I would also suspect (or assume) the change of guards at the soap (co-executive producer, head writing) has influenced his stance, as well. The question remains: does Kristian Alfonso feel the same as Reckell?

I agree on all accords. While Frank may have made improvements to GH's sets, you can tell the money is lacking, whereas under Jill we couldn't always tell.

The dialogue under Patrick Mulcahey was complex and unpredictable, to a point, and I enjoyed it. He wasn't afraid of trying to make some change.

I agree; I also believe Phelps plays at an "act now, think later" mentality, which is nice but also can be deadly (i.e., the death of Maureen on Guiding Light, the multiple deaths on General Hospital). And I do believe because she is a female, she gets more flack than her male counterparts. I also think she acts from a business standpoint (at times) and not a creative one.

Bill is a smooth-talker, but it wouldn't work on me. These women (Dani, Hayley) need the damn backbone Naomi has. It's about time we got some scenes between Ashley and her mum Jan. I am with Nicole. That anniversary sounds pathetic and boring. And would be even if it were not an anniversary. I'd rather sl*t my wrists. What is it with Bill that has women wrapped up in his hands? Insanity to me. Good on Dani for pouring the booze out. That's the first step (which I am sure she'll take plenty of times). Next week looks insane! Hayley vs. Naomi?! That's going to be fire! And looks like they prepped for this shortened week, too. Loving it.

date: Tuesday, March 18 | Sara A. Bibel & Lynn Martin | Phideaux Xavier I guess the "Kat" is out of the bag, re: Eva wearing Katherine's dress at the gala. Ebony is all over this soap, and I'm not going to lie: I love that idea. It's rich, it's real, and it's brilliant. Jacob & Naomi are leading two very interesting lives; Marcel named his boat but not his wife! And now Naomi has three ladies at lunch! I see. Mike is a creep; he's got to be the one that gets into trouble from the casting breakdown. I love getting more insight into the back story of Anita & Vernon; from their song to how they met, etc. It's wonderful. Hoping to see the Articulettes reunite at some point. Yes, Mike is a creep! A disgusting creep and gives off predatory vibes. Hate him. YUP! We've got the predator storyline coming in. Funny enough, Mike was the name in the character breakdown; it seems like it was the only one that went unchanged from what we saw. But potentially seeing Bill versus Naomi in the courtroom?! That's exciting. My initial regard for Marcel being a no-nonsense, hard-headed man might stem from his previous partner. He got too involved, and it bit him in the ass. I have a feeling this is going to be something to soften him up again in time. Joey being investigated? By Dani's son-in-law? Oh, this is going to set Fairmont Crest ablaze at some point. I know it is, especially since Douglas is involved with Joey and Douglas is married to Vanessa, Nicole's best friend and friend of Dani. Wow. Hayley being ignored by all of the Country Club's workers is brilliant. Katherine & Tómas are working for me more in this episode than the last time they were together. I'm vibing with the vibes that are vibing. If Chelsea quits modeling, I do wonder what she'll end up doing next? Dani, you're settled. I don't think that's going to last very long; I suspect another freakout, if not in today's episode, then tomorrow's. And I see Katherine eyeing Eva. That's the next big catfight at the Country Club. Tómas is a smooth talker. Got to love it. And very confident. Love it. And he's respectful? We love to see it. Oh, well here we go with the bitch-off. I love it. But Eva handled it as well as possible. Vernon: the original "girl dad" and "girl granddad". We love that. The sexual undertones of Eva's conversation with Tómas are smart; you don't get smart dialogue like that in American daytime anymore. It's so refreshing. Eva has Katherine choked! Absolutely choked! Sibling rivalry without even knowing it. Hayley going to go boo-hoo to Bill about her being ignored at the Country Club. Bill about to pull another connection to get his wife noticed as the newest Mrs. Hamilton? Jacob & Naomi are very cute together. I really like their vibes as a couple. Oh there she is. There's the Dani I know and love. Drink that booze, love. Drink it. BOOM CHIKA BOW WOW! Anita & Vernon going home to do the horizontal mambo! We love seeing it. A vital, healthy couple of their stature still engaging in a sexual relationship. Once again, Eva held her own against Katherine. So refreshing. Hayley already backtracking? Wow. Bill, you might've not been so sure about your new wifey, are you? Dani, fix those flickering lights outside of her house, because they annoy me. And passing out on your kitchen door? Honey.
