After marrying/divorcing the Cassadine family? No. That storyline should've played itself: a Jerome marrying a Cassadine is a power play. When Julian married Alexis... neither really lost their entities, yet Ava has continued to lose who she is at her core. I agree: things needed to change for Ava to become viable in a way outside of the Jerome crime family... but fück she didn't need a lobotomy for it.
