  1. Her Diane Jenkins haircut worked until she CHOPPED it! It legitimately looked like she let someone take shears and just Edward Scissorhands her hair. Maura was ever-changing her look. I know she prefers shorter hair on herself, but I always loved the longer look on her. But everyone had those dang baby fringes in the late 1990s/early 2000s. It was all the rage!
  2. After @soapfan770 mentioned Carmen Duncan played Lisa, I went on a hunt... and whew. A decline from 2004 to 2010. Ouch.
  3. I don't get why A) we have returning housewives & B: why aren't we involving other franchises more?
  4. Michael has held a vendetta against Sonny longer for him porking Nina than he did when Sonny killed AJ!
  5. I could have seen Kimberly J. Brown (ex-Chloe) as a Serena recast. I don't know if I'd buy Gina Tognoni as Sarah Webber. I could see her in other roles, though! But I do like this idea. Would be good for the 60th!
  6. That's my thought. Steve Burton's return, along with the D.U.D. storyline... Monaco just looked DONE with working. Plus, I am sure Miller's exit was off-putting for her. Since being paired with Dominic Zamprogna, it does appear some of the spark in her eye is back.
  7. Part of me feels like that's due in-part to Kelly Monaco. Don't ask me why.
  8. Not surprised by this; pretty sure she was only coming for a longer recurring gig, signed to a one-year deal, and she ended up staying an additional year.
  9. LLOYD BOCHNER! First time I've seen him as C.C., and I've got to say: it WORKS! And Ava Lazar!! But weird that they chose Jade as the third character to highlight!
  10. For Douglas Marland, I would definitely say it was his rules of "how NOT to ruin a soap," which are as follows: Watch the show. Learn the history of the show. You would be surprised at the ideas that you can get from the back story of your characters. Read the fan mail. The very characters that are not thrilling to you may be the audience's favorites. Be objective. When I came in to (the show), the first thing I said was, what is pleasing the audience? You have to put your own personal likes and dislikes aside and develop the characters that the audience wants to see. Talk to everyone; writers and actors especially. There may be something in a character's history that will work beautifully for you, and who would know better than the actor who has been playing the role? Don't change a core character. You can certainly give them edges they didn't have before, or give them a logical reason to change their behavior. But when the audience says, "He would never do that," then you have failed. Build new characters slowly. Everyone knows that it takes six months to a year for an audience to care about a new character. Tie them in to existing characters. Don't shove them down the viewers' throats. If you feel staff changes are in order, look within the organization first. P&G (Procter & Gamble) does a lot of promoting from within. Almost all of our producers worked their way up from staff positions, and that means they know the show. Don't fire anyone for six months. I feel very deeply that you should look at the show's canvas before you do anything. Good soap opera is good storytelling. It's very simple.
  11. Haha. And we know how I feel about Terry Lester as Mason!
  12. Do we know why they replaced Carmen Zapata?
  13. He was filming in December 2022, which means we'll see him sometime by the end of the month.
  14. I did, but must have made it too soon considering General Hospital did not air yesterday. Whoops.
