and Naomi? That could be a hit, but again, it's giving the Return to Love tour. An ugly chair called Herbert? Hell no. It's hideous, and anyone who names a chair? That's not normal at all. Chelsea wanting to talk threesomes with Deadbeat? No, thank you. But uh-oh, Chelsea wants to get to know Allison more. I like that she isn't into labels and is open about being with women prior. That's exciting. I love how much Vernon supports Anita and her dreams; that's what partners should be for each other. Dana, we did not need to know you lost your virginity to the Articulettes. You're a nutjob, and a white-padded cell is awaiting your arrival right now. Now Jacob and Naomi are showing up in the last fifteen minutes for a date night with Ashley and Herbert's lover. Good for Chelsea going after what she wants, and that's Allison. Love that for her. I just hope Allison does not turn her back on Chelsea, or that it does not backfire. Is this all about money with Dana? That's what these flashbacks are giving me right now.

  19. Rouge! That was the restaurant I am thinking about: Well, if Javi sticks around, maybe he could get involved.
