    Y&R

When Paul faked his death during the Cassandra story, he revealed to Lauren that he was alive.

She then went off and married Scott.

IMO it would have been better for Lauren to believe that Paul was dead, thus deciding she needed to move on with Scott. So that when Paul is revealed to be alive, there is immediate conflict as Scott would wonder if Lauren now regrets the marriage and Lauren herself second guessing her choice now that Paul is available.

When Leslie Brooks attended the Tuscan wedding, there should have been some discussion with Jack about their connection through Theo.

I was hoping they would've had Leslie mention to Jack that she and the sisters visited Theo. Or at least a mention of Brooks now running Prentiss. But she was mostly used as a background character instead of the legacy character that she is.

Remember when CBS tried to be young and cool in 1995/96? This was another low point in their primetime mess era 1986/87 to 2000/01.

CBS's only Top 10 show in 1995/96 was 60 Minutes at 9th and their Top 30 shows were The Nanny at 16th, Walker Texas Ranger and Murphy Brown tied for 18th, Chicago Hope at 23rd, and CBS Sunday Movie and Can't Hurry Love (first and only season) tied for 24th. CBS's only new fall show to return in 1996/97 was Almost Perfect and their only midseason show to return in 1996/97 was Nash Bridges. 1995/96 was also the final seasons for Due South, Murder She Wrote, Picket Fences, and Rescue 911.

The You're on CBS promos remind me something like HBO would've done around this era.

Reading some comments about Jason Thompson in the Y&R thread and how he is miscast as Billy, made me think about how some actors who are NQR as their character may be better suited to another role on the show, either on canvas or not.

I could see JT as Adam. The whole angsty/introspective shtick seems better suited to the Adam character. Of course he might be too old but as this is just wishful, why not/

Gina Tognoni would have rocked as Victoria, whereas her Phyllis, while fine, had the shadow of MS over her. And Phyllis is a horrible character anyway.

    Connor Floyd as Daniel Romalotti?

Anyway, looking forward to your suggestions!

Well before Gina went back to One Life To Live Allegedly Why and Are wanted her as Victoria but she wanted to stay on the East Coast.

Lindsay Korman could have been Taylor, Nicoles' sister on DAYS, instead of go nowhere Arianna. Kassie DePaiva is a great actress, but miscast as hell! She could have played Melissa easily, and still use her accent.

Kassie would've been a good Mellssa. And imagine instead of Melissa Archer playing that nothing Serena character. She ended up playing Sarah Horton.

I always assumed Savalas was the abusive guy they were talking about.  It would be awful if it's not, but he's really the only one that fits the timeline as they were together for a few years at least.  That's why I don't think TS dated JW because it would only be a small period of time where she was single while he was on the show.

I can't remember Joe much at all.  Didn't he have a bad heart or something?

No really on topic, but is anyone still amazed at how many hot girls BAG managed to date/marry/impregnate?  He turned out to be a really handsome guy, but he seems like kinda an ass.

He had a bad heart and couldn't play football anymore. I never bought him as a QB to begin with.

    Big Twist

Kristen and Felicia return and both get ongoing storylines.

    I wish this would happen.

Imagine Felicia coming home and constantly getting into it with Quinn due to her cheating on her father with Carter which Eric got completely over within a week in addition to treating Carter like his personal "Mandingo"

Maybe Sheila will end up killing Thomas when he threatens to expose her to Brooke and Ridge?? As terrible as that would be if that's what the big secret is, that's totally up Thudley's Ally.

Probably not. Brad only like killing off legacy children of Thorne, Felicia and Kristen only. 🤣

Speaking of Ray, I really did like the character and he had good chemistry with both Donna and Valerie. At the beginning of season 6, when JW was upgraded to series regular, they sort of had redeemed his character – he and Donna had spent a harmonic summer and even Queen Kelly Taylor called Ray a "good guy" in one of the early season 6 episodes. Then, a few episodes into the season, he suddenly began acting like a jerk again after Donna had found about his affair with Valerie. A few weeks later, he was written off the show, with him having his last scene with Brandon of all people. However, JW probably didn't leave on bad terms with TPTB because he did appear as a guest star later that season and in a season 7 episode where Ray was presented as reformed and happy.

Ray's "replacement" Joe was one of the most boring characters I've ever seen on a tv show.

I would never buy Joe or Cameron Bancroft as an all-star QB for essentially UCLA. I'm like you could've picked any other sport but that one for him.

The dialogue between Chance, Abby, Devon, and Amanda was really atrocious. The whole thing reminded me of some cheesy afterschool specials from the late 80s or one of those cheesy “a very special” episodes NBC family sitcoms like the Hogan Family use to do the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Other than the Traci scenes and Victor and Jack scenes, today was miserable as usual.

MS Phyllis giggling strangely over talking about Jack losing Luan was the worst part of the episode.

It seems like they're painting that Keemo was in the wrong for not accepting Jack's invitation for a reconciliation while Jack is the wounded victim. In this case it should be Jack was in the wrong and had all these years to reach out to Keemo even hiring a PI to locate him.

Exactly, the ones who are more Caucasian presenting.

They placed him in the wrong age group, and never tried to integrate him much, although if they did the "fandom" would scream about him forced down their throats, so there was no winning.

He had more scenes with Ashley and Phyllis than he did with Noah, Devon, Mariah etc.,

It is really sad how Thudley always makes sure Brooke is painted as the slut from the Valley, when Taylor pretty much is a slut too. I tuned out in 2013 but why do i think Taylor only dated Eric to spite Brooke? I thought she even said something along the lines of it being “revenge” against Brooke.

ugh this is why 2010-2013 B&B is never something I would want to watch again…Taylor and Steffys hypocrisy was at an all time low. They never were held accountable for either of it. B&B  was actually so much better the years it was either just Hope or Steffy on the show imo.

I need for someone to point Steffy, Taylor and Ridge's sordid history. Because this show acts like they have never did anything wrong.

Phyllis is useless and instead of cutting their losses (MS is waaaaay too “popular”), they bring back her dotter to give her something to do. I’d rather see Daniel and Lucy instead of Dummer redux. Some fresh dynamics, please, and Daniel can work on luring Lily away from Billy.

And Lucy could heat up the bland coupling of Moses and Faith. I would make her a mess like Granny Phyllis.

PB should be thrilled if they're expanding the Abbott family in any way at this point...and it would be great to actually see more diversity. This is 2021. I'd rather that they'd bring on his hot grandson though versus a love interest for sleepy Noah though. :)

I know the Rosales clan didn't set the world on fire, but this show desperately needs a new core family OR families! How many times can a Newman marry an Abbott? It's like the Horton/Bradys on DAYS at this point. It's just one big incestuous family now. And, it would be great to have some characters who weren't already billionaires for contrast!

I wish they would've made Mia a sister instead of Rey's ex-wife. It seemed like they were going to make her the next generation Jill Foster. Imagine if she would be the one who took care of the family while the father left, and mother worked all of the time. And she sacrificed her hopes and ambitions so the rest of her siblings could have theirs. She could've come onto the canvas as someone who finally wants her dreams to come true come hell or high water.

I never understood the whole PB-vetoes-mentions-of-Keemo gossip. I can understand why he hated the original story but it is canon now so he should be happy there is that entire line of potential family members and stories for him just hanging out there.

I just hope this is an actual long story and not something that is over in two weeks aka the Josh Grifith Why and Are Special.

Honestly this whole thing with Brookes relapse and kissing Deacon really should have been Steffys story. There really was no reason for Deacon or even Taylor to come back, and they could have had it simply Sheila is gaslighting and making Steffy get addicted to pills to get closer to Finn and Hayes and Steffy is sent to rehab. Yet somehow this has turned into another Brooke “scandal” and Logan vs Forrester tired feud. They could have even had a drugged up Steffy come on to Bill (certainly not Liam this time)  or hell even Carter for someone different, while Finn seethes and starts to doubt Steffy pushing Sheila’s agenda further.

    THIS! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Imagine a drugged Steffy's effect on Forrester. I mean Brooke could be the first one to notice something is not right with her. But everyone else is like "She's fine, she is just tired with her being a wife, mother, and Co-CEO." But Brooke suspects she is back on opioids. The company starts to falter causing Eric, Ridge, Brooke, Thomas, Finn, Liam and Hope to bring about an intervention with Steffy but she is adamant she is fine.

Meanwhile, Sheila uses this as a way to get closer to Finn and Hayes and get inside the house as the "Woman of The House."

And imagine during a Forrester fashion show Brooke is running the show along with Ridge and Eric causing Steffy to get high and starts making a fool of herself in front of everyone with Sheila in the back of the room with her trademark grin.

The press having a field day with the company's Co-CEO and heiress clearly relapsed making the company lose even more money that somehow, they vote Steffy out as CEO and Brooke is voted in. Perhaps this can bring Rick home from International and Felicia can come home to lead the design team when Thomas takes a leave of absence because he doesn't want to work for Brooke.

They could've used JMW maternity leave as a trip to rehab while being determined to win back everything she has lost. While Sheila has made it inside the house with Finn and Hayes causing Taylor to be concerned.

It's not that hard to write The Bold and The Beautiful.

I wonder if Charlotte Ross (Eve, DAYS) would have been a good replacement for Anne Heche (Vicky/Marley) when she left? I think as Eve, Charlotte played the innocence and wild child well.

I think Charlotte would've nailed Vicky's brash side and Marley's more innocent personality.
