  1. I don't think the Chanel/Allie love scene was supposed to be hot sex. I thought it was tender, gentle, beautiful, and loving. ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ’—
  2. Robert Newman's acting reel is really good. He last updated the reel 4 years ago. https://robertnewmanonline.com/television-voice-over-reels/
  3. Thanks! I've never seen Guiding Light, so I never had any reason to watch the reunion videos and interviews. Now I'll go look for them!
  4. Tweet from last week. In case anyone wonders what he sounds like now:
  5. Burgi said "I took the necessary five days that the CDC recommended. Not within the showโ€™s guidelines, which is a 10-day protocol. So, I inadvertently violated the showโ€™s COVID rules and protocols." We know that the CDC dropped the quarantine requirement to 5 days before reentering the world. BUT it ALSO added a bullet point stating people who were recently infected should, โ€œAvoid people who are immunocompromised or at high risk for severe disease, and nursing homes and other high-risk settings, until at least after 10 days.โ€ https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html I bet that's why Y&R is keeping the 10-day quarantine requirement. Burgi should not have made an assumption. He should have called the show to ask the rules. ^ and I'm saying that .. *if* you believe his statement, then he still shouldn't have made the assumption. But I don't really believe he told the whole story. Yeah, I agree, there's more to it. His statement sounded very carefully crafted.
  6. Transcript of Burgi's January 11th instagram story: โ€œIโ€™m here in Southern California and I hope wherever you are you are having a good one. I was just about to take a swim in the ocean and I looked something up on Google and I found an article about me getting released by the show by the writers. I just want to set the record straight. My wife had said something about my exit being the showโ€™s choice, which is true, but the reality is I naively and inadvertently violated the showโ€™s COVID policy. I was back east over Christmas and tested positive somewhere around Christmas at my nieceโ€™s house and visiting my 97-year-old mom. I took the necessary five days that the CDC recommended. Not within the showโ€™s guidelines, which is a 10-day protocol. So, I inadvertently violated the showโ€™s COVID rules and protocols. I feel terrible about it. I still do. It bothers me mightily but it is what it is. I respect the showโ€™s decision. Theyโ€™re doing the best they can. We all are. I truly wish the gentleman coming in to play Ashland a wonderful time. Heโ€™s going to be working with the most incredible actress and a great, great cast. Itโ€™s an amazing show. I have nothing but good memories.โ€
  7. Well Paulina caught them at the end of the episode. What I personally liked during the episode was Allie and Chanel's dialog, and deciding to sleep platonically next to one another, but then Allie's heart opened and they made love.. I think this is a love story and not just a hookup. Granted, the sex was barely shown but I think the point was the actual love involved.
  8. Jamey Giddens always wanted to be a writer on daytime. He recently wrote his own nighttime soap Ambitions which was awesome but lasted only one season. Now he's a breakdown writer on Days and says he gets to write one show per week. He seems genuinely thrilled to be doing something he loves. There have to be others out there who love the soap genre and WANT to write.
  9. I've always seen Chanel/Allie as the longterm pairing! They're my favorite part of the show right now. Tripp is dull and useless. He's only there as the safe conventional option that Allie is hiding behind.
  10. Nothing about the conception, birth, or existence of Dominic has been good. It's all been offensive crap around the LGBTQ characters and characters of color ... being of service to rich white clueless entitled Abby, who was upset that she did not conceive after trying for only a few weeks. And then Tessa/Mariah considering adoption which would be wonderful, if it wasn't due to Mariah feeling an empty womb. And then the pings agains Tessa's status. Tessa has stated many times that she is gay. She's not bi. She got together with Noah only as a scam to get money for her sister. She never loved Noah. Yet now they have Noah making eyes at Tessa every day. Devon is made to be the bad guy in the whole sperm donor, womb rental fiasco. Modern families in real life do have sperm donors and gestational surrogates and shared godparents, etc. But Y&R took the potential for a good story and made as offensive as possible. I could say more, but this whole UNENDING storyline makes me angry, and I need to stop thinking about it.
  11. I keep seeing "TA" in the news about Novak. What does that stand for?
  12. On Jan 8th, Rick Hearst posted on instagram that he's running his mother's restaurant in Atlanta. (He has posted about this before). In the current post, he tells anyone in the Atlanta area to come visit him at Nonnaโ€™s Family Kitchen for a delicious meal. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CYe9XKzqPbu/ https://www.nonnasfamilykitchen.com/about
  13. Rick Hearst is COO of his mother's Italian family restaurant in Atlanta. https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/general-hospital/rick-hearst-shares-a-special-message-with-his-fans https://www.instagram.com/tv/CYe9XKzqPbu/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BbAsWObnPYx/ https://www.nonnasfamilykitchen.com/about
  14. I was confused by that headline. I thought they were saying that she objected to having covid protocols. NO. It's the opposite of that. What the article says is she thinks the covid protocols in the schools aren't strong enough - and she wants them to be stronger. They really need to create clearer headlines in tweets. (I've never seen "squid game" so that reference was meaningless to me)
  15. It's Trina. zoomed and brightened:
  16. About 50 years ago, when I was in high school (Yes I'm an older person) ... my dad was into tennis. He played for fun and not at a fancy place. He and I we watched matches on TV, and I learned the scoring terminology. I remember watching Connors, Nฤƒstase, and other stars on TV. My dad took me to a match in the early 1970s -- It was one of these matches at Longwood: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Pro_Tennis_Championships This was kind of big deal for our ordinary family to get tickets. So long ago, that I don't remember who I saw play. But since then, I haven't followed men's tennis. Nowadays, I only follow women's tennis, such as Serena and Naomi. And even with women's tennis, I don't pay a lot of attention -- some but not a lot. I don't even know most of the names of the current male tennis stars, LOL. I rarely visit this thread. I didn't know any of the commotion about Novak until he kept popping up in regular news headlines. So then I started reading in depth about his situation. What an entitled a$$hole. It brings me back to memories of 1970s tennis when a few of the stars were arrogant pricks. I don't know how some of them would've handled the current Covid guidelines, but I suppose they might have been just as stupid as Novak.
  17. Novak whining about detention. Meanwhile that's happening and it's not reported about much. (Sorry for being off-topic from tennis. Just commenting on how entitled Novak seems to think he is.)
  18. Wow this whole twitter thread is more examples of the same. SMH
