Seriously, we have Chelsea who tried to poison Rey, now buddying up to him and walking free??

Josh seems to come up with plots and doesn't have to worry about follow through because he'll pretend it never happened.

Of the top of my head, some plots that would take characters in a new direction.

Imani makes serious moves on Nate, who can't help but be attracted. Build up some tension. Have Elena reconnect with Devon so we can move toward Devon/Nate/Amanda/Elena/Imani. Lots of twists and turns.

Jack returns from NY and tells Phyllis he doesn't want to re-unite. Daniel and Lucy return and Phyllis can be focused on them a while.

Lily tires of Billy's antics and turns to Daniel her ex. Lucy becomes part of a triangle with Faith and Moses.

Nick hooks up with Sally which annoys Adam and Phyllis.

Sharon and Rey team up to investiagate her father and something comes to light that triggers that search.

Chelsea decides she wants to be a part of Johhnys life which causes problems for the Newmans as Billy agrees to it.

After talking to Mariah, Devon realizes he has to pull back from Dom. He wants to experience fatherhood but Amanda is reluctant and confides to Imani she doesn't want children.

Does any of that sound better than what's coming up?

I would gladly watch this 5 Days a week if this was carried out on my screen.

I would also add Johnny and Chelsea become close with the truth of her being his biological mother hanging over them. Meanwhile, Johnny also gets close to Lucy as well as has a rivalry with Connor over her and their place in the family. Somehow the truth of his parentage comes out at Johnny's 16th Birthday party.

The amount of vets is never a problem.  It’s how you use them.  Newman wasn’t always just filled with that family.  We had Neil, Ryan, Jill, and the Jabot characters/storylines.  And they had their own orbits away from Newman.  The show wasn’t just a snake eating it’s own tail all the time.

The problem for me is that they tried to keep Victor the same player he was in 1991, and gave up on the actor that could anchor the future of the manipulative and vindictive side of that family- Heather Tom’s Victoria.  We have Nick and Sharon maybe rushed too fast into marriage and family stories, and then almost 30 years treating them like they are in their 20’s.  They won’t let newer character organically exist because they won’t move the older players forward.

THIS! We should be seeing Nick and Sharon dealing with things that comes in your 40's and 50's with teenage/adult children. They're getting stories that Mariah and Noah should be getting in their 20's and 30's. Meanwhile, Mariah/Tessa is about to adopt, and Noah is in between jobs bumming on Sharon's couch.

Not to mention they have neglected Newman and Jabot for these tired ancillary companies. Why aren't we seeing Newman and Jabot going against each other in cosmetics? Even in SOD Bryton said he talked to Josh Grifith about wanting Hamilton-Winters to have some on-screen merit on this show.

I will never for the life of me understand why Bell killed Aly. Talk about unnecessarily short-sighted. Not that I want to encourage the merry go-round for the Spencer brothers but imagine what having a third Forrester option for Liam and Wyatt - and one that is slightly coo-coo and hates Steffy in a more visceral way than "sweet" Hope - could have done to make this ever so slightly less tedious while keeping Forresters front and center.

And keeping Thorne in the mix.

Makes no sense whatsoever. If anything, he wanted to rid of Aly he could've sent her to live with Thorne in Paris or at least sent her away to some psychiatric facility in Europe. As long as she was left alive. But nope! Let's kill off another generation of Forrester's. Not to mention I was hoping someone would inform her that her mother who she held so dear of being perfect was a ditzy woman who wasn't afraid of her sexuality.

I wish Bold would feature more of their next generation that isn't Hope/Liam/Steffy/Insert fourth person.

Recast Zende with someone else. Bring back Little Deacon all grown up. RJ, Dino, Mary Warwick etc., it's no excuse for this show to be once again solely about Hope/Liam/Steffy.

    A thought.

As much as I hate SORASING and think Phyllis id disposable at this point...

Why not bring in her grandaughter Lucy?

She is roughly the same age as Faith and Moses, so could provide some much needed oomph to their non story.

She could land on Phyllis' doorstep and demand her gran steps up to provide some support. Have Phyllis feel guilty that she hasn't had much interaction.

Maybe Daniel returns for a few eps to give some context. While he's in town he could hook up with his ex Lily to provide angst for her and Billy.

Of course, Lucy being a spoiler for Faith/Moses would bring Phyllis into conflict with Sharon and Nick,Victor and Nikki.

    Lots of story possibilities.

The big stumbling block is whether the show and La Staff would want Phyllis as a grandmother.

    What do you think??

I've been saying this on Twitter for a long time now. Lucy should be a rebellious mess like Granny Phyllis. But deep down has a good heart. They should go ahead and do this and also add a teenage Johnny, Connor, and an unrelated black or POC teen to the canvas too.

MS would have to deal with it. She can't play the romantic lead forever. Besides she needs all the family she can get on the canvas at the moment.

Was he?  BW was a fairly big name to be a temp, but SK's departure was always mysterious to me.  I know he said he left due to alcohol issues, but I always assumed he was fired and would never be back.  AJ had a big story back then so was the show assuming SK would be back after rehab or was the showing casting a wider net for a recast?

Didn't Sean get fired for doing something on the plane during the night of the Emmy's or something?

  6. I wouldn't mind if ABC would take a stab at doing a Ryan's Hope reboot for Primetime. I would of course have it set in Washington Heights and have the cast be diverse. Perhaps make Delia and Bob Afro-Latino.

I mean the reboot to LA Law finally got picked up ... well for a pilot. but it's probably going to go forward. I can see them maybe picking up Pine Valley for perhaps a Mid-Season or Summer run if the series does get a series order.

It was nice to see Tamara Tunie though. I think I already knew that she would be working with Kasi Lemmons, so hopefully they'll do something online together. I'd love to hear from them about when they worked together on World Turns.

    You're Right!

He mentioned it. I don't know if the question originated from the chat or not, but he definitely talked as though this were the case. Kim's murder trial was over before Jessica appeared onscreen.

It was so long ago, I can't blame Tamara Tunie for not remembering, but it's sad that he would say it and be so sure of himself, because it's wrong information.

This is why he need to solicit questions from fans via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
