The accent was gone by the end of the episode; again, when she snaps or is even startled, the accent is turned on and in that moment, her accent snapped on. Not the first time it's happened since the Robin Finch episodes. 👍🏻 As evident from the September 17 episode, where Lois clearly did not have an accent, until she was heated and it "turned on". and then by the end of the episode, the accent was "off":

Well, whenever Lois is mad or upset, her "New York" accent comes out.... 🤐

General Hospital is often delayed in correcting their statuses in their end credits; Mesure was revealed as a series regular at the same time as Kristen Vaganos, and the latter received her first credit as regular long before Mesure did.

I have theories and it's the same one for as to why Rena Sofer was made to drop Lois' accent.

The Bold and the Beautiful week ending October 18 (X) Week of October 14: It’s all familiar territory for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) on The Bold and the Beautiful. After swinging by the Cliff House and peeping in on Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor, Brooke feels the need to confront Taylor. Brooke approaches her and tells her that she knows what she saw, but Taylor clarifies that it is not what she thinks it is. Meanwhile, Eric (John McCook) questions Ridge about what’s really going on with him and Taylor. Over at Il Giardino, Brooke stops by and has a chat with Deacon (Sean Kanan), where she informs him that things are looking up for Hope (Annika Noelle). Speaking of Hope, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) walks in the design office on Hope and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and instantly knows what’s going on. Will she figure it out?

We could also bring Martha Byrne into the discussion with her concession and ultimate axing from As the World Turns. She agreed to the pay cut, as she knew the financial placements World Turns was in and asked for her episode guarantee to remain; as a result, Christopher Goutman put a casting notice out the same day to replace her. Per her quote to Michael Logan, 2008: ❝ This was the situation: Last year, I was asked to take a tremendous pay cut, and I did so willingly because I love ATWT and understood the financial situation the show was facing. I was willing to do anything to keep the show going, including giving up money, so we worked out a one-year contract. I just want something smart and something that looks more than a Windows Movie Maker opening, which is what I feel the Knots Landing openings were. Well, the headshot openings [would] work if they used the same videographer/photographer. A lot of times, they don't, which is why something like General Hospital's present opening keeps looking off. They've switched photographers several times. NGL, I hated this theme. I much preferred the second theme, which felt more soap-like and had more of memorable feel to it.
