  1. Now that Peyton's first scenes have aired, I can post this link to his interview (which was already posted on a spoiler thread) https://www.tvinsider.com/1164226/days-of-our-lives-doug-williams-iii-peyton-meyer-interview/ There's nothing spoilerish now (unless anyone reading is a few days behind, then don't click to see the photos). I'll just quote the relevant passage here: Meyer was excited to see that his first episode was also a milestone for the 59-year-old show. “When I got the script, I saw that it was episode 15,000, and I was like, ‘Oh, my, this is insane. Huge celebration for the cast and the crew. This is kind of cool that this is my first episode,’ ” he recalls. “So I walked on set with the excitement, obviously, of a new show and meeting a whole bunch of new people.” But the mood at the studio caught him off-guard. While he was thrilled to be starting his Days run, the cast was not only saying goodbye to Doug Williams but also to his portrayer, Bill Hayes, who passed away in January after 54 years on the show. “When I got on set, it was really down,” Meyer relays. “The energy was really low and I had no idea what was going on. We ended up filming the scenes and after, one of the crew members came up to me and she was like, ‘Just so you know, this is a very emotional day today and the fact that you were able to do that scene and carry a positive attitude into the set was so amazing to watch because I don’t know if you know what’s going on, but it’s very heavy today so thank you for coming in so professionally.’ I think it kind of worked better that I wasn’t fully aware of everything that was going on.” end quote from tvinsider. My thoughts: Not only did the show forget to tell the actor Peyton how the former character Robert's name should be pronounced -- it sounds like the show didn't tell him anything important at all!
  2. For anyone unaware, Cady McClain is the artistic director of a theater in New York. She can do occasional visits to California for filming but I don't think she wants to work full time in Los Angeles. https://www.axialtheatre.org/whoweare Her work at the Axial Theatre has been her main job for several years. (In the summer of 2023, she acted in a summer theatre show in New Jersey) Cady was married to Jon Lindstrom for a long time and they were bicoastal with homes in Calif and NY. Since they announced their separation 8 months ago, she's mostly in NY. She is now also teaching acting in New York https://michaelhowardstudios.com/our-instructors/cady-mcclain/
  3. Ewww to the idea of Sonny with Alexis. Just no. Alexis deserves better.
  4. Agreed that Annika does really well with the awful stuff they write.
  5. There was an interview from April when these scenes were filmed. I think Ron said some things were being rewritten almost up to the day of filming, as they were trying to include returning cast schedules etc
  6. More pics: Soaphub labeled these pics for Dec. 4 but apparently at least some are for Dec. 5? Hope at the cemetery. https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/preview-shocked-hope-sees-doug-williams-iii-plus-where-shawn-belle-stand/
  7. not a typo. There are spoiler pics of Steve Olson and Leo Stark interacting in the square. Soaphup labeled these pics as Dec 3 but apparently it should say Dec. 4 https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/days-of-our-lives-spoilers-preview-shawn-visits-belle-plus-leo-and-steve/
  8. from Christie Clark https://www.instagram.com/p/DDIVy0XxtcA/ monkeywenches (Christie Clark) Wayne Northrop was the most gloriously funny cowboy who adored his family! So,very sorry for your loss Lynn, Hank, Grady & @deidrehall_official & all the days fans & my days family. Wayne had me in stitches nearly every time the stage mangers called action. This kept me on my toes & taught me to enjoy the ride. Drake & Wayne played the same part & had a similar vein running thru their blood, family first, enjoy every morsel of life & if you can make folks laugh.
  9. https://www.instagram.com/p/DDIKE3Pyf1x/ December 3, 2024 billsusanhayes For all of you who have joined me in spirit through the days of Billy’s passing and Doug’s memorial on Days of Our Lives, I thank you ❤️ It was a privilege to share my joy in his life with so many via television. Our Corday Family honored us with a particular love story that began 54 years ago in front of a television camera and ended there, too. How amazing! My darling was a steadfast, inspiring father to five children. He helped build a hospital in Africa, starred on Broadway for Rodgers and Hammerstein, conducted choirs… and I could never tell you the half of it. He held me up with love so true. That’s all that keeps me or Julie standing now… recalling those glorious yesterdays and looking forward to more tomorrows. #DougandJulie #BillHayes (adding extra spacing to prevent the random thing that happens on SON sometimes when IG posts bleed down into the following post)

  12. NYTimes obit https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/01/arts/television/wayne-northrop-dead.html Here is a non-paywall copy of his NY Times obit: https://archive.is/bE9Uh I see that the NYTimes didn't really know a lot because they seemed to assume that Alex North was as relevant as Roman Brady, and they quoted the soaps.com bio of Alex North.
  13. https://www.instagram.com/p/DC7asm-yuf0/ November 28, 2024 eliacantu Wow talk about a Thanksgiving #throwback! 😳😄 I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was so chaotic! Bright-eyed & bushy tailed little me meeting @alroker on the @todayshow —serving small town kid meets big city vibes! Lol It was my first time in New York, performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with my cheer squad. First time flying on a plane too, from CA to NY. I was nervous & freezing in my earmuffs, but I’ve learned something important over the years: even if you’re scared, nervous, or shy- go for it! Fortune favors the bold. Feeling so thankful for this journey. 🙏🏽❤️ Happy Thanksgiving to you all. May it be filled with love, gratitude, and peace. xoxo Fun fact: This is around the time when I started watching #daysofourlives. Talk about full circle! 😁🫶🏽⏳ @peacock #days #dool #eliacantu #jadahunter #thanksgiving #macysthanksgivingdayparade #gratitude #90snostalgia #newyorkcity #alroker #todayshow (click on the image to see the video of Al Roker talking to teen Elia Cantu) .
  14. quoting myself from the prior thread regarding Kirsten Storms and health: update: https://www.instagram.com/kirstenstorms/p/DC0wCj7x_By November 25, 2024 kirstenstorms Parts of this workout are not my favorite, but I can appreciate that the more I do these exercises the better I get at them. I’ve learned to enjoy starting my day with something that physically challenges me and is also an emotional cleanse of sorts. It feels good to prioritize myself…and have biceps. (They’re small, but they are there.) Oh, and I edited out the parts where I’m talking [!@#$%^&*]. That made this video a whopping 48 seconds. 🙆🏼‍♀️ @akxeacademy _______________________________ ^ watch her video, it's great. adding extra spacing so that the embeded IG doesn't bleed into the following post

  16. Well apparently it changed for JS when he married and had kids, too, per what his wife Lauren said on the interview from last month. Josh could go do movies and series on any of those Christian networks with his wife Lauren. But yes for Amanda, she is in the observant practice of a form of Judaism. I don't know what entertainment company/network/platform would honor that -- while giving her worthwhile roles. I assume that there must be something, but I am not familiar with all the companies out there. When Ellen Travolta first returned as Lois' mother, now Brook Lynn's grandmother, Ellen gave this interview in November 2023, and discussed Amanda: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-ellen-travolta-previews-glorias-general-hospital-return/ Travolta quickly developed an affection for her on-screen granddaughter, Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn). <snip> "Well, she is an absolutely beautiful, fabulous young woman. Very bright, very committed. Her personal life is very important to her and she honors it."
  17. Josh's real-life wife Lauren York Swickard (aka Lorynn York) is a producer/writer/actor. When Gladys Corbin arranged for Sasha to be drugged and held at a psych facility, Lauren Swickard appeared on GH as an employee of that facility for approximately 10 episodes. Her GH episodes were in autumn 2023, a month or two before the Amanda/Josh fan zoom. Lauren and Josh met when they appeared together in a cowboy movie "Roped". They later acted in Christmas movies together, that she wrote. New: an interview from October 2024, on a Christian lifestyles/relationships show, with Josh and Lauren. Josh says his father and grandfather are ministers. At about 17 minutes in, Lauren and Josh start talking about the decision they made within their marriage about certain types of scenes they might appear in as actors -- the "boundaries" and what would their children think - similar to what was in the Amanda/Josh fan zoom from 2023, and with more detail from Josh on his thoughts on sex and art. https://lifestyle.org/episode/chasing-faith-and-family-with-josh-and-lauren-swickard/ https://vimeo.com/1023748485
  18. I know most at SON have already seen this, but here is a refresher for anyone who missed it, yeah the brass okayed it and the actors nixed bra straps. From the fan zoom with Josh and Amanda, November 2023, they said they don't want to show their characters in hot lovemaking scenes, because they are each committed to their real-life spouse, and they are concerned what will happen when their real-life children become teens and see GH clips online. Here is a recap of that part of the zoom event: https://soaphub.com/general-hospital/news-gh/ghs-josh-swickard-and-amanda-setton-talk-boundaries-and-a-special-kind-of-steamy/ Quote: “So…far, the writers and the producers are super respectful of that, and we’re very grateful, and we are willing to chemistry it up and make-out up and make it all good in that way. But in terms of side by side in a bed with bra straps, it’s a bit of a boundary for us.”

  20. You could simply link to it, saying "Susan Seaforth Hayes’s eulogy begins at one hour and 18 minutes into the memorial service."
  21. This is amazing. I hadn't seen this before. Michele Val Jean is listed last in the writing credits, does that mean she was the scriptwriter or breakdown writer for the episode? Transcript here: https://tvmegasite.net/transcripts/gh/older/1995/gh-trans-11-29-95.shtml Lucky's thoughts are well-written but it's what JJ puts into it to bring it to life
  22. Susan Seaforth Hayes on filming Doug's death https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/days-exclusive-susan-seaforth-hayes-on-the-hardest-moment-of-dougs-death/ notes Hayes. “I was particularly excited to see Gloria Loring [Liz] and getting to hear her sing again [at Doug’s funeral]. We were allowed, budget-wise, to have one piece of music at the funeral.” That piece of music, which Seaforth Hayes performed at the soap’s recent Day of Days event with her personal assistant, Amy Shaughnessy, and Hall, is the classic “Always (I’ll Be Loving You).” “It’s significant for the show,” notes the actress. “And it’s significant for Doug and Julie.”
  23. I don't feel comfortable with you posting Susan's real-life eulogy on your Rumble account. Why not just link to her church's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdy2F-V29YU It was streamed from the church publicly but still, I don't think it belongs to anyone except the family and close friends.
  24. No, this isn't like the Victoria Rowell situation. She had valid reasons for her lawsuit. She did eventually work things out with CBS. She appeared on the Y&R cast tribute episode for Kristoff. She was invited to the Y&R 50th Anniversary party last year and was photographed at the party posing at a red carpet photo area that had CBS and Sony logos. https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/victoria-rowell-attends-red-carpet-event-for-the-50th-news-photo/1474282794 More pics: https://www.gettyimages.com/search/2/image?begindate=2023-03-17&enddate=2023-03-17&family=editorial&phrase=victoria%20rowell The only person/entity she hadn't worked things out with is Steve Kent.
