Judith McConnell stepped into the role of Sophia on October 29 (a Monday), and Dane Witherspoon exited the next day, October 30.

Tamara Braun would have been an excellent Victoria Newman. She had the bite that Heather Tom had; in her first months/year, Amelia Heinle was excellent as Victoria, but the moment she became a mother is the moment TPTB stripped Victoria of any edge she had. Josh Kelly could have been better suited for Drew than Cameron Mathison has.

Yes they did; shot in the hallway of CBS Television City, and Phyllis was in some darkly-lit room having just had her hair done. So bad. The one outside set that was nice was Chancellor Park's temporary outdoor set during the summer months!

Graziadei was seen on-set of the shoot when majority of the cast was there. The only one I noticed not to be present was Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe). They likely brought Graziadei in prior to his first filming, to include him in the cast shoot, considering plans were in motion already. His return was announced on September 19, one day before the anniversary/opening credit shoot. Mishael Morgan's exit aired around November 12, and Graziadei retuned November 21. So he wasn't that too early. General Hospital likely did the same thing with Kristina Wagner in 2021. They did both a cast shoot and an opening shoot, and The Young and the Restless has been putting both regular and recurring players in their opening for some time, so it would not surprise me if Morgan also shot an opening shot, in case she returned for episodes here and there. She's always stated she's open to returning if she is needed and her schedule permits her.

This was done in late September 2022. September 20 was when the shoot was done.

Oh no no. That would have looked bad, and everyone would have just melted into the backdrop. It's one of the problems I have with the last two cast shoots they've done.

Definitely an improvement over the 2016 cast shoot, however, I do wish they wouldn't do this glam-looking thing every single time. Not to mention, the cast photo is already outdated, LOL!

An improvement over the 2016 cast image. However, at times, I do wish they'd do cast shoots without the formalwear, and would simply do more every day, characterwear. But this is pretty. But... the fact it is already outdated cast-wise. Whew.

Had they re-upped verDorn to series regular, I am pretty sure he would have stayed and not considered leaving.

They lost: Marj Dusay (who later agreed to stay), Nancy St. Alban, Paul Anthony Stewart, Jerry verDorn & Laura Wright all in the 2005 year after pay cuts were discussed, among others. So, they lost a lot of their core cast that had remained staples of Guiding Light that Wheeler inherited and were now lost. Plus, let's not forget Crystal Chappell being asked out of her contract and said-request being denied. They knew if they lost Chappell they'd be in major trouble.

He was predominately doing primetime guest spots and a TV movie, as well. And in 1991, he landed the primetime series Good & Evil, which only lasted 11 episodes. He was probably securing some good auditions, etc.

This won't be changing anytime soon; Sony dismissed the set crew, so pretty much those community sets are permanently up, with some intermitted-changes for non-community sets.

I feel like, in their final years, Carly & Emily just stopped interacting on As the World Turns, and I can't recall of any instance that might have caused this. Same with Blake & Cassie on Guiding Light.
