  1. Yeah, her being in it for twenty-nine episodes before she showed up was... a choice? But get that pay-day Ms. Garita.
  2. My first-watch, I liked it, then swapped to Santa Barbara and tried returning to Sunset Beach, and found it beyond jarring. But I am enjoying it again on my second-go (again, forgot where I left off... I remember wooded areas, but felt like I missed out on so much prior). So, I'm re-watching again and it's fun. It's definitely got that Aaron Spelling/E. Duke Vincent vibe that Beverly Hills, 90210 had. The sets were so unique to daytime, as well. You can tell Spelling/Vincent wanted a specific look for the sets, and they worked for a Spelling/Vincent production. But, much like Santa Barbara, I imagine they'd be shells of themselves by the mid-2000's. The first theme is not my favourite; it's a very primetime-feeling opening, almost 90210 feeling. The second theme is my favourite, and then it reminds me of the fall 2005 update Guiding Light got (and I believe they did it more effectively). And the "Shockwave" edit of the theme? Even better. I feel like Vanessa Dorman (Caitlin) got an alt-take update. A few of them did. And I feel like Susan Ward's clip was re-edited to not be as faded. Don't know why, but yeah... it's very clear they taped the "opening" prior to filming of the series. Maybe they did it for [most] cast who auditioned, as a "just in case" kind of thing? And man, the upgrade from Ashley Hamilton to Eddie Cibrian was a WIN!
  3. Cassie's death is one I am alright with, because it is fallout we still feel today.
  4. I totally forgot about: Insane. Absolutely insane. That wouldn't fly in today's daytime world. I'm also wondering... when the Hell was the opening shot? 'Cause Priscilla Garita did not show up until the thirtieth episode, and Adrienne Frantz's hair was never like that in the series. Must've been at casting, etc.
  5. She'll be a baby-making machine off-screen, and then when they want Ciara full-time and recast her, that poor actress...
  6. Same. Plus, we have Ric Lansing right now, and he's far more effective and relevant to the canvas than Scott Baldwin has been. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. They gave that to Adam (via Hope & Victor). Shame. Jack & Nikki (the superior pairing) got robbed of their son, Robert Abbott.
  8. I doubt he wanted to; he was in and out so quick it was like lightening. Probably saw what he was dealing with (executive production/network/co-head), said "Fück this. I'm going back to my peaceful life," and left.

  10. 💯💯💯💯 Some should focus on fan fiction of their own, instead.
  11. Interesting to know the succession of everything. Very, very interesting! Such a shame Wayne never got the chance to re-claim the role. Oh, the triangle we could have had:
  12. Honestly, Roman would not have fit the Possession storyline. That was purely a Drake Hogestyn/John Black storyline. Not at all. And it's no surprise Roman (via recast) pretty much returned post-that storyline, right?!
  13. Exactly and, even after his 2006 exit, he still gave interviews.
  14. Again, the dress isn't the problem: it's the occasion it was worn for. Not appropriate for a funeral/memorial. Should have been a bit more... covered up.
  15. As exampled in the online listing for the top. But, you know Konefal needed to show some skin.
  16. And they have two kids. C'mon now. Is she full breasts out on a boat all-day long? Even Belle & Shawn-Douglas went more dressed when they left for a boat, lmao. And I doubt anything in the wardrobe, from Ciara's past, would have worked. She's been pretty pro-boobs going back to pre-COVID. From 2018: Closest thing that would've been "acceptable."
  17. Or a cardigan of some kind... find a random-ass dress from another actress from the show.
  18. I'm all for showing off her body; she's got a beautiful figure, but for a funeral/memorial? That wasn't it. She was falling out of her outfit, and that's where I'm kind of like, "Girl, it's nice we're seeing what we're seeing but for this occasion? Put 'em away!" And yes, those boobs did open the capsule. One said "open" and the other said "sesame," and it opened.
  19. I know it's Victoria Konefal's thing to wear "revealing" things... but as Ciara, for a funeral/memorial, it felt beyond disrespectful to me that her breasts were just... hanging out at every single angle. I mean, they're beautiful and she is beautiful, but it was not the event to be displaying them in such a way.
  20. Imagine knocking someone aging like a fine-ass wine when you stan someone who has aged like spoilt, sour cheese. 🤣
  21. Credits for Thursday, December 5, 2024: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte, Chris Van Etten Writers: Celena Cipriaso, Kate Hall, Anne Schoettle Director: Nina Kramer
  22. Again, Gio was raised by Francis & Camila Palmieri, who are part of the Cerullo family. So, if part of that family, Sonny could still financially support him, even without knowing he's Dante's son. I said Dante, not Dom. 😉 Actor age ≠ character "age." Again, age in soap operas are subjective and in-universe only. Per story, Sonny left home when he was 16, before Dante was born, which would put his "birth year" at 1984, making him 40 years of age. As of 2021, Sonny's "birth year" was retconned to 1968 (originally 1965, then 1969). If we go based on Sonny's original year of 1965, he would have left in 1981, which would place Dante born earlier. But still, early 40's is where Dante's "birth year" is positioned. Again, this is why focusing on age in soaps is futile. It will never make sense.
