  1. Neilsen does measure streaming but I don't know enough to discuss it. Perhaps @Toups could create an article on how Days performs on Peacock?
  2. Here is their "about" page: https://televisionstats.com/about Quote: Since direct viewer data isn't available, we look at audience activity across the Internet. By seeing how engaged and active an audience is, we can get a clear look into the popularity and success of individual TV shows. We can then compare those shows across networks and streamers. End quote. It doesn't say how they gather their data. Are there scientific methods to measure "audience activity across the Internet"? What is that? The number of times things are mentioned on google, in blogs, on social media? in comments replying to articles? I don't mind reading data, but I just want to know its source. Regardless, what viewers say online is does not reflect the vast majority of viewers ... who don't talk about their shows online.
  3. Yeah I asked myself why did I spend all that time typing that up? ROFL.
  4. Looks like she booked that CBS primetime recurring role on Good Sam ... just a few weeks after this interview came out. The youtube was posted Dec. 2021 and her Good Sam role was announced in Feb. 2022.
  5. Okay I was wrong in *some* of what I said. Gotta admit it when I mess up. Clarification/correction with FACTS: The tweet of a tiktok was taken from a December 2021 youtube interview. The actual interview is 55 minutes long. The tiktok has only 5 minutes of the interview. She says she forgave MTS and MS -- and knows that forgiveness is important and one must move on. She spoke about those past events in the historical context of the rest of the conversation. NOTE: 90% of the interview was VR talking strongly about transforming the industry. And she has *receipts* - the amount of viewers, demographics, and DOLLARS involved. It's actually a very upbeat and positive interview. I just watched the whole thing and I was captivated. I usually doze off during things like this but I was really interested in the entire 55 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDbpO6kF-UY I was right that the tiktok account grabbed only the 5 minutes that would get chatter/clicks, and gave no context at all about any of it. They didn't credit the original youtube either. But even the youtube account had a weird title for this video. It gave it a title referencing VR being spat upon, so I guess that's what the tiktokker glommed onto. Why didn't the youtuber title it "VR talks about Black empowerment in television and films" ? I found the youtube today ... because the original interviewer later saw the tweet from chris.evans.notcapnamerica -- and the interviewer replied to his tweet with the link to her youtube. Another correction to my earlier posts: I said Victoria Rowell doesn't look like that anymore, which is true ... But I had forgotten that she often wears that particular wig when she's being interviewed about Y&R stuff. I remember she said that during the pandemic reruns in summer 2020, that she said she wears the wig in certain circumstances because people know her as Drucilla. The person interviewing VR was a Y&R fan, so it makes sense that VR wore that wig. However, in regular life, VR's hairstyle and color is very different.
  6. Going back to the three ghosts from Halloween 2021. Charlie was reused in various ways since then as I detailed above. Nick and Deimos haven't been used since Halloween 2021. I wondered why Ron chose Nick for the 2023 otherworld storyline. Mike Manning last appeared on Days in Dec. 2022, which would have been taped in late June 2022. I bet Manning wasn't available for the current Days storyline which would have filmed in August 2022. At some point in 2022, Mike Manning was filming Season 7 of The Bay. The Bay was filming in California, but also on location in Puerto Rico. I don't know when they filmed Season 7 but it started airing in Dec. 2022, so Season 7 probably filmed in summer or autumn 2022. Regarding Deimos. Vincent Irizarry appeared on BoldandBeautiful for one episode in late July 2022 when his doctor character was helping Li Finnegan. That episode would have filmed in June 2022. It was odd that it was only one episode. Maybe Irizarry thought it would be more, and assumed he'd be unavailable to Days. Or maybe Ron didn't ask Irizarry to return. I guess Blake Berris was available, so DAYS used him for the current story, and that's all there is to it. Ron will use anyone for these roles.
  7. Continuing with something I said earlier in this thread ... MarlenaDevil raised Charlie, Nick, and Deimos from the dead on Halloween 2021. As a result, Charlie scared Tripp, Nick scared Gabi, and Deimos scared Nicole. But that was apparently a completely unrelated storyline. I checked the soapcentral recaps for early November 2021 to see the rest of the Halloween 2021 story. The three ghosts had physical forms that could be touched. Gabi and Jake reburied Nick in his grave. Apparently GhostDeimos vanished with no explanation at that time and wasn't seen again. And GhostCharlie vanished with no explanation at that time. In May 2022, the AllieDevil raised GhostCharlie from the grave for two episodes when Ciara was giving birth - the devil tried to steal the baby. SpiritBo chased away the Devil, so the Devil stopped bothering to support GhostCharlie being in physical form -- and Tripp destroyed GhostCharlie with a baseball bat, and GhostCharlie fell into ashes. May 2022 was completely unrelated to the Halloween 202l story. But it was still part of the entire many-month Possession storyline. For Halloween 2022, "Charlie" began "appearing" to Ava in the DiMera crypt and continued "appearing" until Ava was committed to Bayview in Dec. 2022. The three Charlie stories: Halloween 2021 GhostCharlie, May 2022 GhostCharlie, Halloween-December 2022 CharlieAppearingToAva. These three stories all seem to be unrelated plot devices.
  8. The viewers did see ... that Ava really was seeing a VisionOfCharlie, so Ava didn't lie about that. But what was *actually* happening, who knows. I think Ron left it as ambiguous what was happening with Ava. Several possibilities: Ava had become a "GoodReformedLady" making Italian dinners for Rafe. Rafe wanting Nicole made Ava snap. CharlieEntity was actually present as a demon, manipulating Ava, and she was helpless against it, So literally "the devil made her do it, or persuaded her to do it". Charlie wasn't there at all, and Ava is a good person who simply had a psychotic break. Ava is evil and wanted to rationalize her acts, and willingly cooperated with the UndeadCharlie she was seeing or imagined she saw, to the point that he began to feel real to her. A variation on any of the above. Re: Tamara Braun. ... On the airdate of the episode a couple months ago when Ava was first committed to Bayview, Tamara Braun posted on her social media something about that being the end for Ava, or that was the end of TB's run on DAYS. It seemed TB was saying she was done airing. (TB didn't use those words exactly, because nobody is ever completely gone from a soap, and they have to have wiggleroom to bring an actor back later on.) But TB certainly implied she was done. TB last aired Dec. 20, 2022. She's still appearing in the contract credits as Ava. There have been other DAYS actors in the past few years who continued appearing in the contract credits for months after they finished, so it could be an error. Or maybe they are still paying her for the rest of whatever 13-week contract cycle she was in when she left. Maybe Ava will appear in someone's flashback soon, and then they'll remove TB from the credits. Since Kayla "died" and Tripp returned to Salem to comfort Steve, Tripp has gone to visit Ava at Bayview, at least twice. On Fri. Feb. 3, Tripp told Wendy he decided to stay in Salem instead of returning to Seattle -- because of Ava. Maybe UnhingedAva and UndeadCharlie will return as a part of the current otherworldly demon storyline.
  9. You are making sense .. by saying it doesn't make sense! It's completely random that the entity the women have encountered looks like Nick. There has been no lead-up to this. And he's never appeared in this function before. MarlenaDevil raised Charlie, Nick, and Deimos from the dead on Halloween 2021. As a result, Charlie scared Tripp, Nick scared Gabi, and Deimos scared Nicole. But that was apparently a completely unrelated storyline. Ava continued seeing visions of DeadCharlie for months, and her mind used her visions of him as rationalization for the terrible crap she already wanted to do, by telling herself Charlie convinced her to do it. But that was unrelated to the other ghosts who were raised from the grave on Halloween 2021. Nick's appearance in February 2023 in some otherworld as a demon ... is random. It seems like Ron decided ... we need someone to play the demon holding the three ladies captive. What random actor can I use for this? I need a former Days actor who is currently unemployed, who is available? Yeah "Nick" is just a form the devil is using, but it doesn't mean anything.
  10. The tweeted list of guest stars with its photos was derived from Jason47's page where he listed the credits: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=608822784590795
  11. Fyi. Matt Ashford (who plays Newspaper reporter publisher Jack Deveraux on DAYS) has a daughter Grace Ashford who is a *real life newspaper reporter* for the NYTimes, and she has written a series of at least 18 investigative reports into George Santos for NYT. Her articles are here: https://www.nytimes.com/by/grace-ashford Click "show more" to go all the way back to her first article on Santos dated Dec. 19. You can put each article's URL into https://archive.is to read it without a paywall. Ms. Ashford's Jan. 5, 2023 report is a podcast. To listen to Ms. Ashford's Jan. 5 podcast about Santos, go here without a login: https://tinyurl.com/AsfordSantosNYTpodcast Of course that report is old news by now ... I simply found it interesting to hear her voice. The rest of her reports are articles.
  12. Wendy runs the DiMera IT department. It's stupid that she's still sleeping on Allie's couch after months of being in Salem. You'd think she could afford her own place by now. I get that they want all the young people living together but she should be able to afford something with her own bedroom.
  13. Marlena's obit was crap because Gwen Rizczech wrote it. She runs the Spectator now. (Well Jack just fired her but she was running it when the obit ran).
  14. I prefer Laura with Kevin. I think they fit well.
  15. For week of Feb. 6. Julie is in the spoilers but not in the credits. Doug is in the credits but not in the spoilers. I assume they are both on.
  16. As I said above, it's a very very very old interview, she hasn't continued bringing all that up, and she has worked something out with CBS. I agree that the awareness helps... and I don't want to glorify Y&R. The racism is still there now, quite obviously. Clearly many on twitter, and even inside this thread, had no idea that this horrid stuff happened. But the tiktok channel gave no context about how long ago the interview was recorded, and gave no report about how VR has worked since then to change the system. And I doubt the tiktok channel bothered to research what they posted. Nor did they post how VR is a dynamo who created her own successful career after she left Y&R.
  17. That Victoria Rowell interview is many many years old. She hasn't spoken about that stuff for a very long time. That tiktok channel posts anything to attract viewers. VR doesn't look like that anymore. VR has a successful career producing her own films and series and stars in some of them. FURTHERMORE. She appeared on Y&R 3 years ago in the tribute show to Kristoff St. John. It was a regular episode (i.e. airing on regular channels in regular timeslot) but the actors appeared as themselves and not as their characters. When Y&R ran old Winters family episodes during the summer 2020 pandemic reruns, VR tweeted in promotion. AND just last year, she recurred in the CBS primetime series "Good Sam". She would probably still be appearing in it, but the series was cancelled. Ms. Rowell's main goal/hope was that the network would hire POC in management. She long ago stopped talking about herself personally and changed her focus to the bigger picture of transforming the system. Obviously she made her peace with CBS or she wouldn't have done the appearances I just mentioned.
  18. FYI, the previous issue of SOD said Chandler was done with this arc, as Will had left town to work on a movie. The new issue of SOD says whoops, he actually appears a few more times before the end of this arc. (I know this isn't a spoiler thread. I just wanted to clarify that one thing.)
  19. For an *uplifting* video of Tyre Nichols: Here he is skateboarding - a true artist. His mother stated "we want to build a memorial skate park for Tyre, in honor of his love for skating and sunsets. ❤️ " The original youtube from 2010:
  20. Jamey is a breakdown writer for Days, not a scriptwriter. He usually does one breakdown a week. He tweeted that he did today (Feb 3) Today (Feb 3) episode's script was written by Carolyn Culliton Edit, I see that was just posted above.
  21. FYI, it's been only two Salem days since Marlena died. Each Salem day has aired over almost a week of episodes.
  22. In reply to several posts asking where Shawn is ... Remember Claire had some mental health issues several years ago. Later on, Claire moved to South Africa to try a new life, hanging out with Theo Carver and JJ Deveraux who had already moved there. Belle and Shawn went to South Africa to visit Claire for the Christmas 2022 holidays. Belle returned to Salem alone, in the Jan. 19 episode when word came that Marlena was critically ill. She arrived in a hurry on the Titan jet. Quoting Belle from Jan. 19 episode: Well, Shawn asked Victor to send the Titan jet. I’m sure he’ll be cranky as hell when I try to thank him for it, but it was very sweet nonetheless. How's Claire? Oh, she’s good. She’s okay. She, uh, she sends her love, she knows about, uh, Kayla and Kate, so Shawn and I thought it would be best if she stayed in Johannesburg in case she needs some extra therapy sessions. And Shawn sends his love too. But he wanted to stay with her. We don't want her to have any setbacks. -------- (Sad dialog filmed before John Aniston died, so Belle will never get a chance to thank Victor onscreen.)
  23. I think Ashley might live in Paris? I believe that's the construct the show uses because Eileen doesn't want to work full time.
