  1. Not ringing any bells, but I didn't start watching until '96. They could still do another.
  2. I just thought of another one! How about Bold and the Beautiful has big earthquake after 36 years! How have they not gone that route yet? Or for the sake of the soap gods, wildfires?!
  3. I have written a few soaps over past 25 years. One character I've always been attached to is Cali Claybourne, she's a bitch in the vein of Belle Clemens. She just bitch because she wants to be!
  4. You can do grounded stories that aren't boring, it's just that no one wants to write them! Quite frankly all the soaps are boring as hell right now. That's why I'm getting back into writing my own.
  5. It really couldn't hurt to create someone new for a change, or reinvent a character we haven't seen in a long time.
  6. What needs to happen is a really good main villain on any of the soaps. Someone who's not there you be redeemed and just have an evil reign of terror for a good while.
  7. They need to focus more on giving her a personality and then they can dress her accordingly.
  8. I haven't watched much the past few months, but I did like Cady in the role when I saw her the first time.
  9. I never much cared for Jennifer myself. She's always been so holier than thou. Now she just looks so matronly.
  10. Yay! A scene of JJ trying to act, so the while with that constant ready to cry face. At least it's justified now, I guess. I can't say that there's anything going on right now to keep my attention. From the casting to writing, it's all pretty bad right now. Unpopular Opinion: I miss the Langan DAYS. Aside from Virtual Eden, the show was can't miss almost every day.
  11. Well it's time to come off it!
  12. Right?!! Maybe she can get some edge now that she's been hurt. Not likely, but hey!
  13. So, the kind of stuff that people ate up in the 80s?!
  14. Maybe she should check out the wardrobe for her character. I'm not sure if she'd laugh or cry.
  15. I agree. You can't build a story behind two bland characters. At least Allie is pretty much a blank canvas, she's got potential to go somewhere. Noah needs a jolt of some sort. A secret boyfriend. A drug problem. Goals! Ambition! That's what's missing from the younger set! Too much focus on pairing them with nothing to root for. I wish Ravi was still around so Noah could have a friend and a talk to or even competition. All the youths are married off so they can't even have some good scenes together. Even if 75% are related.
  16. Ooh! Tessa finally got a new hairstyle! That's the most exciting thing I've seen since the Diane/Nikki slaps.
  17. Sad but true! Hell, look what happened to Ivy! Do characters even have friends anymore?!
  18. Too bad that the show is so quick to eliminate any and all auxiliary families. They Avants were good. Sasha had the makings of a great conniving bitch
  19. I stand by what I said. What were they going to do with her? Hook her up with Philip? Wait... I'm not mad at that!
  20. Yes it was! Shauna wasn't expecting that at all! Apparently neither was Brooke! Brooke was too shook to even retaliate, Quinn would have worn her out of she had!
  21. It would be nice to see some effort into mixing her up with some different characters. Does she have any friends?
  22. Yeah! Sarah is bad too! I always forget about her. Sal probably left because she knows with Eli gone she's going straight to the Island of Lost Toys!
  23. That's one of my favorite soap scenes EVER! It sounds like something I would say!
