WTF is this dialog? Today (Thurs 9 Feb), Leo and Gwen are discussing her disappointment with Xander. Leo - "Tis better to have loved and lost… something… something. Shakespeare said that." Gwen - "Actually Tennyson said that, but I appreciate your efforts." Leo - "Really?" Gwen - "Mmm." Leo - "Huh, and I was a theater queen in high school. I guess I was too distracted trying to turn all the boys who didn't know they were gay yet." Script by David Kreizman.- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Ah. your explanation makes much more sense than mine. Thanks! It never occurred to me that two bedrooms would have an door directly between them that could be used without using the hallway, AND also both have doors to the hallway. But why not?- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Allie's apartment has two bedrooms. Allie seems to have the master bedroom (which she shared with Chanel) and there is Henry's bedroom. The "office" is apparently an alcove or large closet type area off of Allie's bedroom - they didn't say that specifically but Alex and Allie emerged together from Allie's room, so that's how I interpreted it - either the office is an alcove off the master bedroom, or it's a tiny room off the master bedroom. Whatever the office is, it seems to be accessible only via the master bedroom. The office has never been mentioned before last week. It wasn't mentioned when it was Eric and Nicole's apartment. I'm just assuming that the office is a part of the master bedroom suite or an alcove of the master bedroom, because that's the only explanation of what we saw. If Alex had been in an entirely separate room, he would have emerged from that separate room, but he didn't. He emerged from Allie's room. Wendy has been sleeping on the couch since she first moved in. Johnny first asked Allie and Chanel if Wendy could stay there months ago, and the agreement back then was that Wendy would sleep on the couch. And Wendy was asleep on the couch the other day when Alex and Allie emerged from the master bedroom.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

I don't like Tripp. I hate that other characters say he's great. I know a lot of you like him but I don't. We all have different opinions, and I'm stating mine. Victoria Grace seems like a good actress. I really hate that they are wasting Wendy as a talk-to. I'd ask for Wendy to be given something exciting to do, but Carlivati would probably ruin her. So weird to see McCarthy in what I've come to think of Pelosi's chair on the dais.- The Politics Thread
Biden's speech had an interesting strategy. He started off with a lot of older more conventional Democrat values of the working class and labor unions and working families, social security, medicare, and the cost of prescriptions, etc. He outlined all the bills that have been passed so far in his administration. And the fact that unemployment is at 3.4% which is approximately a 50-year low. After talking about all that for quite a long time, to get middle America listening, then he finally started talking about abortion rights, trans rights, climate change, and transforming policing. I think all of that is dear to his heart and he usually talks about a lot of that right away. But there was a tough room tonight, so he chose (or his speechwriter chose) to ease into it.- The Politics Thread

World news ... 7.8 and 7.7 earthquakes near Turkey/Syria border (one in Turkey and one in Syria) and also large aftershocks, starting Monday Feb. 5 local time. Over 3,800 people have died (in both countries combined) and the death toll is rising rapidly. The World Health Organization says the death toll could possibly rise to as high as 20,000 people. By the time you read this post, the info will be out of date.- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread

From @JAS0N47's average estimate of taping date to air date https://jason47.com/days/productionschedule.html Yeah we're starting to see stuff filmed around the time the Peacock switch was announced. But we also know that things are often filmed very much out of order. They film according to what sets are being used, what crew is on, what actors are available, and covid grouping guidelines. Special events like weddings/funerals/parties or explosions are filmed at special times offschedule when the set, actors, and special crew are available. The show uses the wiggle room to be a week, month, or two months earlier or later than the average production schedule when needed -- if you are talking strictly the taping-to-airdate gap. It was evident a couple of weeks ago when Nicole had a hairstyle change within an episode, and Will had a hairstyle change within an episode - obviously the taping dates of their scenes were not on the same day, and maybe not the same week or month. Some episodes were taped longer ago than the average tape/airdate gap, so they were already taped *before* the switch to Peacock. Some things were taped more recently than the average tape/airdate gap, so they would have been taped *after* the switch to Peacock. But most things follow the schedule, so a lot of what's starting to air now was filmed around the time of the switch to Peacock. Writing: As Errol said, they haven't started airing episodes *written* for Peacock yet - they are still airing episodes written for NBC. (Unless Ron made a small exception here and there, to write in a small change, which the show can rarely do). It used to be a two-month gap between writing date and taping date. Not sure what that writing-to-taping timegap is now. Editing: As we know: The episodes written for NBC were written to be 36 or 37 minutes long. They always planned it out in the script to be that length, but when filming, it would sometimes end up being longer or shorter than expected. They used to be required to cut scenes from a long episode to make an episode be 36 or 37 minutes long. And if the episode came out too short, they'd tape a filler scene or insert a flashback to make the total length be 36 or 37 minutes. Regardless of when taped, they still have several months between taping date and airdate, during which the editing process happens. So we've been seeing episodes *edited for Peacock* for a month or two now. Hence the variable length of episodes for a while now -- the exact number of minutes have already been discussed in detail and I won't repeat. The rooftop greenscreen was filmed at L.A. Castle Studios, and aired Jan. 20 and 23. From Jason's *average* https://jason47.com/days/productionschedule.html ... If following that average, Jan 20-23 would have been filmed the first week of August ... but as I said in an earlier paragraph, that's only an average, and things are filmed out of order depending on sets, personnel, crew, etc. Obviously the rooftop scene was filmed later than what's in the average tape/airdate gap ... it must have been filmed after DAYS knew they were switching to Peacock and had the money for it. We aren't seeing stuff written for Peacock yet, except obviously the rooftop scene would've been written for Peacock. Or maybe the rooftop scene was written differently for NBC and then changed/enhanced for Peacock.- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Ah. I just looked at tvseasonspoilers.com again, and at the bottom of the page it says "designed by Winacle". The winacle.net website lists tvseasonspoilers.com as one of their brands. I see that winacle.net says at the bottom of their page: "India based highly creative media house".- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread

TV Insider interview dated Jan. 23. It's one of the many interviews Deidre and RSW gave at the TCAs - they were representing Peacock and DAYS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YiS2YYVvXU RSW says in the first minute "We're number one on Peacock, someone just sent me that". RSW didn't say who sent it to him. @Toups or @Errol Do you have any info on how to tell how Days is faring (in ratings or whatever numbers) on Peacock?- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
This was at the TCA event where Deidre and RSW gave a ton of press interviews. They were there to promote DAYS for Peacock. It was their job to hype the show. I wonder who had "just sent" RSW the info? Was it from a Peacock exec or DAYS producer? or was it from twitter or a fan? Deidre and RSW did a lot of interviews that day (you can recognize them because Deidre is wearing the same outfit in them all). They did interviews in person at the TCA event, and also Deidre did some interviews via video chat on various TV stations, etc. I don't have the time/energy/inclination to look them all up. I would be curious what they say in them all about how Days is faring on Peacock. I'm going to follow up with this on Toups' ratings thread. I'll ask there if @Toups or @Errol knows how it's determined how DAYS is doing on Peacock.- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Oops, I made typo. It was from Sept. 9, not Sept. 6. Edit to add: It was a Sept. 9 soaps.com article that was restating things from Tony Moore doing a Soapcentral interview. (Tony was working for soapcentral for a special thing that day). This is the the Sept 7 interview by Tony Moore for soapcentral: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9OVu8n8PoI That was restated by soaps.com in their Sept 9 article. https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/645498/days-of-our-lives-cast-react-to-move-from-nbc-to-streaming-peacock/ And a restating of that Sept. 9 soaps.com article was inserted into the mess of the tvseasonspoilers.com item.- Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Why are you quoting tvseasonsspoilers.com ? Their article claims they were citing RSW in TVLine and also mentioned something from soaps.com. But no. I looked it up. They were mentioning something RSW said on TVInsider (not TVLine). As far as I can tell, TVLine hasn't interviewed RSW since before the switch to Peacock. I found the TV Insider interview on youtube. It's from Jan. 23. It's one of the many interviews Deidre and RSW gave at the TCAs. They were at the TCAs representing Peacock and DAYS. RSW said "We're number one on Peacock, someone just sent me that". RSW didn't say who sent it to him. This is the TV Insider interview, from Jan. 23. He says it in the first minute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YiS2YYVvXU The tvseasonsspoilers.com article also mentioned a soaps.com interview with several cast about the switch to Peacock. but that interview was from Sept 6, 2022. https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/645498/days-of-our-lives-cast-react-to-move-from-nbc-to-streaming-peacock/ (edit to correct myself, it was Sept. 9, not Sept. 6).- LATEST DEMO RATINGS: January 16-20, 2023
