Heather Rattray did well in the role, but her Lily was very different than that of Martha Byrne. The ultimate problem was she did not share the right chemistry with Jon Hensley's Holden that Byrne did. And Noelle Beck was a horrid Lily, and her casting was insulting. I don't blame her. I blame Chris Goutman. The fact we did a dieting pill storyline involving Byrne and then go and cast Beck, who clearly did not embody that kind of previous storyline, left a major sour taste in my mouth.

I agree with all of this. I'm really enjoying the revival, though. They're doing it right, and I know as we get into November and December, it'll pick up more.

I did notice both Brook Lynn & Olivia were dipping into slight accents but, I feel like I do that, too, if I'm watching an Australian or British series. When Brook Lynn answers the door, Lois goes "muther," when I feel like before she would have gone "Mutha". And swapping "your" to "ya" is clearly a choice, haha.

YES! Her return definitely started a storyline that went on for the remainder of the series' run.

I agree: I honestly could not have seen Kelly Monaco as Babe or as Bobbie Eakes' daughter. At all. According to Soapcentral.com, she was up for the role of Nikki Munson on As the World Turns, but she passed because she wanted to stay on the west coast.

I happen to think it's not as strong as the 1990's accent, and I'm A-OK with that. And it's at least more tolerable than Kentucky Fried Martin's accent. 🤣 Ignore them. They obviously troll.
