  1. Wendy Moniz as Felicia Forrester on Bold and Beautiful: She and a young adult Dino move back to LA from Paris to lead the design team at Forrester. While she shows concern for Eric still being married to Quinn and perhaps, she becomes attracted to Bill.

Jessica Collins or Charlotte Ross as Kristen Forrester Dominguez on Bold and Beautiful: She's not needed on canvas daily. But I think one of them would fit in visiting LA frequently as she checks in on Zende and the rest of the family and the company too.

I second Gina Tognoni as Dr. Sarah Webber on GH. It would expand the Hardy/Webber family. In addition to her wanting to take over Chief of Staff duties believing a Hardy should be running the hospital again.

Kim Matula as Serena Baldwin on GH

Jeff Branson as Lucky Spencer on GH

I liked Gwen when she was first introduced as Claire's friend in the psych ward.

Me too. I was hoping it was going to come out she was somehow Eve Donovan's long-lost daughter. But now I want her gone. And it's sad because I like Emily O'Brien and remember wanting her as Jeannie Theresa Donovan when she left Why and Are.

Rafe Kovich Jr. (General Hospital)- For the summer of 2013 he was going to be part of the teen quad with Molly/TJ/Taylor who was later fostered by Silas and Sam. It seemed they wanted to play up his Barrington legacy when Alexis had brought up his pedigree to Diane but it never anywhere else. Then they killed him off in a car accident and his heart went to Alice.

Taylor DuBois (General Hospital) - Felix's teenage sister who was eventually recast she was the spoiler in the TJ/Molly story. She just disappeared and never mentioned again along with Felix who we hardly see anymore. She was blackmailing Felix about him not telling their parents he was gay too.

Shauna Nelson - (The Young and The Restless) - Hilary and Devon took her in as their "pseudo foster child" she dated Charlie and knew Lily had run that red light that killed Hilary. It seemed like they were planning to do more with her, Mattie, and Charlie until TPTB were like "Nope" and they sent her off to live in Colorado. I remember wanting her aunt to come to town to become romantically linked to Neil before KSJ's death.

Weirdly enough we got a Taylor mention from Felix today.

He was good sometimes. Other times he was awful. YMMV.

Trevor in my opinion is one of those actors who is good it shows. But when he isn't feeling the material, it shows that he is checked out. I think after the Evangeline pairing didn't happen, he permanently checked out except for certain scenes and with Florencia when they paired him with Tea.

If anything, Trevor should be playing Tom Hardy who decides to take over GH. I mean Liz could always use more family.

Like, I don't begrudge soap characters getting media jobs when it suits them. I know Leanna Love was a gossip columnist at one point and had that talk show or whatever. Luna on OLTL did Loveline and it worked for the character, and I championed it when Nora got her kooky podcast/radio show (in honor of Luna, IMO) as a sideline on the online OLTL, because that's a hinge character who's part of an entrenched elder supercouple - at that age characters like that who are that popular together (and had just had several major frontburner years immediately prior on the network show) are not going to break up, and you can find other ways to mix them in. No harm done.

But corporate scion Billy Abbott? On Y&R? Doing a wellness podcast? I don't get it!

I love it back in the day when characters worked for WSPR and The Springfield Journal on Guiding Light.

But on Why and Are with first Restless Style, and that GC Buzz and now with all those ancillary media companies. At this point I just want characters to go back working for Newman, Jabot, and Hamilton-Winters competing over cosmetics again.

I imagine there is a factor about the actors' wishes but the difference to me is that Sarah Wiseman's stint was announced to be a limited-time stint from the get-go because she is very busy outside the show.
A lot of these younger actors have nothing going on that could justify demanding only a one-year tenure.
I am very sceptical that of the two dozen leading characters they have cycled through the past three years, several would not have loved to have a steady gig (during a pandemic!) for a few more years than the year-to-18-months characters cycle through these days.

Worth noting that the official SS Facebook page had a "Do you think Tom will be back?" post the day after his exit.

Maybe I am reading too much into it but that would seem a strange thing to tease if they were not fully leaving the door open with the actor.

While that particular note worked, I actually hated the insta-reconciliation between Tom and Jack. It rang so false.
When they were briefly pushing the Amelie custody issue, Maeve of all people asked Jack of all people to talk Tom out of it saying: "If you can't, then no one else can". How in the hell do they figure? They had been reconciled for a hot minute by that point. The Jack fluffing makes me dislike the character more than he deserves.
But I did like Tom spotting Hamish for what he is.
Funnily enough just yesterday I was rewatching old Shorty episodes on YouTube and they had a similar line during the Jai-cheating-on-Maia affair where Mark responds to Jai scoffing that he doesn't know whether she slept with Dylan or not: "Never kid a kidder, Jai".

That's exactly the problem. I don't mind a character that starts off as immature and irritatingly goofy lasting - the actress is good and Dawn is likeable enough. It is just that she has not grown up. They are writing her exactly the same despite all the tragic stuff that has happened to her that could easily have allowed them to take her down a few notches.

On one hand they do indeed not seem to know where to take Louis. On the other hand, they need whitebread leading men and after taking out Tom, taking out Louis would only leave Viliami whose entire purpose on the show is the Madonna connection.
So I imagine we are due for new characters to be introduced soon if they are writing out Louis. Probably a family

Or, and it won't happen, I wish they would explore returning some old characters. Feel there is a huge bank of past characters and at least some of these actors would welcome a chance for a job. The NZ acting scene can't be that big.

Who some of the old characters would you bring back if you had the chance?

    GH:

Holly's return in 1992 was odd timing because Finola had quit a few months before and Tristan was leaving..so she remained for 18 months in some outdated adventure story and paired with Bill Eckert that went nowhere.

Nikki Langton in 1992..she was Dawn's half sister and she kind of looked like Dawn..so I could have seen Monica being motherly to her.  I think the malpractice lawsuit was a smart idea..and then hooking up with AJ.  Would have been interesting to have had her be the nightmare Quartermaine daughter in law...but she was quickly written off.

I always wanted Nikki Langton to return with AJ's child. Imagine if it had been Nelle who was getting back at Sonny and Carly for taking away the father she never met.

Why do we need a “To be continued…” on a fücking soap opera? 😂

@Veesaid they’d never pair Terry with anyone the show actually cared about. Hence digging deep into the archives.

I was hoping that somehow her date turned out to be a returning Tommy Hardy. I know it sounds crazy but at least we would have him back on screen and not to mention Terry would finally have a love interest worth a damn being a Hardy and Liz's cousin.

  10. Ali Forrester - Bold and Beautiful

What was the point of having a similar death to her mother's on PCH? I wish they would've at least had Thorne send her out of town to get professional help in Paris or Milan. And not to mention that Ashlyn Pearce was a good actress. Also, there aren't too many legacy Forrester children outside of Ridge's tribe either. So much could've been done with the character. And I wish someone would've told her that Darla wasn't as perfect as she had built her up in her head. That she, too, was like Steffy and other women when she was her age.

Juliet Helton- The Young And The Restless

The character could've been in the vein of Mari Jo Mason, of sorts, if they had her be a corporate maven who created havoc on the canvas. Instead, the actress needed a red bull. Not to mention, they didn't know if she was a vixen, corporate maven, or heroine who needed protection. So, they killed her in childbirth when she gave birth to the walking stick's child, which no one hardly mentions.

I wish they would pull him off the Tessa train and have him have a string of hookups. I would give him a story that would start with a  fluid sex addiction that leads into a drug addiction. But Josh Grifith will just keep the puppy dog eyes over his sister's fiance.

    I would watch this!!!

I think it was possible to do a good show without Bobby. But in primetime, once the audience starts to decline, it’s very hard to get them back. Dynasty is a good example: they finally fixed the show in season 9, but the audience never returned (the change of night didn’t help). LA Law is another good example: they changed showrunners and lost a few cast members starting with season 6. The audience greatly declined. Even though they eventually fixed the show, the audience never returned.

That’s one of the reasons they brought back Bobby - it got people talking about the show again. The cliffhanger episode with Bobby returning was the the highest rated episode of the season, tying with the season premiere. And the following season premiere was the highest rated episode since Bobby’s “death.” It’s too bad they explained his return away so quickly - they fumbled a chance to hook the audience again.

I binged LA Law for the first-time last year when it was on IMDbTV and Season 6 was pretty bad. Who idea it was to have Leland and Grace kiss? Man, that was terrible.
